- Welcome back to the finest county of them all, ESSEX! I'm joined by Dawn and also Andrew and Kelly from The Gr8 Outdoors 2022 channel for a 7 mile circular walk from the Winter section of the Year Round Walks In Essex guidebook. This time we're in Walton-On-The-Naze near Harwich, exploring the Walton channel, backwaters and a windy and cold wild camp on the beach at Stone Point, a place I have wild camped at several times.

I filmed the whole thing on my new GoPro Hero 9 Black camera, having purchased a few new bits of kit to go with it such as a HUGE tripod, Joby Gorilla tripod, GoPro Media Mod with built in microphone and extra batteries! I am absolutely loving this new set up, it's making filming and even editing fun again, not to mention increasing the quality of videos I put out! If you would like to know what the set up is etc, I will consider making a short video detailing it.

Thank you kindly! I have been really busy with work the past month so now I've got loads of editing to catch up on. I will still talk on some videos but for the day walks from the guidebooks I'm planning on keeping them silent, I hate how much I talk! 🤣 Don't worry, there will still be a few talkies.
Oh come on Tom. You are wonderful when you talk. We want the low down on blisters, bunions, backache, the runs, how dull the walk is etc etc. of course the cider critique sweetening the aches. Basically what’s it like? You are that man at that time in that Essex.

Awesome mate, hope you have a great time there. If you like pie and mash check out Whites. There's a good biker cafe along with loads of chippies and cafes. Naze tower and visitor centre is worth a visit as well as the pier. I'd love to live in Walton.

Excellent video mate, looks super relaxing. Not a fan of winter camping (nights are too long!) but this is selling it to me if it's like this
You just need to find stuff to keep you occupied. Filming usually takes up most of the evening, me and Dawn also watch stuff on RUclips and Netflix or livestreams of strongman competitions, or we just chat!😂 thanks for watching mate. It'd be great to do a meet up one day.

It is mate. The porch is a bit flappy and drafty cos it quite a high ground clearance but inside it's cosy. Waited out many a storm in it. Love it.
