I had the question of how to have two outlook accounts open and clicked on this video--low and behold, you are the expert teaching me! Fantastic video! What a nice synchronicity.
I’ve got a bit another problem with Outlook 2021 pro. Have no ability to add an additional account (with IMAP settings) “Support for additional accounts coming soon” it says. Is there any way to find a solution?
Thanks for commenting. That doesn't make any sense. We've always been able to add IMAP accounts and multiple of them. Maybe something new I haven't seen yet, but there's always a way to add an account, but if you're trying to add Gmail for example, you would need to create an app password to use in Outlook. I still don't see how it would generate that message as it doesn't make sense. More details would be required to troubleshoot.
@@TwinBytesInc Thank you for your reply. I solved the problem by installing an older version of MS Office and no problems occurred. Perhaps the 2021 version had some functional limitations, I think that was the reason
I don't know why you would do that instead of having both in the same profile. You can simply go to open another copy of Outlook and it should prompt you which profile you want to open.
@@esandaupstreamoilgastraini2435 When you open the first copy, does it prompt you or just open 1 profile? if it just opens a profile automatically, you need to change the setting to prompt for a profile.
@@TwinBytesInc yes it prompts me to open one or the other profile and then opening it again it just opens up the same profile without asking which one I would like to open.
It has the same features but the first step of accessing the control panel in Windows is different in a Mac. You would have mail settings somewhere on the Mac. From that point it should be the same.
Hello~ It's currently 2023 & I definitely have the Mail app, yet when I search for it under the Control Panel's search bar, nothing shows up! Any ideas??
Mail is different from Outlook. Mail comes with Windows for free. Outlook comes with Office and that's what we're showing in this video. You don't see the mail icon in the control panel because you don't have Outlook installed or the installation is damaged.
@@TwinBytesInc But in the video you instruct that we type "Mail" into the Control Panel. (Also; is it then abnormal that my "Mail" app shows my "Outlook" email address contents, despite them being two separate applications??🤔🤔
@@whi2gan This all sounds correct. the "Mail" app in control panel is for Outlook, not for the "Mail" program on the computer. The mail program can certainly also contain the same emails as Outlook. Either program can contain any email, the same or different emails. it's a bit confusing, but this video has nothing to do with the "Mail" program. it is for Outlook. Microsoft really confused people with their name choices.
That means there a problem with the installation of your Microsoft Office software. You can try a Quick repair, or Online Repair, then failing those, uninstall and reinstall Office.
Thanks for your question. I think you are wanting to have two different Outlooks open at the same time. This is not possible but there maybe a trick I'm not aware of. Maybe two different desktop views but I haven't tried. Great question.
I have two outlook accounts and the calendar default only shows one of the accounts. how do get the other account to show up for calendar appointments?
When you are in calendar view, you should see the other calendar on the left side. You just need to click to put a check mark in the box. It will then show up.
I have 3 hotmail accounts and would like to keep the addresses, but "link" (not sure about word usage) them together in one Outlook account. Can I even do this? If so how?
Hello BA. Thanks for your comment/question. I believe you want to have the ability to just open Outlook and see all 3 email accounts at the same time with their individual Inbox, Sent, Deleted, and other folders. is that right? Or maybe you want to just use one as the master to send and receive through and have the other two accounts forward to that one and get people used to emailing you at that one account.
Maybe you can help. Wife and I have one outlook acct and 2 emails. Hers is an alias. When she sends email, it show her email but shows my name, not hers. Deleted the alias (her) and now outlook wont' let me create an account using her email. I'm stuck@#$#@#
That's for your question. Although I don't offer free tech support here, if you have an error message to share, it might be a quick answer. Also as my channel grows, it's hard to guarantee I can reply everyone, so joining as a member eventually will be the only way to guarantee responses or at least priority responses.
No, that would be a different procedure. You would have to log out of the web based one you are signed into and sign into the other one. Or you can use two different web browsers, or two different web browser profiles, so you can use one web browser profile for one email account and a different web browser profile (or different browser completely) for the other email account.
Thanks for your comment/question. Check the profile settings again. You might not have it on the option to prompt for which profile to use and instead is defaulting to one.

what I want to know can you open profile 1 & open another tab for profile 2. this way I could go from 1 to 2 extracting info. Can this be done?
I don't know why you would do that instead of having both in the same profile. You can simply go to open another copy of Outlook and it should prompt you which profile you want to open.

The final thing is, is it possible to have two different profiles open at the same time?
Yes, just open Outlook again and it should prompt you to choose a profile. Then you have two copies of Outlook open with different profiles.
@@TwinBytesInc Thanks Daniel, but when I do that it just automatically opens the same profile without asking.

Oh ok haha & thank you for all the replies!❤ Does this sadly mean I cannot follow this tutorial?
Sounds like no. Sorry. If you're using the mail program that would be a different tutorial, if it's possible to even do it with that program.
When I go to Control Panel and type "mail" as you did, it states "No items match your search." I am not able to do what you advised in this video. ??

Does this work with web based Outlook?
