Yes, there is a 70th Anniversary event and Museum of World Athletics pop up museum on display at Iffley Road, Oxford over this weekend. I attended the 50th Anniversary event in 2004 which was attended by Bannister, Landy and Ibbotson. Sadly all three are no longer with us.
To the 10 athletes who have lowered the record since Roger Bannister, we must add 3 more: Steve Cram, Noureddine Morceli and Hicham El Guerrouj. El Guerrouj has now held the world record for just under 25 years. This is a record in itself.

I dont think Herb Elliot was actually undefeated. Maybe in the mile but Peter Snell beat him in a race I understand.
