In our chemistry classroom, someone wrote on the desk where I sit at: "Do you listen to girl in red?" and so many people wrote yes beneath it, I just find that so cute :)
@@laurenelloisehii lauren!!! ive been watching ur vids for a while and i need advice.(u dont have to reply btw) sooo i (15 F) have a bit of a crush on my (also 15 F) best friend. she’s legit the prettiest girl ever and matches my sense of humor perfectly, and we’ve known each other for a few years now. she’s been questioning her sexuality recently (btw im omni, found out last year and out to mostly everyone like my parents and friends, im glad to say they’re very supportive) and i’ve been helping her through that, but she knows she likes girls. every time i see her, all the stuff im worried about just.. vanishes. saying i have a “bit of a crush” on her was a litotes. i love her. like, i know im young, but i legit love her. when she’s around my face goes red. that kind of crushing. im thinking of telling her but im not sure yet, so i’ve been dropping hints as of late, and i think she’s starting to get it. Alana, if you’re reading this, i love you so much it hurts.
As a demisexual lesbian, I always found it really strange how some people could just look at someone and say that they like them without getting to know them first. I have had two crushes in my life and they were both quite intense crushes. I also had known them as a friend for a few months before I started to catch feelings. I can acknowledge when someone is attractive but that doesn't automatically mean that I like them.
I literally have 5 crushes on different guys RN its like I'm making my own Herman lol I actually confessed to one of them though last month it happen in the library I told him I liked him and he SAID HE LIKED ME TOO!! I was literally shocked I never expected him to like me back I always thought if I confessed to either one of my many crushes they would have rejected me and honestly he's like my soulmate, there's things he likes that I also like and even though we're dating now I still have crushes on the other guys plus I told him I was bi and he doesn't mind he's so supportive😊
I am exactly the same, I am demiromantic, lesbian, and asexual. I've only ever had a crush/been in a relationship with 1 girl, and we knew each other for years before we started to catch feelings.
i think the hating men one comes more from the realization that we no longer need to care about them. If we were attracted to men, we'd let some of it brush by the wayside, we'd let it hit a little softer, and we'd excuse it (perhaps subconsciously). But we don't have to care about them anymore, so we have no reason to do any of that. There's no reason to just let it go. We notice the bad actions more and we are more unabashedly vocal when we see them.
this is true! Since realising I was lesbian, I've cared for men less and less. I wouldn't say I hate them, but I have no reason to care for them, especially when I catch them doing something weird or gross. Like when I see guys talking to girls at bars/clubs, I know it's none of my business but I always look over once every so often to make sure the guys not doing something weird to make the girl uncomfortable and if he is, I'd more than likely go over there. Whether it's my place to or not, I wouldn't let some guy make someone else uncomfortable. I've been in situations like that and have wished someone would help me out. I'm always vocal about bad actions.
About "the urge to merge", I feel like people who have been in a relationship for a while start to look alike. Even in straight couples I was told my partner and I look like siblings 😭
Taurus here lol. I personally think that many lesbians just tend to dislike men a little more because they don't have the blinders up from being attracted to them. They see them for who they are instead of being more forgiving because they're attracted to them.
So true, also they have a lot of experience regarding some sexist remarks or horrendous phrases from men like "I'll fix you" or "Can I be the third one with you two, girls" etc Lesbians hear those all the time unfortunately as well as many other frightening things. And straight girl would never hear that from her boyfriend or male friend. So if some lesbians have a bit of fear and dislike towards men I think this is the reason.
100%. And straight women still want to be wanted by men, so they deal with their dumb bullshit or are straight up socialized to think "well boys are better and so are their opinions and they are smart and wow look how tall and muscular! He may be a sexist but he can buy u a new bag!" As a bi woman, i can take or leave men, and most of them are not worth taking, and I simply do not deal with their shit. I do not need them, I find plenty of joy in being single or with a woman. I talk crazy to them, no fucks to give. And i'm cute so it's hilarious watching them fumble trying to impress me with their lack of emotional intelligence and masculine lack of self awareness while I talk down to them lol
I totally agree with the part where you said that gay women are usually more aware when men are being sexist or bigoted. It definitely has a lot to do with the fact that we deal with homophobia. But from my experience, lesbophobia is never just regular homophobia, especially from men. It’s usually misogyny combined with homophobia. So when combined, the misogynistic and homophobic comments from men, combined with the fact that most of us have little to no attraction to men, it makes sense how it could come off as us hating men.
