In my Quebecois Literature class, we recently listened to the song and watched the music video for Arnaq. We listened to it because we recently finished a book set in the Inuit community of Salluit, and the music video was shot there. I am so glad to be taking this class because we're mainly focusing on many First Nation authors and poets of Quebec, the authors' representation of the land, and how it shapes their characters' identities.
This class has inspired me. I want to work to educate myself to become a better ally for Native voices in Canada and here in the United States.
If anybody has any book recommendations from indigenous authors, please list them below!

Très très bien filmé, le travail des bons musiciens est mis en valeur, Elisapie est presque aussi belle qu'en vrai et on sent dans sa belle voix qu'elle est heureuse sur ce plateau, bravo à l'équipe de camérapeople de CBC Music

I saw Elisapie play at the Chan Centre in Vancouver last March, and Joe Grass was playing what appeared to be a hollowbody (or semi-hollowbody) guitar, but not an acoustic like he was playing here. He got outerworldly sounds out of that instrument. From my viewpoint, it looked like it may have been a Guild Aristocrat or a Starfire, but our concert seats weren't close enough to tell for sure. I would sure like to know exactly what that guitar was....because I want one, after hearing the man play.

Hi, this guitar is hollow body, not an acoustic, as it seems. You can see the magnetic pick up. Anyway, the sound here comes mostly from the pedalboard, with tremolo, univibe, delay, fuzz (etc) effects ...

It's all in the nose, throat and gut. Most English- speaking people have difficulty in speaking French as they do in France. They have problems with the nasal and gutteral sounds; nose and throat. Inuktitut is no different. We are all the same, just not the same in everything

Look up ignorance, you are allowed not to like Elisapie, but her experience is not yours. Arctic people understand, and respect Elisapie because she is us. Elisapie felt our joy, our pain, and our love for our food that came from the land. For us, it is healing and acknowledging our experiences. We hear the land, the animals, and the cries. Cries no one hears or acknowledges. Inuit are the only indigenous people who know English, French, and Inuktitut ( being fluent in Inuktitut). Inuit pay taxes like the rest of Canada, and pay the most for food, and water is a privilege. Mind your manners, and feel the experience of your unknown. It is ok not to understand, we all cannot know everything.
