My main f2p team is Yarkarl as a lead damage, with Ninja to froze, and Arbais with frost while taunting. And its amazing! Lots of CC and also Yakarl does amazing damage (for my standards) against frozen targets. Also one of my most wanted champions is Karilon (he is really good in this team).
I wonder how the mastery for +5% freeze chance works with the sets. Is it +5% for both the Frost set and Frostbite set to make it a 40% chance to be frozen, or is it once giving a 35% chance to be frozen? If it applies per set, triple frostbite would be able to net you 45% total. I have a feeling it doesn't apply per set because an almost 50% chance to be frozen for attacking a champion is a little nuts
I do not mind sharing this. I just got my Quintus so I am taking a break from live arena. I am not using UDK i do not own him. I am using a Noct the Paralyzer. I have him with polymorph, frostbite, and fearsome presence so he does non-stop cc. Plus with his poisons he is usually a damage lead.
Favorite freeze champion? I pulled Criodan early on and he has been super helpful on my account. Just summoned Yakarl during this week's CvC, though, and am anxious to get him built out now. Thanks for another great video, Ash!
imo, Fury is always overlooked. If you have a champ that can operate at 50% hp or below easily then it slaps hard. Best example is Zinogre who also has a similar passive that you can double dip with it. Ninja in clan boss true unkillable teams (not block damage) is also good too since you are sitting at 1hp
I like Blizaar the Howler, freeze and revive.....messes with opponents in arena, pair him with Tormin, Ninja and Arix.......hate party....LOL. And just to comment on the collaboration you did with Colred, very nice Borat approves. You after 4 years of watching CC's are still in my opinion(you know what they say about opinions), the best CC. Thanks for the effort everyday.
Tatura Rimehide would be another great one. Already has a chance to freeze attackers AND can give the rest of the team a perfect veil, forcing the enemy to attack him.
Ash, for a video Idea can you pull shards and take 6 of those champions from how ever you decide to format it and make a hydra team with them? I think it’ll help people out when it comes to new hydra
@@zachg1212 exactly, not every player has all the mechanics but there is some gear sets to make up for it. Someone who has a lot of resources and great gear I think can still tackle hydra such as ash and it would make it a nice challenge. Doesn’t matter what difficulty he goes against it would just be a good video to highlight and show all players what we need and how to attack it
I once tried to freeze udk with ninja but got frozen instead so i though maybe they had deflect gear on. Then i tried to stun him and got frozen too. Then I'm like wtf. Didn't expect him to have an freeze gear on him
Hey ASH just curious I would love to see what I us in arena from your team. The ringer void, ninja, loki, and tormin. They need to go in that order too. I have sky rocketed in arena from this team. Lots of control and damage. You need to be a go first tho. I think the team I use just demolishes most all teams as long as you get you aoe freeze from the ringer.
@@Midsomnyx Sure but stun don't have to get wrecked in the face in order to maybe stop someone. It's important because you can do a stun team with rares which you always have plenty while for freeze team you will need much more survivability. And survivability is way harder to stack on rares than accuracy for stun set, especially now when we have feral and pinpoint.

If we speak about legendaries i guess freeze would be equally good as stun, but imo it's kinda wasteful unless you are late in game and have several copies. But then you could even take the aoe stun champions and give them freeze sets to even more control.
One thing I'm confused on, why not use 3 Frostbite sets instead of 1 Frost and 1 Frostbite? Either way it's 30% chance to freeze attacker (20%+10%) vs (10%+10%+10%) but with 3 Frostbites you get 45% to block freeze debuffs
Each freeze debuff proct at different times,so having it divided gives the skill more chances to land. The computer: #1 freeze debuff.hit #2 freeze debuff.failed. #3 freeze debuff.hit.

you cant just easily make one number to count probability. Fearsome presence adds 5% to every set and they are processed separately. 15 then 15 then 15% to freeze attacker.
I have 2 Tormin's in Stun and Frostbite both with fearsome presence. Run both with a Siphi, UDK and Ignatius. No wave in Doom tower hard stands a chance. Its pretty good in Arena and TT Arena without UDK also.
What's the point of UDK on that team? It must take forever to clear waves with that team. Better off putting in a high damage champ in place of UDK at least, or an aoe burner to have some fun with tormin's passive
Took me over a year, I usually have to do it manually too, I just didn’t understood the mechanics, but even when I did I still had to tune it properly etc. complete ball ache.
My first team that i got to work for dark fae used relic keeper (built as a speed glass cannon). Then I picked other champs he could wipe out with one hit. Then, when I got to dark fea. Relic keeper could wipe out the clones, so my team could work on dark fea. Cold hearts are good to use with a team like this. I did have a revive champ in the mix (that did take a second shot after relic keeper) just in case I lost a champ. You might have to do the first round against Fae in manuel to make sure that relic keeper is hitting all the one shot champs first.
Seems like it worked much better in the PVE team. Arena just has too many counters and risks to using it, plus you have to give up other, more useful sets to put it in. Still, might try it for PvE, make Pyxniel actually useful for once
Faction Wars is the only place I see this worth saving a set for! Stun is so much better in other areas like the city or secret rooms! I already have some of the best guaranteed freeze champs. Not much of a need to invest silver into gear that champs can already do! Given the rare niche areas!
The main problem is having to have 1 turn stoneskin these days and for that you need to SS jewels which, as always, is pay2win. Never thought I'd see an arena video with a non-boring go 1st team instead, but it shows perfectly how unplayable arena even in g5 is for non/low spenders.
... good thing nobody builds wukong with destroy set, him erasing hp on a full nuke speedy set and reviving himself constantly, has been an arena cheat tactic for a while. A few udks and mega tanks getting emergency heal blessing thing so they can restore themselves destroyed hp, but not that many.
Ash take UDK with stone skin and frostbite and put him with the freeze queen herself Pyxniel. She can mitigate the freeze damage to full damage and they heal, shield and increase defense whilst putting out insane crowd control. Theyre incredibly good together. Yakarl and Kymar make an ridiculously busted team

Nah, it was just part of the collab with Colred. Ash seems to be farming ideas others have in collabs and then making new videos with it. I like Ash, but this trend seems kind of lazy. For another example - see "Nuke UDK" in retaliation and stoneskin from the KruYseN collab.

Speed 1st and foremost... get ur team fast and add a tm booster.... then A CC then damage. Another CC after that then ( preferably something that decreases tm aoe) and continue taking dark faes turn meter. If u can don't let her get a go.
I go manual on the second round using only A-1s near the end of the round then start on auto against dark Fae with a go first arena type set up...try it like that

Umbral in a frost set hard carried me through waves early-mid game. She can lockdown so long with block buffs then taunt.

They do stack.
I think the two separate sets don't combine %s, so the master applies to each set individually but frostbite stacking itself seems the better bet

That's a bit difficult, hydra requires you to manage ALL mechanics or the teams going to suck no matter how end game you are.

A good counter is literally any good build, because frost and frostbite are trash sets... His video proved it by landing zero freezes

Typically, you can get better builds with a 4-2 combo. If you have really good frostbite, not as much of a consideration

If you have a aoe stun champion just make them go first to CC your cloned team then nuke the hell out of them.

Commanding presence and intimidating presence (legendary version) are both multiplicative with the aura, not additive