I am so different from a lot of queer girls because I like taking things slow, and I grew up very feminine despite being bi. About the teacher one, haven't really had a crush on an english or drama teacher, but in 11th grade I had a big crush on my chemistry teacher, because she was very pretty. Anyways another great video Lauren : )
Every gay has their quirky differences but we all hv some things in common like lots of us watch girl in red and its so fun to get to know the cute things that we hv in common ❤
This certainly is an interesting 12Gays series. I never have seen an episode of The L Word because it's unavailable in my country but I've always wanted to😕 Also wearing over-sized clothes has become a stereotype for us Bi people too so the judgmental mentality is real. And as for me, I had a crush on both my English and Science teachers in High School. Loads of Love 🌈❤️

How about not willing to date a bi girl? Bi phobia within the lesbian community. Ive literally been looking for a gf for two years and have been shot down so much by gay women.
yeah i've heard of this stereotype before, but i've never experienced it myself. i was in a long term relationship with a bi, girl, and also have dated bi girls. it makes me really sad to hear that you have experienced that. the right kind of woman would never judge you for ur sexuality 🖤🖤🖤
Some if these questions i couldn’t answer because i myself am Aromantic and the only lesbian I know but I can say that i have 8 flannels/button ups/plaid shirts. I personally would categories myself as Femme despite my collection of flannels and i am 100% a cat person. I also love the idea of owner birds but thats not a lesbian thing. I fully believe that you can be both a top and bottom and being a top doesn’t necessarily mean your a dom and being a bottom doesn’t mean you are a sub. I personally am a bottom and a sub but that doesn’t apply to everyone and I’m very passionate about that. I love Girl In Red and I don’t sit in chairs properly. The closest I get is legs crossed and i can only do that for so long. But ill sit with my legs fully spread, one leg on the armrest, criss-crossed, on my knees, sitting on one if my legs, my legs laying on each other beside me. I am also a Taurus and i can only roughly name the general month half the signs belong to.
As you said these are stereotypes which might be true for some, but definitely not for all. The only stereotypes I've experienced with wlw relationships I know is that they're interested in astrology and moved fas in relationships. I've watched all the episodes of the classical L-Word and the first season of Generation Q. I know some who never watched it at all. I would say, however, that most lesbians who are currently in their 40's or 50's did watch it.
🌠 Also, I've always been a tomboy but I also love every chance I get to wear a dress (I'm a weirdo) but when you showed those hot wheels cars for a second, that very front silver car, I totally had. I also named all of my hotwheels, and that particular one was called "Silvery" lol
1. I don’t know much about astrology but I love it. It’s my favorite part of science 2. Kinda, I move in relationships extremely quickly but I never get over past relationships unless I’m in one 3. SO TRUE!!!!! 4. YES!!!! 5. Not at all, most girls get along with girls better as friends but only date guys and I’m the opposite. I get along with guys better as friends but only date girls 6. I’ve never slept with anyone but from what I’ve heard, yeah 7. I was actually pretty girly as a kid but I grew up to be pretty androgynous now. I mean, toys didn’t have gender to me at all. A kid at my Christian pre school got mad at me for playing with cars because they were “boy toys” but I played with every toy 8. FALSE, I think I’m a switcher 9. I don’t think we’d be the exact same person but I feel like she’ll introduce me to some things and I’ll get interested in them and I’ll introduce things to her and she’ll get interested in them but it won’t always be the exact same interests 10. I love both cats and dogs. I’m allergic to cats though 11. Yep, I have extremely short nails. Mainly because I’m a nail biter though 12. YEP!!! Number 2 artist on Spotify wrapped 2022 13. Probably false, I feel like this happens to all couples once they get older 14. I wanna watch it but I’ve never seen any of it but I don’t have whatever it is on 15. I mean, I want to cut my hair short but my mom won’t let me 16. I mean, it kinda is but shouldn’t be 17. No, i do roll my jeans up and occasionally wear flannels but I have sensory issues with clothes and I prefer to just wear a t shirt and shorts 18. Maybe… 19. No, I realized extremely young (I was 8, I had a crush on my best friend ) 20. Nope, I’m pretty androgynous
In my life its: 1. Im lesbian and im not interested in it 2. Yes its fast also in my life 3. Yes tottaly 4. Yes=( 5. No i have lot of male friends I dont hate them 6. Im asexualXD so undecided 7. Yea people always mistaken me with personality and look for boy 8. Not really. Some people may have it like that but most of people are switching 9. It can happen in few things but not all 10. Not all. They may but not necessarily 11. Yes. I have short nails all lesbians i know have short nails so.. 12. Most of us yes 13. I cant tell as asexual 14. I never heard about it. Most of people dont have them 15. I have short hair but i date lesbian with long hair 16. No. Its more like community socializing 17. Yes. I love them my gf loves them WE LOVE THEM! 18. I never had i dont know anyone with crush on teacher 19. No. All males i know are fine like everyone there is no gender difference 20. Most of yes but not all
2:24 I turned my straight girl crush bi and now we’re dating so I did pretty well 😂😂 10:55 the English teacher didn’t teach me English but she did teach my friends English does that count?
