Lately I've been wearing sweatbands to keep my face oils off the leather pad that comes with the F2 even if I'm not playing anything intensive, and my comfort level has been raised even further! I can imagine wearing a sweatband with this K2 will be the ultimate workout duo.
I've been doing them on every video for a while now and I'm really happy to see they help. I thought about going back and doing them on others but... yeah... we're about to do our One Thousandth video so that would take a lot lol
I was JUST thinking the other day that by the time VR becomes widely implemented and used by everyone in the west, that they're definitely going to have some kind of active cooling for long term use. I was just playing with the idea of little air jets in the cushion seal and how that would work while being compact
You are right! Some people find it odd it took this long because things like MotoX goggles already had this for a long time. Fog is an enemy in a serious situation like that but it's super annoying in VR too
Yes, I really like how much venting the Kiwi one has. I've tried most of them and the vents are nice but this active airflow can make the difference in a hot or humid climate.

I thought about this but as you gave warning about it if you wear contacts and as I wear contacts, for now, I'm gonna have to pass on this for my Quest 2 sadly as it looks good and you said you got a very good feel from using this accessory
You might be ok if you wear contacts but your eyes always stay moist and healthy. I have acclimated to contacts over the past few years as I never needed glasses growing up and I find they do dry my eyes out after a long day. This fan isn't too bad if you're a 20 mins in VR and out kinda person but if you spend hours in it really gets dry. It would be so much better if it had a High or Low setting instead of a High constant or high intermittent as low would probably be fine :(
Just got this in the mail. Dont know if anyone else experienced this, but the nose part on the bottom doesnt feel great. It hurts. Trying to secure it more on my head and tightening it really puts deep pressure on my nose.
Oh no! I didn't but nose shape can change the experience. If you're using an elite style strap you might tighten the top strap to keep the weight off your face and tip the side arms on the quest down so the pressure goes more to your forehead. If that doesn't help you might be better off swapping for the BoboVR F2

Interesting and I thought/wished the BoboVR F2 worked by bring air in vs out... so I don't actually use it... but this seems like it would be too much air... AND... I like the BoboVR M2 Halo. Nice Vid!

been looking into different covers with fans and I think this will be the one I get. One thing I need to know is if a cover like this makes your eyes further away from the lenses? I bought this after watching your awesome review on it, and I really like this interface a lot, and just wished that it would last longer, wait a min. that's what she said hahaha. @@CryRedYT I think they mean in a single game session. Sadly this only comes with one pad so it's not like you can wash it quick and keep playing or swap it out when it gets gross.
No contacts, eyes don't have issues with air and a non Halo strap this one is nice and very cooling. If you have any of the above mentioned things I'd stick to the BoboVR F2 as it works better for all those.
If you have an elite strap or the stock strap this one will keep you cooler. If you have or want to get a halo strap then get the BoboVR because this kkcob doesn't fit right with halos 😊
@@Ballissle it's better for an elite I think because it adds more forehead space to disperse the facial pressure a bit. It also does more 'cooling' than the Bobo because it blows in instead of out. I do miss that the Bobo has a high and low setting where this one only has high, or intermittent high off and on (which is distracting). I wish it had a quieter low setting where it stayed on all the time instead of sounding like a PC fan that keeps ramping up and down.
@@jaybratt Oculus had to give away free silicone covers because the rashes the cloth pads were giving people. Don't even get me started on the "Leather" ones. Hard Plastic would be a better cushion then half of the stuff on the market.
my question with thies fans is "how much does it affect the mic? i play alot of active multiplayer games and i always worry about background noise, so getting a fan is nice but i worry about others hearing the noise. does anyone have any info about this?"

I don’t think I’m gonna buy this because i have the bobovr halo strap. i want to buy the bobovr f2 fan but its 52 euro in my country from amazon and idk if thats really worth it. do u think that its worth it? If not what other interface would u recommend? (I like foam padding. The once i can wash sweat off)
That is a lot but I use mine every time I play and if I forget to charge the fan I hate myself the whole time I'm playing. That air flow is really nice once you get used to it.

It keeps you cooler which should prevent some sweat but it definitely won't make you stop sweating. I use it during active games now that they swapped it to a pleather pad and it's still sweaty when I take it off but the whole experience feels cooler

Looks like a bobovr f2 kind of copy.... For me kkcobvr is a copy of bobovr, it has a similar ,name similar products, and similar launch date. Right after a bobovr product launches ,kkcobvr remakes it with the same idea stolen from bobovr, not better and cheaper for a bigger price. I had some products from them i also buy accesories to store them for design and they are way worse than bobovr. That's just my opinnion edit: evrey time bobovr makes a new product, boooooom kkcobvr comes and steals it, it's sad really. No offense to them or any of ya'll

We use sweatbands too! When you swap a headset out for Supernatural you don't want to use it right after someone who didn't use a sweat band lol

A lighter/ simpler option is a ventilated face plate. Makes a nice difference 👍🏼

It really kills the fog and after they swapped out the OG padding I hated from this video it's much improved!

It created some space but it wasn't wide enough to get the M2 pro band down inside there. It's the plastic strap clip that it mostly pushed on

Yeah the BoboVR is definitely quieter. It still makes some noise too but this kkcob is very noticeable
I both love and hate the sweat absorbent padding. The sweat doesn't get in my eye but it also feels disgusting after a while lol.

It fits but not great. It interacts with the front strap a bit too much in my opinion. Best with elite style straps

You could do surgery to remove the forehead part on the M2Pro.

Definitely! I guess it'll be in the pad instead of your eyes/headset so it may be a positive thing depending on how you feel about it
