How To Sync Google Contacts / Calendars With Huawei Device! 🔥

- A very welcome guide how to sync your Google contacts and calendar events with Huawei device which is not supporting Google services. Easy tutorial using app called DavX5 all your contacts will be real time synced with your google account.
How to:
Part 1. Account setup
1.1) Enabled two-factor authentication in Google settings. It must enabled for the next step.
1.2) Create app password for DavX5: go to page myaccount.google.com/apppassw...
and in the field "Select the application and device for which you want to create an application password" select "Contacts" in the next field "Other" (and enter a random name, for example "Huawei Contacts"). You will get password that needs to be copied somewhere (notes or a file, as convenient).
Part 2. Setting up synchronization on the phone
Set up DAVx5 as follows:
2.1) selected the item "Extended authorization (special use cases)"
2.2) in the column "Base URL" paste the following link:
www.google.com/calendar/dav/x...
Replace
" xxx@gmail.com " with your email address
2.3) Activate "Use username/password" checkbox and use your mail address as a name
2.4) For password put password we previously generate from the web in step 1.2 not the password for your account.
2.5) After you are ready enable "CALDAV" and "CARDDAV"
As a result contacts with photos and calendar events of the account are synced (main events + birthdays of contacts are definitely synced).
For everything to work correctly, you need to give all permissions to the application and add battery optimization should be off so that the service is not killed.

What if you need to transfer your calendar from a Huawei device without google services, to a Samsung? Do you have a video for that?

Hi, I am using a Huawei P50 Pro... Successfully installed and setup the sync over a year ago and everything has been working well until the app (DAVx5) failed authentication and I do not have the password anymore given the time frame. Is there a away to retrieve the password? I have subsequently tried to set it up again by following the video and now I am getting error "Couldn't find CalDAV or CardDAV services". Please help
Are you using paid version of davx5 or cracked?

@@chriscoetzer Hi. I would really love your help since you are a Mate X3 owner as well. I am trying to sync but i keep getting this HTTP server 500 error. Did you get anything like that? Also will the calendar sync even the calendars that you are subscribed in like sports matches, holidays etc..?
@@yousseffilali4635 Hi. Initially it worked flawlessly but now I'm also getting the server 500 error. I see there is an update for the Dav app but I haven't installed and tested yet. Will let you know if I find a fix.

Davx has new version. If I update it, do I need to do the process again or it will be fine?

It works fine previously, then i got HTTP 500 Error, i decide to re-add profile. Now my Contact > Setting > display setting "Davx5 doesnt show up"
Try with latest davx 5 version
It use to work perfectly in the past months, but lately it started to pop up sync server problem message for Google contact and I don't have a clue how to fix this random stops

I have did it for my Huawei Matepad Air but everytime i have to run the sync manually. The auto sync won't work even i have set for the most short interval of 5 minutes.
In the new DAVx-Version is at the beginning an option. Just click on Google contacts/calender at the beginning and log into your account and you have your contacts.

Did you open the Huawei calendar and select all the calendars?

I have multiple calendars in my Google Calendar. Why is it only showing the main calendar, and not the others?
I believe you're meant to do the same process for each email account you've got a calendar with.

@@SystemHacks ok so I figured out the issue via their Twitter. Google apparently did something, so they updated it in their latest app update to fix it

Why is that I don't have any CARDAV option. I only have CALDAV and WEBCAL. How can I get access for CARDAV?
I tried to review carefully your process, all are in place. Only that, DAVx5 only has CALDAV and WEBCAL

Yeah. I did. But it's the same thing. Only CALDAV appears but not CARDAV.

Me too. I followed every step, and I got CALDAV and WEBCAV tabs, no CARDDAV and address book. So later on, I do not have in Contact/settings/Display Pref./""DAVX address book" option :(
same here. tryed three versions of davx, but same thing. missing CARDDAV. yes, calendar works, 2step is activated, but CARDDAV missing. i tryed to see options for calendar sharing and embeeding, and there is no similar link as is in your video. which, btw, worked flawless until today. please can you give a look what is problem. thanks in advance!

Did you enter correct details? Maybe you will need latest version of davx5
There is a much simpler way to export your contacts that only takes a couple of minutes and a few steps.
Video is not about the export but to keep them synced