I think when a lesbian kisses a straight girl they find out that girls are better kissers than men so they finally realise they're better off with the same sex. As a trans Male I'm aware that I still have a vagina but I identify as a male. But more femme and more understanding towards girls. Because ive been there.
I'm a lesbian but I love watching gay movies, for example I am completely obsessed with the young royals, and all my favourite celebrities are gay men. What's wrong with me 😦
Bed death as people call it is true for everyone. It's not a gay or straight thing. People who are in relationships for long enough just get tired of the same things over and over. That's why you find open relationships more common now, a lot more poly is seen, etc.
I can not sit at all oof- it's either i'm siting with my back down and legs on different ways or not siting at all XD I don't even know "the l word "? owo
I personally am lesbian but am not into astrology. I mean it’s cool that people like it, but I just don’t think it’s accurate at all. :’) I mean, I’m the literal opposite of my sign. I’m an Aries, a fire sign, and I’m supposed to be “courageous, extroverted, strong-headed, confident, fierce, pushy.” Meanwhile I’m a lover of nature and earth, and I am extremely introverted and socially anxious. I hate my sign being aries
1.undecided 2.True 3. True 4. True, with my bestie 5. False I have male friends but I do find more mean boys 6.Undecided 7.Undecided 8.False 9.Undecided 10. False 11. False (not same) 13. Undecided 14. False 15. False 16.Undecided 17. False 18. False 19. False 20. False
Nah not all lesbian “hate” men some do with a passion yes but for me I just don’t wanna do nothing sexually with them or romantically 🤷🏽♀️ I’m just not attracted to them I used to be but somehow all my attraction has fallen and I just love women I don’t even see myself married to a man 🤣🤷🏽♀️
I took 3 months to understand that I loved a girl, and then it took us 6 months to say each other, and it makes 2 months since this day and I hadn't kiss her yet, so we might be an exception...
I really dislike the whole Top/Bottom and Femme /Masc categories. Yes someone can like certain things and feel more feminine or masculine but the idea that you HAVE to fit the categories or being shunned from a certain group cuz they feel like you don't belong is what I really don't like. They feel like heterosexual roles put onto gay relationships and reinforce gender stereotypes.
♐Love astrology, move quickly in relationships, but can sit properly, has fallen for a straight girl, wasn't really tomboy, do love cats, have long nails, do listen to Girl In Red, have long hair, I don't wear those outfits described though, did have a bad experience with a guy, I'm 100% femme, and of course I'm lesbian 😁
The nail thing I think with bi girls is a mystery because like any other hetro girl they like to get long acrylic nails look at melanie Martinez for example you would never know she was bi because of her long acrylic nails and very girl style. But like to think most bi girls have their fingernails cut to a medium.
About the crushing on English/Drama Teachers; I’ve only crushed on one of my French teachers before. I love this video. I had no idea there were more stereotypes than just flannel and girl in red, though I am guilty of both.
heya lauren Elloise ,hope its going good with you, im a new sub to your channel and had gone back on your channel and whatched alot of your vids and realy think your a great insperation ,love from Micayla Smit from South-Africa

It’s the Virgo in us, we don’t care too much about astrology except for when you meet someone you really like
Ayyyy legit so true tho 👀
🌠 Also, I've always been a tomboy but I also love every chance I get to wear a dress (I'm a weirdo) but when you showed those hot wheels cars for a second, that very front silver car, I totally had. I also named all of my hotwheels, and that particular one was called "Silvery" lol
omg I am lesbian and I can relate to this soo much, also i'm newly out so ur channel makes be feel a heel of a lot better
Me: I can’t help it but um I happen to love all females only , but my love for them is way too strong that I can’t really control.
