Illit would likely not be as successful as they are if they did girl crush. There is so much competition with Gidle, Aespa, Itzy, KoL, Baby Monster, BadVillian, Le Sserafim and others who are amazing at girl crush. Yunah might prefer girl crush, but she also looks happy doing the concept they have now. This happens often. That's the problem with groups that are built from fan votes. But also, hybe labels just grab people who look good together and force them into the concept they think will work even if it doesn't fit their style or vocal range. No wonder their groups get hate for poor vocal performances
If watching some groups tho, they started to debut as someone so far or near to their auras or charisma. And going back I would also say as of "why the company made them liked that, the concept doesn't fit them". But now, all is that are for marketing. If someone is watching them having that concept that suits them. Then what and where is the surprise factor? Some people will get over them quickly. That's the problem with groups that are built from fan votes. But also, hybe labels just grab people who look good together and force them into the concept they think will work even if it doesn't fit their style or vocal range. No wonder their groups get hate for poor vocal performances

If watching some groups tho, they started to debut as someone so far or near to their auras or charisma. And going back I would also say as of "why the company made them liked that, the concept doesn't fit them". But now, all is that are for marketing. If someone is watching them having that concept that suits them. Then what and where is the surprise factor? Some people will get over them quickly. That's why many groups were changing concept or themes through out their journey. Just saying tho, no hate peace.

I’m no Illit hatter but I do think the cute/dream girl concept was mainly for Wonhee and the other girls just had to adapt. I’m not saying they failed to fit the concept, but I do think Hybe should’ve gone with a concept that fits them all. If that makes sense.
