There's a new name of the military reservation because of the change. It's called Fort Liberty. I'm still living near Fort Gordon, Ga. The reservation will become Fort Eisenhower this fall.
The 82Nd Airborne Division Brass Quinitet playing the alternate version (Non-DOD version) of the anthem was great. I performed numerous ceremonies on this very Post Flagpole and recognize General Dan K. McNeil under the tent.

Anything 'Liberty' & soldiers will always remind me of a failure in Afghanistan where US soldiers ran away from a fight with a group of...
