- G-Eazy gets candid about his song-writing process, revealing what it’s like to write about exes and how it feels when people assume songs are about Halsey. He also reveals to ET’s Katie Krause where he draws the line when it comes to darker themes in his songs, including drug use and toxic relationships, which he raps about in his new single featuring Black Bear called ‘Hate the Way,’ out now. G-Eazy also opens up about working with girlfriend Ashley Benson and says they have written new songs together. Blackbear talks about becoming a dad for the first time and how son Midnight has changed him.

I get that, I think the interviewer was really into G, and conducted the interview almost as a fan of his would. Black Bear is a force and even though G is amazing 🤤, I wanted to hear more from him about his contributions and artistic liberties.
I felt bad after about 5 minutes in and realizing how skinny Bear is. It looks like he maybe struggling w substance abuse himself of some sort

I absolutely appreciated how they speak about mental health so openly and normalize the conversation about reaching out to a counsellor -- especially as men. What a humanizing way of speaking
Everybody trying to find out if he talks about Halsey. No one talking about how he talks about mental health and substances abuse
They talk alot about that in this interview, although many considered it as disrespectful in the manner they presented him.

Bear was not intentionally being ignored. Just see the way how the interviewer girl is just trying to find a way to get chemistry with G-easy. Look at the way she places her hand under her chin, cheek, then her hand goes to her neck. It’s just a G easy crush.

You really notice that g-easy doesn't notice or care if blackbear has a chance to talk..it's not a big deal but i do value people he's worked with that just pass the ball without being asked, it's like reaching down to help someone even if it's just bc they're shy. This is so far my favorite interview with G-eazy. He seems the most real in this interview.
he's so smart. he shares a lot of feelings and thoughts in his music and he makes it so clear what it is about, that limits him talking and explaining what it's for and about because it's more than enought in the song already, this provides from controvercy on a very delicate topic. i'll give it to him although i love his ex very much, i'm in her fandom because he is the bigger person in this situation and he proved with every ocasion, he moved on, he's healed from the heartbreak (but still loves her, it's obvious). she is kinda stuck in the heartbreak, haven't moved on, she's still angry and she showed it multiple times, she has unfinished business. two quotes from had enought 'i don't hate u now but got the right to' 'u can hate me now, u got the right' this finished up everything i said perfectly

@@temusralph2394 they were together for years beginning with in college before Geazy even got any traction on SoundCloud or from his mixtapes. She basically is the only girl who’s loved him before he was famous, and she dated him through his found success, through the these things happen years. He’s wrote multiple songs about her since and they shared a musical bond as she’s been on a ton of his songs since he started making music.
