Have you ever lost something precious and been looking for days and then suddenly someone comes to you and hands it to you and says "were you looking for this?". Well this lesson made me feel just like that. I'm so glad you made it. Your channel should be 39 million subscriber to be faire. Thanks.

Great! As an intermediate guitarist stuck at that level for 35 years I struggle to find a practice routine outline that works. Right now I’m trying three minutes of spider walk variations for the left hand, move on to cross picking for two or three minutes for the right hand and coordination, then go through my saved RUclips lessons and/or work on learning songs. It requires a discipline and a timer.

Sounds awesome 👏🏻. Sounds like me too!! Have you ever considered creating content on utube? I can honestly say it’s the best thing I ever did to improve and most importantly, have fun and stay motivated 😁. Good luck 👍.

I remember my first guitar teacher wanting me to read music, learn the major scale in all positions and other not so helpful things. I never understood the basics of how music works, like 1 -4 -5 are the major chords! Almost everything I needed to learn is in this one lesson. Love this channel, I always learn something and it puts me in a good mood.

I think practicing pick direction is important. Some people (many, perhaps) have trouble with it. I used to, back when I played decades ago.
But recently, when I started back playing regularly, I was suddenly good with my picking technique! I usually don't even pay attention. When I do, I notice that I change direction often, without even thinking about it, I just do what's required for the passage.
Overall, this video was great! I really like the way you introduced all the concepts to practice (BTW, I have replaced my terminology with yours for the pentatonic shapes, lol).
I'm going to integrate it with my practice, even though I've been proceeding fairly quickly.
I think your method will supercharge my own!
Finally, your books are awesome! I've only got the first "solo" book, but i plan to get Vol II.
    Keep it up, Blue!
    You're awesome.

@@GuitarLessonsVancouver all good, I have both. I wish there were links in the book to patreon videos etc. It’s nice having a person guide you through the lessons.
I’m currently going down your index in patreon to try and burn in some fundamentals. I have plenty of theory but it’s the hands-on - exactly like this video - that I need to practice.

So, you can put silly (and confusing) nicknames to pentatonic shapes, but using 'diagonal pentatonics' is a crime now?🥲
