    • @ViolentMLG
      @ViolentMLG 4 года назад +11

      My only concern would be lack of maint. Engine wasn't taken care of, or the owner didn't pay attention to the known issues, making me wonder what else could be wrong.
      It is a cheap luxury car after-all. One with issues at that. Meaning they could've left allot broken or not known. I would expect more issues personally.
      Even regular things from lack of maint rack up, brakes, calipers, tires, electronics, lines, etc.
      Interior looks like it wasn't taken care of the best either.
      Also still 180K miles on the tranny and who knows if it even functions properly.
      Usually these in a similar model year go for roughly 5K-6K in clean condition w/ 100K miles.
      Considering its condition and possible issues, id say that 3K all in is pretty fair, if not a decent deal.
      Could probably have the seats fixed for a couple hundred and maybe make a small profit on it or break even.
      Overall not a bad deal. Allot of guessing for a small profit (or to save a small amount of money).
      Doesn't make sense for a regular person, but for Hoovie its fantastic.

    Inside the key is an immobilizer chip. The battery in the remote powers the immobilizer chip, unlike some other cars which are passively powered. If the keyfob battery totally dies, the Cayenne will not start!! It may crank though.. and your key is trashed! Did you not look at the multi-function display? If the key is broken like that I don't believe that the car will ever start until you repair it or replace it. Maybe it's getting the reading it needs just by being near that area... but I doubt it. The engine sounded fine at first so I am confused about why it locked up... Word of advice though, Tyler, don't tell someone who you are going to be paying for services your budget up front, lest they try to find reasons to meet that budget...

      Yes you're right but on the other hand why should they build to last like a Mercedes w124 so someone can drive it the next 20 years somewhere in Africa without breaking, while the customers that count, the people that are willing to pay for a brand new car from the dealer have already bought 5 or 6 new ones in that time. They're kind of giving the market what it demands. People want the newest shit nowadays. It's kind of with the market for food. Everyone cries for organic sustainable food but when there's a $2/pound meat and the same for $12/pound most people buy the cheapest one... so that's what they're producing cheap shitty meat...
