Excellent video. Thank you for posting. I am going to build this for myself as I am a 67 year old woman with no one to help me. I also like your ideas for your other videos. I always say work smarter not harder. 👍🏻
Going on 53, recent widow, bought an old farm house, no one to help me either. I didn't want to rent and haul scaffold. Plus wanting 2nd floor deck anyway, but need scaffold for many reasons like ripping off vinyl plastic siding (can't believe it exists, yuck). I really want to rip roof off and do some tin or clear/skylight/green house roof. I don't know if anyone has done a roof like that. But I am a dreamer. House is 2k sq feet, but low ceilings (they say to heat easier) but wow. Thinking of gutting inside and turning it into half green house half home all in one. Harsh winters, but want natural grown foods all year round. Or I can fix up, sell it, and move to Mexico or somewhere and retire early and grow all year round...lol
@@rcor0net304 hi Mrs Coronet. I know what your going through. I'm now a 62 year young man, trying to get his roof fixed with very little help from family. This scaffolding will cost me the same price as renting. Since I love building my own tools and useful toys, I'll have it done by next weekend. My wife will probably call it a waste of time and money 😑. But I'll use it when I build my barn😁
I need to do some repair work on my side porch but my hedges are in the way, so I need to build a scaffold above them & you gave me some ideas 💡 on how to go about it. Great video & instructions. Quality time with your son, a plus! Keep pushing forward! God bless.

I had to build some and stand 11ft off the ground. I fought the idea for a while, but finally lag bolted the close set of posts to the brick. It turned out rock solid.
Thank you! Was planning to do something similar to expand a shed. Going from 10x10 to 10x20-22-24? with gambrel roof truss. Old shed has gable style with very little pitch. Will replace all the roof. Planned to use a wooden work bench that has casters, block up so no chance of sinking wheels, and attach "scaffolding" to framing to do roofing. Just realized, since doubt I can lift 4x8 sheets of OSB, why not cut it to 4x4 sheets? Was planning on at least 12 foot extension so would have been cutting some anyway.
