@endingtherapture You can go to Portugal, Spain, France, Brazil or the North Pole. You're never going to find another one like Nuno. He must be one of the most speicial men on the planet ..... humility, self-depricating humor, and graciousness towards this interviewer.
If you've seen as many interviews of him as I have, I'm sure anyone would agree that Nuno could actually make a living as a stand-up comedian. He's so great in improvising funny stuff to say and always so non-chalant no matter if he's on camera or in radio.

@hellraiser7974 This is not to discredit Nuno's playing ability, but if you take away his tapping, he is a bit limited imo. Whereas you take away Marty's sweeping and he still has a ton of skill left. His fingering is more intricate and has more melodic control when he plays fast. His use of arpeggios and playing off the relative key for instance. What you said about Nunos albums I could just as easily say about Rust in Peace, Dragon's Kiss, Loudspeaker, and Speed Metal Symphony. Effing CRAZY.

Is he a christian or does his words "God is love..." concern only a phrase? In one of his songs he puts Jesus at the same level like the comicfigure Superman...? From Gary i know he is a deep believing christian.
@hellraiser7974 They can both do things the other can't. Marty is amazing with sweeps and even better with melody(especially exotic lead playing), vibrato/bending and his improvisation kills. They're both very creative and original though. Nuno is great with tapping and is a really strong rhythm player, but it's unfair to say he's better than Friedman. Friedman isn't just a 'good' player. He's downright gifted as hell. I love Nuno but no one is going to convince me he's 'better'han Marty.
Nuno is the shit and he tends to have a great sense of humor... too bad the person that's holding the interview is very uptight! He must have felt uncomfortable!
