the problem with Christianity is that they want to teach Jews what the Hebrew scriptures means.
One thing more the Hebrew Scriptures were meant for the Hebrews not the gentiles so for them to claim it is utterly preposterous. 🤣🤣🤣

Having spent 30 years identifying as a Christian I agree absolutely. And they can't not shove their crap down everyone's throat when I did attend church I refused to prostilzize it's harassment. Wow! Fantastic answer (as always)! I was having a Bible study with a Christian friend and I took and showed him VOL 1-LETS GET BIBLICAL, he was fascinated! He asked to borrow the book to read until the following week when we were to meet again. Yeah, he showed his minister (Ind. fundamental baptist) who was not happy with it (truth does that)...a few days later the book was "STOLEN" from his car! Then he claimed he could not afford to replace it! I am still shocked at the lengths xtians will go to hide the truth!!!

Hello Rabbi Tovia Singer, not sure if this will get to you but I shall try. I’ve been born to a Christian home, and as a good Christian mother, my mother taught me the ways of God, and the ways of Jesus. I have come to know God, and to love him, even when i have cause very bad things in his eyes, I still try to repent to his ways, learn more about him, and learn to love him every day. Ive had many questions on the doctrines of christianity, but told myself “somethings are through faith”. I never saw the many denominations we have as ‘good’, and started a year(s) long research in proving that one should be the correct one, not so many that preach different moralities, as if, we were worshipping different gods. Then, one day I said, “let me see the angle of Judaism”, and like all people my age (24) went in RUclips and wrote a “smart” question. You came up, this was 2 months ago. You have brought such a great confusion to my life that brings me to tears, and I do not tear easily. I was born in cuba, spent many years living in and out of a hospital in the cancer ward, discover my father’s adulteries ways, fought many mental health issues (age 8 to 9) due to the discovery and him blaming me for everything (thank God I became healthy after he bestow in our lives a real good man), lost my little brother to cancer a day after my own birthday, lost my stepfather two years ago whom I learn to respect and love as my own father, my mother is now with very bad health, I am providing as the man of the house thanks to God’s mercy, point is, I am no stranger to hardship, yet my soul has been crying since meeting you. I have watched by now probably 40 of your videos, thoroughly as a theologian (as a normal guy studying the Bible, Tanakh), even bought a tanakh with a more ‘accurate’ translation to the original Hebrew (in English). I only wish to learn the true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel), and bring my household, though young for my age according to today’s standards, and lead them to God in righteousness, not idolatry. I write this because, I asked my Pastor on Jesus’s credibility in his genealogy according to Matthew and Luke, he gave me his answers, a very humble man, most I did not agree with since learning from your teachings, but the ones that I was off about and wanted to ask a Rabbi this week, you just answer in this video… I have considered myself a man who follows only scripture, yet since meeting you, I have had to ask myself “do you truly follow scripture, or the church?”. Writing the following words are not easy, but, me watching your video, this video, and listening you answer ALL of my questions, literally the ones I asked, I believe is God reaching to me, but if it is indeed God reaching to me, this implies the God I worship, thinking him to be the one and truly, perhaps was nothing more than a false prophet. Again I say, you brought confusion to my life, a confusion which, up to now, though my soul cries everyday and I find no joy in nothing for I am not sure of the truth, I believe this confusion is a blessing by the Mighty God who is calling me to worship Him truly. Even as I write these, I am honest, I am not 100%, all I know is that following your teachings and instructions of reading the tanakh without wanting to find Jesus, I have been reading a different book from the Old Testament, your arguments for your faith makes theological and logical sense, And so I decided, for now, not to eat pork (as a Cuban that has been my entire lively diet since birth), not to pray in Jesus name nor think of him in my prayers, I don’t eat lobster so no problem there. Is not that I want to keep the laws God bestow upon Israel, as I have learn from you there is a different for a Jew and a Gentile, but, I’m not sure to be honest, only that I want to be as close to God as humanly possible, to love Him, to worship Him, to keep His laws, not to anger Him, I’ve always believe that if I followed those things, it doesn’t matter what happens in my life, for it will be under His will to do what He wills it to be, hopefully for the righteous and not for evil deeds as the Pharaoh was used in Exodus. Gentiles are obligated to keep the 7 Noahide commandments. If a Gentile observes any of the Jewish commandments from the Torah as a religious obligation (even if he does so from a desire to receive a spiritual reward), this is forbidden based on the prohibition of adding a commandment, and there is no spiritual reward to be derived from this.
Thank you for that, it’s just that, to me it feels wrong to an extent, but I understand. It will be wrong of me to pick and choose what laws to oblige by, as a Jew or gentile, though gentile in my case. The Noahide laws I will keep, though in my heart a full conversion to Judaism, to the nation of Israel, is a very strong intuition. I will nonetheless keep surfing the Tanakh, keep praying to God and make sure to keep away from anything evil or wrong in God’s eyes. Thank you, may God bless you

