    I have it in my multivitamin and I also take another pill before bed. I aim for 300-360 mg a day.
    This woman didn't even explain the different types of magnesium or the benefits. It can help support sleep, cramping, muscle cramps, lower blood sugar and blood pressure, reduce stress and help with mental health such as anxiety and depression. I take one pill of Life Extension Neuro-mag Magnesium L-threonate from Amazon at night in addition to what's in my multivitamin.

      If you break your leg have a doctor in the hospital fix it. Don't refer to regular doctors for nutrition. No point

      Absolutely Correct.. I take Multivitamin plus 375 -400 mg mag oxide a day.. I happen to test low after being really sick .. but even with DAILY supplementing I'm just barely at bottom of range when they check it. It Depletes fast n I can't function without it. BP will shoot up.. muscle spasms, cramps, headache, Dehydrate, Sinus Infection and the Worst is IRREGULAR Heartbeats If I DON'T take it! Being low n not knowing it had causes heart valve issues.. PVCs, PACs.. anyway.. I wish people like her would QUIT trying to Stop people from getting what they need by Scaring them. Why divvy they SCARE them with THESE Crazy Drugs they Try to put you on for the SYMPTOMS instead of finding out what's Causing the symptom..

      @@lucyluu3539 Try magnesium Glycinate it will be more absorbable. also you can add Bioperine Piperine (black pepper extract), it should increase the absorption! seems to have helped my levels raise more. Solaray makes a Magnesium that has the Bioperine.

    Most of us are deficient on magnesium, Our soil is overfarmed and foods don't contain as much magnesium anymore. Also if you sweat too much in the summer or drink rio much water you can lose electrolytes, things like Gatorade replaces most except Magnesium. I've been in the hospital a few times with heart rhythm issues years ago and it would even stop and restart, they did all sorts of tests over a weeks Stay including a Holter monitor when I got out and found no reason for it. Yet it was still going on ( I had high stress at the time too) Finally a savy Doctor HINTED to me telling me " some people find help by taking magnesium suppliments" I also discovered that out of all the thorough testing the hospital did and tested elecrolytes evenm they did no tests checking magnesium levels. I started taking magnesium and it stopped the issue. The hospital was talking about a pacemaker or a stint with no reason for it besides the heart rhythm a simple cheap magnesium pill is all it took.
    She mentions "unless you've been diagnosed with a magnesium deficiency: It's hard to get diagnosed with that because most doctors will NOT check for it, they are only allowed by the AMA to prescribe Meds . They CAN actually risk their license by suggesting using a supplinent as a treatment instead of a big pharma med. It's our system. PLEASE Stay vigilant of your own health and do your research. Magnesium like anything else can only hurt you if you really take too much and you ld have to take a lot to do what she said can happen unless you are on some other meds. herbs and supplements can have interactions with drugs just like another drug can si always research that before taking. I also noticed later that when I eat a high sodium meal I get rhythm issues a few hours later, and just feel awful but I break open a magnesium capsule when it happens and shake the powder out on or under my tongue and drink some water, and just a few minutes later My heart is back to normal and I also feel much better. so mow I just take one after high sodium meals. I swear by it!

    • @jozefien1702
      @jozefien1702 4 месяца назад

      you are right they say ow get it from your food but if your deficient you can't eat your way out of a deficiency because then you have to eat so much food everyday because our soil is depleted nobody will do that. so better taking a supplement and see what it does.

    I don't take supplements. I had a lot of cramps. A colleague recommended taking magnesium. I began with one capsule per day. I swear I got rid of my cramps, my head got clearer and I didn't feel like a dump after consuming food with sugar.

    So if we do choose to take a magnesium supplement what dose is safe to take? I take 200 jell capsule every other day because it helps me sleep and regular. Magnesium Citrate is what I use. I have a feeling because you are a nutritionist you’re going to say “get it from food” but let’s be honest and real people are gonna take a pill. Thanks Doc

      That is based on your current magnesium level a person with a magnesium of 1.2 can safely tolerate a higher dose than a person who already 2.0
