  • Rather than having lots of different copies of worksheets to look at different options on your spreadsheet you can use scenarios to keep them all together and create a useful summary. This is useful, for example, when you have a budget and there are a number of different variables. A lot of people make copies of the worksheets to make comparisons.
Although this tutorial uses Excel 2003, it works the same on 2007 and 2010 the only difference is that you have to start it buy going to the Data tab on the Ribbon and clicking on the What-If Analysis button and choosing Scenario Manager...
This video, like many on my channel, has been created using Camtasia techsmith.z6rj...

+Chilicious 7 that's great. I need to do an update but here is more on naming cells and ranges to use them in formulas other than scenario manager and to find cells. I did this back when Excel 2003 was available but still works the same for the most part ruclips.net/video/-07b7LfHSaQ/видео.html

It keeps the scenarios you have created so you can come back to them. It saves it where you left off.

is there a reason why my result cells don't change in the summary? i made sure that my result cells contains a formula with all the variable cells but the resulting cells remains the same throughout all the scenarios