Some, so called "Christians" affirm God's triune nature as in modalism, that is, God is manifested in three forms, e.g. the idea that Jesus is God the Father in the flesh. In turning over the first leaves of scriptures, we see God referring to himself in a plurality of persons. Elohim in Hebrew is a noun in plural form, it is not singular. When God decided to create man, all three persons of the trinity worked together to form him. Many in the Jewish faith have held that this plurality refers to angels, but this is not the case. Only man was made in God's image, the angels were not.

After this concluding statement, in verse 35 we are told that one of Jerahmeel’s great grandchildren (a fellow named Sheshan who was 7 generations removed from Jerahmeel) had no sons but a daughter who was given in marriage to an Egyptian slave. [Ps. Nowhere does it say that this slave inherited any tribal rights]. Again, verse 33 makes it clear that the children from the daughter and the Egyptian were NOT considered included in descendants of Jerahmeel! Again: *THAT LIST WAS CLOSED IN VERSE 33* The children of this union between Sheshan’s daughter and Jarha are not considered as descendants of Jerahmeel, verse 33 closes that lineage. Therefore, Sheshan’s descendants from his daughter were not considered to be a continuation of the family line of Jerahmeel. [The children were Jewish since being Jewish goes by the mother, but tribal lineage, goes solely by the father, as Hebrew scriptures stress many times].

@@flyingcat7975 you misunderstood what was taught. Gentile women who convert to Judaism are fully jewish. Before their conversion they were forbidden for a Jew to marry. After their conversion they can marry Jews, because they are now fully jewish. No need to keep track of anything other than that they were properly converted.
The jewish status of sincere converts to Judaism has nothing to do with any tribal status in terms of descent from one of the original tribes of the jewish nation descending from the 12 sons of Jacob in a patrilineal descent. A convert to Judaism does not acquire tribal lineage thereby. The convert is deemed a child of Abraham and his spiritual heir, whose soul was always connected to the spiritual heritage of Abraham, and was therefore drawn to become one with the seed of Abraham.
The problem in the verse they discussed in Chronicles involved an exception to the rule of conversions, that applied to Egyptians who wished to convert to Judaism, which were prohibited to marry jewish women for three generations, and had to marry instead other converts to Judaism, and only after three generations their descendants could marry other Jews freely. And yes, in order to observe this law of the Torah, it was necessary to keep track of the lineage of this family descended from an Egyptian convert to Judaism, so as to know when they could be permitted to marry freely with the rest of the jewish people.
(Note: But after the Assyrian conquest in the 8th century BCE, and the subsequent deportations of many peoples from their countries of origin, which was done by the Assyrians in order to lessen the chances of rebellion, since the subjugated peoples were no longer living in their ancestral lands, the rabbinic leadership of the jewish people ruled that it is no longer possible to know for certain from which biblical era people a person came from, and today it would be impossible to know if someone living in the country of Egypt, was actually a biblically recognized “Egyptian” to whom the prohibition to marry Jews would apply.)

The true identity of a child as a Jew or a Gentile by birth is matrilineal; it follows the identity of the mother who conceived the embryo and carried it through pregnancy until the child's birth. On the other hand, the membership of a born-Jewish person in one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel is patrilineal, based on the tribe of the born-Jewish father. Therefore, a child who is born to a Jewish woman and a Gentile father is fully Jewish, but without membership in any of the Twelve Tribes.

