I love this tune! I used to play this one as a cover in an old band back in the day. As drummer and vocalist this was one of my favorite covers that we did. I always really looked forward to this cover when I saw it on our set list. It was usually the last song of our first set, right before intermission. Great reaction brother! Let me just tell you. I saw primus in a club in Orlando in 97-98. I was 17-18 and had been going to a lot of shows for a couple years. I’d seen some high energy shows. My brother and I had listened to primus for 3-4 years at that point and all I can say is that we were not ready. The energy of that show and that crowd was next level. It felt heavier than anything ever had the right to be.
After watching you watch primus and how you react and actually give them a shot thank you for being open minded and willing to try different genres you have definitely earned yourself a sub and fan bro!

One time I went to one of their shows with my wife and a couple of friends, it was at a little bar so we were sitting at the table and on the last song he said that he wanted everybody at the front of the stage my wife didnt want to go up there so we stayed at table and about a minute into the song he climbs down off of the stage and on top of our table and keeps performing AND he was wearing nothing but his boxers and boots. Funniest damn thing ive ever seen. My wife asked me later that night why he did I told her cause we didn't go up there to the stage so he came to us.

Great! Yes, creative genius. Les has an endless display of band projects he's been in. So musically creative with great enlightened lyrics. He's played with the drummer of the Police and the keyboardist of Parliament Funkadelic and Buckethead. And certainly he's talked about being against the norm and question the way society is in a majority of his lyrics.
Sometimes Primus is nonsense, but when Les has something to say, he doesn't beat around the bush. He just says it straight out. No sugar coating.

One time I went to one of their shows with my wife and a couple of friends, it was at a little bar so we were sitting at the table and on the last song he said that he wanted everybody at the front of the stage my wife didnt want to go up there so we stayed at table and about a minute into the song he climbs down off of the stage and on top of our table and keeps performing AND he was wearing nothing but his boxers and boots. Funniest damn thing ive ever seen. My wife asked me later that night why he did I told her cause we didn't go up there to the stage so he came to us.

I first heard them in the early 90’s when Miller Genuine Draft was giving out CD singles of different bands with their 15 packs. You also had a chance to win something else, which let you know at the end of the disc after the song. Geez, am I that old? 🙄

I've seen Primus six times and will continue to go as many times as I possibly can, they're so good live too, and I've gotten to see a bunch of other cool bands because of them

When people ask me what is my favourite Primus song I almost always say "Too Many Puppies." The lyrics are just perfect and the riffs are so heavy.
I am absolutely impressed that you enjoy Primus. They are an acquired taste for most. But they were the first real concert I ever went to when I was 18- 15 years ago.
I am so glad that I got to see these guys in their heydays. Very meaningful experience for me.

This song is off the best Primus album in my opinion. One of the best drum albums of all time....just listened to it the other day
Great! Yes, creative genius. Les has an endless display of band projects he's been in. So musically creative with great enlightened lyrics. He's played with the drummer of the Police and the keyboardist of Parliament Funkadelic and Buckethead.
And certainly he's talked about being against the norm and question the way society is in a majority of his lyrics.
