In my ideal world, there would be systems that actually work to support the children in orphanages, foster care, etc. I am adopted myself and I feel a strange version of something like survivors guilt as one of the lucky ones, which makes my heart ache for all the children who age out without support or prospects, are abused within the system, get lost in the system,etc. And, in my ideal world, there wouldn’t be sexual crimes, family planning is actually respected and successful, and these things would take the pressure off of the orphanage/foster systems.

I have always been pro-choice because I believe forcing someone who is not ready to have a child will only bring harm to that child. It is a serious decision that requires time and introspection. To treat abortions as a "party favor" is so tasteless. You cannot say reproductive rights is a health issue and then have abortion ice cream trucks.

Nobody is ever truly ready to have children. You may think you are in theory, however, reality is ALWAYS different. The usual method is you learn as you go. Some people spend their childhood helping take care of other children so it may come more naturally to them than others, either way you still learn as you go. The bottom line is- when you have children you either step it up, mature, and become the selfless parent your children need you to be or you don't. You can try to prepare and plan all you want, the bottom line is all children are different and life never goes the way you plan it. This line of thinking doesn't apply to children. Either way, abrtn is never the answer, it never was, and it never will be. (Rpe and ncst are the lowest percentages that occur (yes, even with children, NOT SAYING ANY OF IT IS RIGHT, THEY WEREN'T PROTECTED WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN, BUT unfortunately this is reality) and even the women who suffer from those are speaking out against it. Even more so these women are attacked by abrtn supporters when they choose to keep the baby rather than 💀 it when conceived through these instances. "Pro- choice" was never about "choice".)
On another note these procedures being performed outside of the DNC is rather concerning due to sterilization issues and high risk of infection considering one of these procedures is actually cutting into the human body.

re: the bathrooms at the DNC, there WERE actually women's bathrooms as well. However, they were in a separate location. Instead of the gender neutral bathroom being in a different spot (since it's the 3rd option), they made it to where women have to go search for the right bathroom lol
So, they actually took the real women's bathroom and made it "gender neutral," and just utilized the other bathrooms as the women's bathroom. Typically, the women's bathroom is right by the men's, so they clearly changed it

In my perfect world, there wouldn’t be a need for abortion. I am pro-choice only because we don’t live in an ideal world. In my ideal world, there would be systems that actually work to support the children in orphanages, foster care, etc. I am adopted myself and I feel a strange version of something like survivors guilt as one of the lucky ones, which makes my heart ache for all the children who age out without support or prospects, are abused within the system, get lost in the system,etc. And, in my ideal world, there wouldn’t be sexual crimes, family planning is actually respected and successful, and these things would take the pressure off of the orphanage/foster systems.

This may not be popular opinion but I think that voting in a local election should be a requirement for voting at the national level. So that we know that people who are voting at least have previous experience and/or know what they are voting for. It’s not a full fledged solution, but I think it’s a start.

Friends became suspicious of friends and friendships were broken. We were always taught not to talk about religion or politics. This was done on purpose to separate us and cause suspicion.