This son of the egyptian man, was still Jewish, because his mother was Jewish, however he was not called an "Israelite" because his father wasn't jewish and hence had no tribal affiliation, rather only "the son of the israelite woman". He was still part of the Jewish people, despite having a nonjewish father.

During Jesus' time, he referred to the Word often. That Word is the Tanakh (Old Testament ). In Mathew, Jesus makes it clear that not one letter or period of the Word will change until the earth passes away. Jesus also said he did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. Meaning that he observed the Law, which has not been done away with.
Here is the good news. The law only applies to the Jews. You, gentile, are not under the law to be judged by it. You are responsible for the seven Noahide laws. Even if you break these, you have a way to repent and correct your path.
G-d has given us free will. In Christianity, free will is subjected to the fear of eternal hell which voids free will. Is G-d a hypocrite, then? Would he ask to be loved by coercion? The concept of eternal damnation is only found in the NT.
It is VERY important that you understand that G-d detests human sacrifices in His name. Why would he create a human being to then be offered as a sacrifice?
Blood sacrifices are done to forgive unintentional sins ONLY. This being true, then Jesus' blood could have NOT absolved ALL of our sins.
Lastly, the law is a system of governance. It gave Israel the foundations to properly cultivate, a legal code, Financial code, marriage code, how to worship Him, law for the temple, laws that only apply to women, and laws that only apply to men to mention a few.
What does it mean "the law condemns you"? It means that when you don't follow the law you will be convicted by its penalty. It is no different than our legal system. It does not mean burning in hell forever.

And since an angel is a representative of G-d, it is referred to as G-d, much like judges are referred to as G-d (Elohim), or Moses was referred to as G-d (Elohim), and many other examples in the hebrew Bible where that which represents G-d is called G-d. It of course does not mean these human or angelic representatives were thought to actually BE G-d, which would be idolatry, but rather in a metaphoric sense represented G-d. This is how all followers of the teachings of the Torah understand the biblical language. Get with the program.