1. I don’t know much about astrology but I love it. It’s my favorite part of science
2. Kinda, I move in relationships extremely quickly but I never get over past relationships unless I’m in one
3. SO TRUE!!!!!
4. YES!!!!
5. Not at all, most girls get along with girls better as friends but only date guys and I’m the opposite. I get along with guys better as friends but only date girls
6. I’ve never slept with anyone but from what I’ve heard, yeah
7. I was actually pretty girly as a kid but I grew up to be pretty androgynous now. I mean, toys didn’t have gender to me at all. A kid at my Christian pre school got mad at me for playing with cars because they were “boy toys” but I played with every toy
8. FALSE, I think I’m a switcher
9. I don’t think we’d be the exact same person but I feel like she’ll introduce me to some things and I’ll get interested in them and I’ll introduce things to her and she’ll get interested in them but it won’t always be the exact same interests
10. I love both cats and dogs. I’m allergic to cats though
11. Yep, I have extremely short nails. Mainly because I’m a nail biter though
12. YEP!!! Number 2 artist on Spotify wrapped 2022
13. Probably false, I feel like this happens to all couples once they get older
14. I wanna watch it but I’ve never seen any of it but I don’t have whatever it is on
15. I mean, I want to cut my hair short but my mom won’t let me
16. I mean, it kinda is but shouldn’t be
17. No, i do roll my jeans up and occasionally wear flannels but I have sensory issues with clothes and I prefer to just wear a t shirt and shorts
18. Maybe…
19. No, I realized extremely young (I was 8, I had a crush on my best friend )
20. Nope, I’m pretty androgynous
In my life its:
1. Im lesbian and im not interested in it
2. Yes its fast also in my life
3. Yes tottaly
4. Yes=(
5. No i have lot of male friends I dont hate them
6. Im asexualXD so undecided
7. Yea people always mistaken me with personality and look for boy
8. Not really. Some people may have it like that but most of people are switching
9. It can happen in few things but not all
10. Not all. They may but not necessarily
11. Yes. I have short nails all lesbians i know have short nails so..
12. Most of us yes
13. I cant tell as asexual
14. I never heard about it. Most of people dont have them
15. I have short hair but i date lesbian with long hair
16. No. Its more like community socializing
17. Yes. I love them my gf loves them WE LOVE THEM!
18. I never had i dont know anyone with crush on teacher
19. No. All males i know are fine like everyone there is no gender difference
20. Most of yes but not all
I watch all your videos but I often forget to comment lol. Anyway, been here for over three years now I think. Keep up the good work Lauren.
I remember ur icon/username! 💖 thanks for sticking around for so long! Appreciate you !!
@@laurenelloise Also, I'm from Eastern Europe. You were kinda my introduction to Australian life (you and Eurovision lol).
So many terms in this I get so lost
CHAPSTICK?
2:24 I turned my straight girl crush bi and now we’re dating so I did pretty well 😂😂
10:55 the English teacher didn’t teach me English but she did teach my friends English does that count?
@thatclonetrooperinthebacko3254 why thank you👸
I think when a lesbian kisses a straight girl they find out that girls are better kissers than men so they finally realise they're better off with the same sex. As a trans Male I'm aware that I still have a vagina but I identify as a male. But more femme and more understanding towards girls. Because ive been there.
No sexually but I get it.
Girl in Red must be a generational thing
oh yeah totally! i think it only started a few years ago (maybe 3?) at the earliest
Same!!! I fell for a straight girl and found out years later she's bi.
As a bi girl I say almost all of these are probably true 😂🌈
I'm a lesbian but I love watching gay movies, for example I am completely obsessed with the young royals, and all my favourite celebrities are gay men.
What's wrong with me 😦
Hi Lauren im happy your a Virgo too because I’m a Virgo as well and Virgos are the best 😁🥰
No wayyyyyy best sign 🖤🖤🖤
As a non-binary person in a relationship with a bi man, the urge to merge is real, and least on my end, not sure about my bf
my lesbian friend never sits normal on chairs, i never acknowledged it till now XD
Phenomenal job with your series so far, great content, keep it up, you're an amazing lesbian, much love and support for you my friend ❤️🙏📹
thanks so much for your support! and congrats on being so early!! rlly glad ur enjoying the series so far!
