I did the application online. Been 170 days, still waitingl. Two calls the alberta cfo "just wait longer" was the response. My friend sent his in by mail, took 6 weeks to get the licence.

can you do a quick vid on uploading a digital photo for your ID please.
If you follow the instructions in the application and checklist this should be fairly self explanatory.
Figured it out change pic to proper file then best quality to bring it up past 200 kg. Done. Stressed my out for a week then I got it lol

Yeah honesty always the best policy.
If it was by mail, probably 2-3 months if they have to ask more questions or get you to have your doc fill out a form. But probably not longer than that.

Hy.. i got my training done and got my info form fseso. I tried to apply rpal online but its telling me to provide letter of good conduct. But i dont know where to upload that letter. Can anyone help me am at second page of MyCFP where they ask about your date of birth and place of birth its not letting me continue or upload the letter. Some help plz 🙏🏼
I’d give CFP a call. Unfortunately I can’t be much help here because I applied for both my licenses on paper.

No. Any citizen or permanent resident can apply for the pal, pending their completion of the appropriate safety course.

Congrats! As a minor I believe there is a separate process. Please reference the firearms program website for info or give them a call for more details on their process with minors applying for a license.
Where's the option to tack on your RPAL sheets as well?
On the paper application there is a place where you check next to the box for each license you are applying for.
I didn't see an option to add my RPAL scanned copy. Cant you add them both at the same time?
You can apply for both at the same time, yes.
If I want to get Restricted firm arm license directly, is that possible or first I have to get non-restricted?
There's only two ways. You must already have your non restricted. Or, you do both courses for NR and R in one weekend and apply for both.

It’s under the references section on the paper application. On the electronic application it’s in the same area but instead of them signing you can provide their information and RCMP can call them.
Can I take RPAL certification directly without PAL Certification?
No. Just like hookers and blow, you can’t have one without the other. That’s a joke. But seriously no, you need to have a PAL to have an RPAL. But you can do both courses in one weekend.
if you do the online application to buy firearms will you receive the permit by post ? and how long to expect ? it says wait at least 28 days, its been 1 month and 5 days for me and dont know if itll come by mail or online ?
The license is a physical card. But there’s a mandatory 28 day waiting period before they even look at your application. Give it another 2 months.
@@canadianoperator Thanks, ill be patient i thought it was a 28 days period to get the license lol. Only thing since its physical its possible that canada post lose it ?
@@GTI794No worries. Yeah it’s 28 days before they even look at it lol. Speed of government…. But, that’s only for your first license. I hate to say this but… Canada Post has never lost a parcel of mine so I can’t really speak to that. Again, patience is key :)
Hi there, I can’t find the application for RPAL. Do we need to complete PAL application first?
You can’t apply for an RPAL unless you already have a PAL. The exception to this is if you had done the course for both in the same weekend.
In this case I believe that the application for the RPAL is in the form of an additional checkbox on the original application, rather than a separate application altogether.
So you’d only need one application, and then just check off which license you are applying for.

If I already apply by mail do I still need to make an account for online? I made one thinking I can manage and check my status haha should I delete my account?
They kinda screwed up because they have the main CFP account that you would sign in to check your mailed application, get a transfer number, register a restricted firearm etc but then they have an online only account for online apps and they are NOT the same thing. Kinda stupid and a waste of resources.
If you’re talking about the account to do online app you don’t need to worry. It will self delete after a period of inactivity.
Thank you soo much your the goat! I called the RMCP couple days ago, since it hit the 3 months and they told me I'm in the final stage, she also said that I should be getting it within 30 days if not call them back so I'm hoping I get it soon!