Why was the young David so reviled by his brothers and people?
To understand the hatred directed toward David, we need to investigate the inner workings behind the events, the secret episodes that aren’t recorded in the prophetic books but are alluded to in Midrashim.4
David’s father, Yishai, was the grandson of Boaz and Ruth. After several years of marriage to his wife, Nitzevet, and after having raised several virtuous children, Yishai began to entertain personal doubts about his ancestry. True, he was the leading Torah authority of his day, but his grandmother Ruth was a convert from the nation of Moab, as related in the book of Ruth.
During Ruth’s lifetime, many individuals were doubtful about the legitimacy of her marriage to Boaz. The Torah specifically forbids an Israelite to marry a Moabite convert, since this is the nation that cruelly refused the Jewish people passage through their land, or food and drink to purchase, when they wandered in the desert after being freed from Egypt.
Boaz and the sages understood this law-as per the classic interpretation transmitted in the “Oral Torah”-as forbidding intermarriage with converted male Moabites (who were the ones responsible for the cruel conduct), while exempting female Moabite converts. With his marriage to Ruth, Boaz hoped to clarify and publicize this Torah law, which was still unknown to the masses.
Boaz died the night after his marriage with Ruth. Ruth had conceived and subsequently gave birth to their son Oved, the father of Yishai. Some rabble-rousers at the time claimed that Boaz’s death verified that his marriage to Ruth the Moabite had indeed been forbidden.
Time would prove differently. Once Oved (so called because he was a true oved, servant of G‑d), and later Yishai and his offspring, were born, their righteous conduct and prestigious positions proved the legitimacy of their ancestry. It was impossible that men of such caliber could have descended from a forbidden union.
However, later in his life, doubt gripped at Yishai’s heart, gnawing away at the very foundation of his existence. Being the sincere individual that he was, his integrity compelled him to action.
If Yishai’s status was questionable, he was not permitted to remain married to his wife, a veritable Israelite. Disregarding the personal sacrifice, Yishai decided the only solution would be to separate from her, no longer engaging in marital relations. Yishai’s children were aware of this separation.
After a number of years had passed, Yishai longed for a child whose ancestry would be unquestionable. His plan was to engage in relations with his Canaanite maidservant.
He said to her: “I will be freeing you conditionally. If my status as a Jew is legitimate, then you are freed as a proper Jewish convert to marry me. If, however, my status is blemished and I have the legal status of a Moabite convert forbidden to marry an Israelite, I am not giving you your freedom; but as a shifchah k’naanit, a Canaanite maidservant, you may marry a Moabite convert.”
The maidservant was aware of the anguish of her mistress, Nitzevet. She understood her pain in being separated from her husband for so many years. She knew, as well, of Nitzevet’s longing for more children.
The empathetic maidservant secretly approached Nitzevet and informed her of Yishai’s plan, suggesting a bold counterplan.
“Let us learn from your ancestresses and replicate their actions. Switch places with me tonight, just as Leah did with Rachel,” she advised.
With a prayer on her lips that her plan succeed, Nitzevet took the place of her maidservant. That night, Nitzevet conceived. Yishai remained unaware of the switch.
After three months, Nitzevet’s pregnancy became obvious. Incensed, her sons wished to kill their apparently adulterous mother and the “illegitimate” fetus that she carried. Nitzevet, for her part, would not embarrass her husband by revealing the truth of what had occurred. Like her ancestress Tamar, who was prepared to be burned alive rather than embarrass Judah,5 Nitzevet chose a vow of silence. And like Tamar, Nitzevet would be rewarded for her silence with a child of greatness who would be the forebear of Moshiach.
Unaware of the truth behind his wife’s pregnancy, but having compassion on her, Yishai ordered his sons not to touch her. “Do not kill her! Instead, let the child that will be born be treated as a lowly and despised servant. In this way everyone will realize that his status is questionable and, as an illegitimate child, he will not marry an Israelite.”
From the time of his birth onwards, then, Nitzevet’s son was treated by his brothers as an abominable outcast.6 Noting the conduct of his brothers, the rest of the community assumed that this youth was a treacherous sinner full of unspeakable guilt.
On the infrequent occasions that Nitzevet’s son would return from the pastures to his home in Beit Lechem (Bethlehem), he was shunned by the townspeople. If something was lost or stolen, he was accused as the natural culprit, and ordered, in the words of the psalm, to “repay what I have not stolen.”
Eventually, the entire lineage of Yishai was questioned, as well as the basis of the original law of the Moabite convert. People claimed that all the positive qualities of Boaz became manifest in Yishai and his illustrious seven sons, while all the negative character traits from Ruth the Moabite clung to this despicable youngest son."

I am going to call your attention as it is found in the 3rd chapter of the book of the Acts of the apostles, please read verse’s 1-6.
Now Peter and John went up together into the Temple at the hour of prayer being the ninth hour then over to verse 12, 13, and 14 of the third chapter of the Acts of the apostles, from this passage, I will take the opportunity to say unto you this day about Jesus Transformed and Transformer.
In the days of Jesus flesh he was a man who really had no dire needs, he didn’t have to have fear taken away as a Son of God because he had none, he was never demon possess so he didn’t have to have devils cast out and you never read where Jesus ever had to be healed because he was never sick and of course he was a man without sin.
Mary wanted to know how he was going to be conceived, the angels told her that “Holy Thing” shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Jesus never had problems with demons he stood tall on their heads at every turn he never had to have a demon cast out of him storms and winds were never a problem to him, if he came in contact with a violent wind he’ll just say shut up! and the winds would cease.