@@laurenelloise You're very welcome, appreciate you sharing the great Ltgbq content 🤗🌈
Love the eye makeup 🤗
Thank you!! I tried to make it like the lesbian flag!
Two times i asked a girl out and they said they were straight
Bed death as people call it is true for everyone. It's not a gay or straight thing. People who are in relationships for long enough just get tired of the same things over and over. That's why you find open relationships more common now, a lot more poly is seen, etc.
My sign is sagittarius ♐️
I can not sit at all oof- it's either i'm siting with my back down and legs on different ways or not siting at all XD
I don't even know "the l word "? owo
actually I had a crush on my aerial teacher/science teacher, but she wanted to be an english teacher
... that is so interesting omgggg!! 👀
I was a complete tomboy until 6th grade when I came out as enby
I have a cat and 2 dogs😂 my cat is the only man who has never disappointed me lol
One of my highlights of these Christmases
Aww 🥰 yayyyyyy

Nah not all lesbian “hate” men some do with a passion yes but for me I just don’t wanna do nothing sexually with them or romantically 🤷🏽♀️ I’m just not attracted to them I used to be but somehow all my attraction has fallen and I just love women I don’t even see myself married to a man 🤣🤷🏽♀️
I have not fallen for a straight girl. Didn't even have a crush on a straight girl.
I took 3 months to understand that I loved a girl, and then it took us 6 months to say each other, and it makes 2 months since this day and I hadn't kiss her yet, so we might be an exception...
Hi Lauren I just wanna say your videos are very helpful!! Btw I've never been this early to watch a video before (8 minutes after it was posted)!!
Ahhhh congrats on being so early!! And yay I’m so glad they’re helpful ! 🖤
It is on Netflix and they brought back new episodes called the L Word Generation Q season 3 just started
i think i’m more towards ’butch’ than femme 😅😅 (even tho i’m Bi)
I don't know if you'll see this now but heyy!
Tbh, some stereotypes are really true but to all the gays out there, you don't have to fit all of them!!
I see it!!! yeah, some fit me perfectly, and others don’t. And that’s okay! It isn’t a checklist where you HAVE cross off everything to be gay
@@laurenelloise Yes definetly!
yayyyyy she posted!!!!
yewwwww and ur early yaaassss
I love this series sm
ahhhhh tysm!!! ty for watching!!!
The nail thing I think with bi girls is a mystery because like any other hetro girl they like to get long acrylic nails look at melanie Martinez for example you would never know she was bi because of her long acrylic nails and very girl style. But like to think most bi girls have their fingernails cut to a medium.
im an aquarius and my sign fits me perfectly
oooof nice, my gf is also Aquarius
I always hated stereotypes but some of them are true
yeah, I feel you!! Some of them just match me so well, but also there’s some I just want to break
Virgos here 😜

niceeee, we would def get along well!!
I'm a libra and my friend was like "you are definitely a libra ha ha your name might as well be libra"
You missed one statement: all lesbians wear silver jewlery and/or a ring in veery finger but the weddingfinger.
true , I agree
CRUSH ON ENGLISH TEACHER CHECKS OUT. I KNEW IT WASN'T ONLY ME
About the crushing on English/Drama Teachers; I’ve only crushed on one of my French teachers before.
I love this video. I had no idea there were more stereotypes than just flannel and girl in red, though I am guilty of both.
I have a cat dog and Guinea pigs :)
OMG GIRL IN RED YESSSS
Not me never hearing of the l word 🤦♀️ I’m glad this is false
I’m a Scorpio but my mum and me both think I would be a better libra haha ❤
Alot of these sterotypes are also in neurodivergency eg adhd, maybe theres a statistic of overlap too?
I never sit properly on chairs
I am a Pansexual individual, and I have a girlfriend, I can say that. . No,, my nails are long, like very long
My nails are also super long...

Oh my gosh HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🥳 🖤
i dont think any lgbtq person can sit correctly lol. i'm aroace and i sure as hell cant!
I haven’t even seen a single episode of the L word until it came free on Amazon prime video recently. And now I have I have to say I don’t love it. Does that make me a bad lesbian? 😉
Aww ahaha well, considering I’ve never seen it, I don’t know 👀 nah it’s okay to dislike things! You get 100 points for actually watching jt
