  • Welcome back to the finest county of them all, ESSEX! I'm joined by Dawn for a 5.5 mile circular walk from the Winter section of the Year Round Walks In Essex guidebook. The walk starts and finishes at the Fisher's Green visitor car park and heads to Clayton Hill and Lower Nazeing before passing over the Kings Weir and returning along the River Lee Navigation.
I filmed the whole thing on my new GoPro Hero 9 Black camera, having purchased a few new bits of kit to go with it such as a HUGE tripod, Joby Gorilla tripod, GoPro Media Mod with built in microphone and extra batteries! I am absolutely loving this new set up, it's making filming and even editing fun again, not to mention increasing the quality of videos I put out! If you would like to know what the set up is etc, I will consider making a short video detailing it.
Hope you enjoy joining us on this cracking little adventure, thanks for watching and supporting the channel. If you haven't subscribed already, it'd be awesome if you could, it helps get the channel promoted more on here and gets me closer to that elusive 10000 subs milestone! A like of the video and a nice comment wouldn't go amiss either! Enough of that. Cheers!

Hello Tom , I remember as a kid going to a big camping shop on Canvey island , I wondered if you could do a walk around video of the shop . I remember it being massive and full of stuff , but maybe because I was small back then (30 odd years ago) . Just a thought for a rainy day , you might even get a bargain . Cheers .

I'll have a look into it to see if it's still there but probably won't film it. It's not something I do on here plus shop owners get a bit funny when you're filming inside their premises, which is understandable. Thanks for the heads up though.

Nice one! I used to go ice skating up at Lee Valley Park back in the mid 80s - pre your existence!!! Next time I see you, remind me to tell you the story of the girl that I met ice skating there, who had a 'superfluous hair' problem 😁 ATB matey!

As a recovering seasoned gambler Tom, these uploads are therapy to me fella, they inspire me to try and get my head together fix my issue once and for all and get back out into the great outdoors again.
Sadly something I've just not been able to do so far this year.
I totally underestimated the sheer power of this addiction.
Thanks again for sharing another journey.

I'm glad to hear that you're recovering mate, keep going, you can beat this. Appreciate the kind words too and I'm glad that my videos are in some way a form of therapy. Whenever you ever feel up to it, you're welcome to join me on a walk and perhaps a camp too.

My part of the world Tom, been using the park all my life, a great place to go nice to see you film it,, but sadly, the people who run the lea Valley think it's ok to charge people to park to use the outdoors, it's totally wrong on all levels.