Jesus didn’t really have to have folks to support him, you never read where Jesus preached and taught and folks stood on their feet and said amen and hallelujah, it was not human support that made Jesus who he was he was self sufficient so powerful on his own until nothing on earth could put him in a place where he needed to have a transition, but the Father did it when He sent him to the Garden of Gethsemane and to the Cross of Calvary for the human family, that’s when he needed a dramatic assistance from Almighty God he needed a transformation because God had committed him to what the winds couldn’t committ him to, satan couldn’t commit him to it, his enemies couldn’t committ him to it, and there was the Cross of Calvary.
God, put him to grief, took him down to the lowest hell, and made him taste death for every man, his suffering had no comparison in history, no man had ever cried tears like he cried in Gethsemane, there never been such a broken heart, never a load so heavy to bear in the history of the world.
The judgment of God had never been so vehement against a man or group of men as it was when Jesus went to Gethsemane and on to Calvary he needed a transformation and no one could give it to him but the Heavenly Father.
You stop and think, that Jesus died on the cross for every man, hold it, he wasn’t playing games on Calvary, do you not realize that hell was being faced by every one of us? Hell, the lake that burn with fire and brimstone’s, what did God do? He sent Jesus to hell for every one of us!
Wait folks, so you don’t think you’re going to hell? Do you know why you’re not going? Somebody had to go for our sins, oh yes, oh yes, the soul that sins, it shall die, somebody had to go, you know we may not think as serious as we do about what Jesus was up against at Calvary, that was no side show! It was REAL!

I appreciate R. Singer's insight, and Pauline Christianity has a problem when they try to reason the virgin birth scenario. The Rabbi is correct in his attack on Pauline Christianity, however, although he levels a constant attack on Paulinism....he never mentions the Nazarenes or the Ebionites (the earliest Jewish followers of Jesus and the contemporaries of the Apostles) and what they believed. I know how sharp the Rabbi is, and unless he is dumb as a brick (which we all know better), the question is, why does he not devote any time to those groups closest to Jesus? He knows Pauline Christianity and its theology backward and forward, and he can quote from the Church fathers better than most theologians (and he is not wrong in his assessment there), but he never addresses the Nazarenes and Ebionites...almost to the point of nonexistence...I have a suspicion why...
Here are the facts (and you can leave Christianity out of it as if it never existed):
- The Nazarenes (Ebionites) knew Jesus to have been born naturally as a result of the marital relations between a husband and wife (Joseph and Mary).
- They knew Jesus to be the "adopted" Son of God at his Adult Baptism, a position won by his righteousness and piety.
-They had a Hebrew (Aramaic) Gospel of Matthew that predated any of the Pauline Letters or Greek Gospels. Thier Aramaic Gospel of Matthew did not include a "virgin birth scenario", nor did it give a genealogy line. It didn't have to. They knew that Jesus was born of human parents (Mary and Joseph) into the tribe of Judah, as a descendent of David...as many others were.
- They had the Clementine Literature (the teachings of Peter) that also predated the Pauline Letters and the Greek Gospels. The Clementines give an in-depth look into the history of Israel, and Jesus...which included his human origins.
- The Nazarenes (Ebionites) considered Paul to be their enemy who taught contrary to the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles...so anything Pauline in theology is opposite to Nazarene Judaism.
This stuff is easily researched....

My reply: I will agree and disagree with that. I can guarantee that 99% of the Christians have never heard of the Nazarene (Ebionite) Jews, nor would they know that these were the original Jewish followers of Jesus. I do know that many Christians love Jews...and Judaism...and if they were to do a very deep study on the subject, they would (as I did) give up Pauline Christianity and embrace Nazarene Judaism. It is my opinion that what keeps the run-of-the-mill Christian from embracing Nazarene Judaism (and believing Jesus is the Messiah) is ignorance of the Nazarenes and what that early group believed and practiced.
Here's the thing, Jesus should not be associated with Paul as the Rabbi does, but rather, the Rabbi should argue against Paul creating a false caricature, making a Gentile Jesus out of the Nazarene Jesus. When the Rabbi doesn't mention that the original Jesus followers didn't associate with Paul, to me that's a bit disingenuous. To preach against Paulinism and associate Jesus with Pauline Christianity is (I can't find the right word). I guess what I'm trying to say, is that yes, Paul is criminal for creating a false caricature of Jesus, but the various rabbis are criminal for embracing Paul's creation and not recognizing the Jewish Jesus.

