I saw Brian live twice . He had the second bass guitar each time . On this video , that may be a piccolo bass . I believe it has at least a 34" scale length , but is tuned an octave higher . He is a great musician .

You can tell by the sticks and the cymbal set up, that this is Dave weckl. Its the same set up he uses for all the Chick Corea albums, he's used for years. And the drumsticks are by Vic Firth. Its the Dave weckl series sticks. Just look at the Chick Corea Elektric band videos and you will see the significance. 🙂🙂🙂👍👍
It strongly appears to me as well, that it must be him. Weckl's very typical drumming style and a hanging crash cymbal hit. Best drummer of the world. Absolutely.
