    Great review ! Good that you compared this with the BMW 7 series PHEV to get a better understanding.

    Hi paultan, i think you guys did a great job with this video but i really think you guys should do a head to head between the BMW 740Le against the Mercedes S400h. ☺. You guys still did a great job with all your videos. Thank you

      Hafriz Shah i actually want to buy this 740le but im not quite sure because the s400h also comes in mind but which would you take ? and pls think of every espect because yhe safety system is identical but in some way the 740le is better but in some way the s400h. so which would you take home ?

    • @hafrizshah4937

      Personally I'd go for the S-Class because I personally prefer the look and feel of it over the 7 Series. At the end of the day, choosing between these two will come down to your own personal preference.
      One thing that's a must is to try out both models. For instance, while I prefer the rear seats of the S-Class, Paul prefers that on the 7 Series for its broader adjustability and the seat belt position.
      The rest of it are very close cut. The S-Class is, to me, still very slightly more comfortable and refined, but the 7 Series comes very close in this respect, while being significantly better to drive. The S-Class has a classier interior, but the 7 Series has a better infotainment system and is clearly the more technologically advanced of the two in terms of cabin toys.
      It's all tit for tat, really. So like I said, it will ultimately come down to your own personal preference. You can't really go wrong with either, thought ;)

      Hafriz Shah thank you so much for your early response but i think i will agree with paul and go for 7 series. i think it has better driving dynamics and way more fuel efficent and obviously better gadgets. i also feet the quality is a cut above the s class. btw i hv driven and been in both cars. thx alot haftiz shah but i will definately go for 740le. once again phenominal job on the car review. hope to see more vid coming up. and if you guys could you should do a heat to head

    This is the old, 2014 model interior. It is most obvious from the split instrument panel. The new 2017 model is using a single panel.

      Yes, this is the pre-facelift model. The new W222 facelift won't arrive in Malaysia until 2018.

    A video well done with clear explanations about hands-on experience. Personally, I feel the video is a bit too soft, don't you think?

    If the car is supposed to be comfortable than the power should be delivered linearly. The jerky drives are fun but that's not what you'd want when you get into a car after a stressful day. Well at least that's what I think.

    Good improvement. Much slower pace of speech for better understanding. Next thing, you might want to add intonation so that you can stress out or highlight important information to viewers. Other than that your pronunciation is very good. I respect that

    Was this video captured on 60fps and downsampled to 30fps? There is some unnatural look to it which is very different from past videos.

    The HK sound system in the 7 does NOT sound better. Even the 13-speaker Burmester system (not the top-end one) blows the HK out of the water when you play lossless quality audio on both. If you're comparing the top-end Bowers & Wilkins audio in the 7 to this, then undoubtedly the former sounds better. But the HK cannot even hold a candle to the base Burmester system. I think you either used different quality audio for each or you are not accustomed to good sound.

    • @hafrizshah4937
      @hafrizshah4937 7 лет назад

      As you duly know, sound quality is always subjective. In our opinion, the G12 7 Series' mid-line Harman Kardon setup sounds better than the W222 S-Class' mid-line Burmester audio system - and that's based on regular, everyday-use inputs such as the radio, iPod and Spotify. The Burmester's absolute clarity is undeniable - and the flashy speaker grilles are second to none - but we enjoy listening to the Harman Kardon system's sound signature more - purely subjectively, of course. And this comes from a person who listens to the similar-sounding 13-speaker, 590-watt Burmester setup in his W205 C300 AMG Line every day.
      Of course, you may well be correct with regards to lossless audio. The Burmester may well sound better than the Harman Kardon when playing lossless audio. We can't say that for ourselves as we've never tried it.
      Generally speaking, however, we stand by our opinion on this, and we're not the only ones with the same thoughts.

    • @Kr0nicridah
      @Kr0nicridah 7 лет назад

      Hafriz Shah Yes, sound quality is subjective. However, there are also some objective measures for it. Clarity is one, and harmonic range is the other. While you may prefer the sound signature of the HK system, I find that it doesn't capture strumming, the reverberations following the crashing of a pair of cymbals, and the intricacies of a particularly challenging passage of a violin concerto. I also find the clarity on the HK system lacking compared to that of the Burmester. For me, sound signature doesn't matter when you can't even hear what you're meant to be hearing. But at the end of the day, these are just car systems and car interiors are a terrible acoustic space.

    I'm wondering why most of high end car have no fog lamp ?

    • @hafrizshah4937

      Khairul Hifni for newer Mercedes-Benz models with Intelligent Lighting System (ILS), the headlights will automatically adjust its intensity and throw to mimic front fog lamps when you engage the rear fog lamp.

      Buat masa sekarang, kami sudah sediakan video bagi model-model Mazda3, Ford Ranger FX4 dan Peugeot 208/2008.