From this passage we learn that the showbread was placed on the table in two stacks, each stack containing six loaves. Frankincense (resin extracted from the Boswellia sacra tree) was placed on the table with the showbread. Fresh loaves of bread replaced the old loaves on the table every Shabbat, and the Kohanim (priests) would eat the loaves that were removed from the table.
What Was Done with the Showbread?
The loaves of showbread were placed on the table in the Tabernacle and, later, in the Temple. They were placed in two stacks of six loaves each, with reeds separating the loaves.
Every Shabbat, after the Mincha (afternoon) sacrifice, the old loaves were replaced with new ones. The old loaves were given to Kohanim to eat.
Reasons for the Name
In Hebrew, the showbread is called lechem hapanim, which translates literally as “face bread.” The Talmud says that it was called lechem hapanim because it had many “faces,” i.e., many sides.7 The translation of the verse by Yonatan ben Uziel into Aramaic says that the showbread got its name because it was inside ("p’nim”) the hall of the Tabernacle and the Temple...
Why Showbread?
Maimonides says8 that he wasn’t able to find explanations for this mitzvah. However, different explanations have been given over the years, and there is a central message that is similar in all the explanations: the showbread symbolizes the material abundance that G‑d gives to the Jews. It’s a continuous reminder that our livelihoods and food come only from G‑d.
Three times a year, when the children of Israel made the pilgrimage to the Holy Temple-on Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot-they were shown the table and the showbread. “Look at how beloved you are by G‑d!” the Kohanim would tell them, pointing to the showbread, which stayed hot and fresh even though it was left out for a whole week.9
The Talmud10 tells us, “If a person wants to become rich, he should point his feet to the north when he prays.” The table was on the north side of the Temple, and the showbread was a perpetual reminder of G‑d’s generosity, and the channel for abundance and prosperity."

The reason why they take it from a man’s side is because even in proper form such as nobility goes you go towards the the man’s side of family even if they were commoners. To my understanding Mary was approached by the Messenger before Joseph came into the picture Saying Hail Mary the Lord is with you. This would actually make kinda sense. If it’s bloodline then it’s wouldn’t come from Joseph side but, Mary’s side and would throw whole genealogy factor upside down.

Ezra chap 10 deals with blasphemy and does not confirm or deny anything about wether or not the Jewish mother makes him a Foreigner or not. It looks as if it is simply stating that the same punishment applies to either one that he could be. Also Ezra 10 seems to be more about land ownership. It reads to me as if The men simply have to leave their foreign wives and people of that foreign faith to get the family land. It says nothing about the children of that type of union being non Hebrew or not belonging to a particular house.
The crisis of Jewish men who had married non-Jewish women comes into view in Ezra 10. They are told to send away their foreign wives and children (10:3), and we are given a list of these men (10:18-44).

@@paulawallace8784 I can find Rashi. I have already sliced and diced a foul Bible translation from the Jehovahs Witnesses in my life time. Now there are issues between Bibles in general and Judaism. My first look into dss of Isaiah shows the General Bible is correct. Too bad Rashi is a polemical type. Same issue with Hashem being pierced in Zechariah 12:10.

ACCORDING TO THE QURAN, MARY WAS A LEVITE WHO WAS MARRIED TO A MAN FROM THE TRIBE OF JUDAH: The Quran confirms that Mary was married but had not yet cohabited with her husband in Quran 3:45 which says: " [And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah]." Here Gabriel is telling Mary that she was to be the mother of the messiah. According to 2 Samuel 7, the messiah was to be a patrilineal descendant of David who was from the tribe of Judah. Quran says that Mary was from the tribe of Levi. According to Quran 3:35, Mary's mother is described as (ٱمْرَأَتُ عِمْرَٰنَ) or a 'woman of Imran (biblical Amram)". Imran (Amram) was from the tribe of Levi and the father of Moses, Aaron and Miriam. Mary is thus designated as a 'sister of Aaron' because she is also from the tribe of Levi. The Gospel of Luke describes Mary's cousin in a similar manner when it states her kinswoman, Elizabeth, was 'from the daughters of Aaron' (Luke 1:36). So, the Quran declares through the annunciation of the messiah, that Mary, a Levite, was married to a man from the tribe of Judah who was one of the many patrilineal descendants of David. Jesus would not have fulfilled the requirements of the messiah unless his mother was married to a descendant of David who would be his biological father. The genealogies of Jesus in the gospels of Matthew and Luke confirm that Jesus' biological father was from the tribe of Judah. Quran is always correct and precise.
