Hi Todd. Neil from Fernie BC …. my chipping tip came from Dawn Coe Jones. She did everything you have in this video plus she said move the ball closer to your feet so when you chip the heel of the club is slightly off the ground. More of a toe hit which stops the heel from getting stuck. Love your videos. And….. I bought your book… The Bad Lie. Just getting started reading it but I like your writing style.
Allan Patrick 67 year old Canada - I've studied the transition and impact position videos, but what I need is SOMETHING for my tempo. I so often start weight shift way too early, pulling myself off the ball and ruining the shot. I've had shots where I drop the club into the slot, pause then swing through but I just don't have a way to set tempo and it leaves me with a pile of mishits.
Do you open the stance slightly or keep the stance square to the intended line.....I like your instructions as they are super easy to understand. Best wishes from Cannes South of France.
@@USGOLFTVshow Thank you....As I live in the South of France you can play all year round.....nice times for weather are May/June and Sept/Oct. Off this morning to play a course build by a Russian Duke in early 20th century it has a ferry crossing to get from one part of the course to another.,..hope the traffic is okay we have loads of Hollywood stars here at the moment in the Film Festival.
Need to try our trail hand only drill. I have this and a few others in my book The Bad Lie if you would like to learn more. Amazon link here www.badliegolfbook.com/
What about the follow thru? And where is the weight and center of the body be? I am assuming that should be 80-90% on the front foot… and follow thru the left?
Hmm, just watched a Phil Michelson video that talked about weight forward, hands forward & ball off either the front foot or back depending on wanted trajectory. Definitely said not to place ball in middle of stance. What the heck ?
Wish I could give you a hundred thumbs up. I’m sick and tired of all these RUclips wannabe pro,s talking shite how it’s done from a fluffy sat up lie……. Live in the real world and teach crap lies. Rant over

Neil, Dawn Coe Jones is a legend. Great story! Hope you find the book helpful and enjoyable...thank you for the vote of confidence to help your game.
Todd, very well done, as usual, right to the point, from Wisconsin.
No messing around here LOL. Thank you, simple is always best.

Trefor, good question. Yes, we like the stance to be slightly open to the target line. What is the best time of the year to play golf in France?

@@tref51 awesome! France is on the bucket list for sure!
Good advice. Weekend golfer. I always top my irons. I hate the irons
Jeff, have you read my book The Bad Lie? It would be a great resource for you. Here is the Amazon link if interested. www.badliegolfbook.com/
Love this.
Boom! Have an entire chapter on this topic in my book The Bad Lie if interested in learning www.badliegolfbook.com/
Todd, what about on a hard pan lie and needing to go over a greenside bunker? What club and technique? Thanks!!!
54 degree and open the face...very, very difficult shot!
@@USGOLFTVshow TELL ME ABOUT IT! 😔 Thanks!!!
With our Bermuda grass in SE Florida, I set up and stroke just like a lag putt.
Solid advice. Bermuda can be tricky
When do you stand closer to the ball with the toe down and heel up?
Good question, yes as you go more toe down you will move slightly closer to the ball.
Thx for the simple instruction. Now next challenge--- deceleration and/or overactive hands creating skulls or chunks. Help.

One of the best, Pete Cowan , I think, said to hit with toe of the club lower. I have some trouble with that. Don’t feel confident
Pete Cowan is an all time great coach...anytime we can be mentioned with him, we will take it!

Will, we like to start with 60-70% of our weight on our lead foot and as we move into impact the weight on the lead foot increases. Hope that helps.

Phil is an all time great and we are huge fans. Our only request is to give our ideas a try and see for yourself. Thanks for reaching out.
It is much easier to chip from fluffy lie. How about chipping from a tight lie?

OHIO...Do you look directly on the top of the ball or someplace else
Back of the ball is best for most of our students.
what CLUB are you using? Sorry if I missed it, but sometimes it drives me nuts in these videos that this info is left out!
58 degrees ⛳
