Y'all gotta agree. These 2 generations gave a true feeling to Pixelated, Coded pocket monsters. They truly gave the best start to an amazing franchise of games.
Gen 1 and 2 have that little something in their overly pixelated look that other gens don't., without mentioning how linked they both are, they really are special, and, the fact that I started with them doesn't help. At all.
Thank you for bringing me back to 1999 in 27 minutes. The nostalgia was real in these animations. Loved all the references to the original games, SFX included. The ending hits like a truck.
I can't tell how much you made me feel during the whole video, it almost made me cry, somehow Kanto and Johto are connected in lot ways and the details you have out on the video explains to clearly, Red, beginning as a Pokemon trainer chose Charmander as his first starter and went to become the champion and went to found out his rival was the Champion, after he got defeated, Red was considered to be the champion then he was gone missing after he caught all the legendaries and went to Mt. Silver without anyone knowing, just three years later, Ethan, started his adventure choosing Cyndaquil, he was kind of Red too, catching Pokemon, earning gym badges and lastly as Red was missing, Lance stood as the champion again, Ethan beating Lance made him realize now it's the time for him to go and explore Kanto too, Ethan went to Kanto, collecting badges and then finally taking his step to Mt. Silver where Red was training his Pokemon, the intense battle started as both of their memories started to grow closely and slowly coming to an never end, Red was defeated, without further saying, he revived his Charizard and went up to fly to Pallet Town, to meet his mom, And after all this years, slightly so much changed, this is Nastalgia, this is for us too I know you guys know all this, but it made me feel so many things, Thankyou Game freak for this amazing ideas and different game stories which will always remain in my heart ♡
Honestly this is one of the most wholesome and awesome Pokémon animations I’ve ever seen. I especially like the end part where Ethan is an adult looking back on his childhood as well as lance being the elder elite four member.
"Ugh, 'Smell you later' is _soo_ 1990's, gramps..." "I heard he thought there were only 150 Pokemon!" "He used to use an Alakazam because they didn't know Dark type was a thing." "They used to think legendary Pokemon could be found under trucks." "Do you kids _want_ to be trapped by tall grass until your twenties?"
Love how they portrayed Lance’s character on here. It shows like he sort of lost that drive that kept pushing him to keep his limits to be best after he lost to Blue and Red and It wasn’t until Red gave him a Charmander that returned Lance to training once again. He evolved his Dragonair’s to Dragonites and evolved his Charmander to Charizard. However by the time Lance retuned to his former self he once was in his youth, Red had abruptly left the league, and it kinda left Lance in a familiar but yet peculiar position. Being the champ once again but it felt more like a job than something of pride and passion. However, he fought Gold and his battle he realized something, he saw something in Gold that he hasn’t seen in a battle in years, a trainer with that same drive and the heart of champion as Red, as well as his younger self, from all those years ago. From there it seemed that Lance finally found his true purpose, something to be proud of, helping pave the way and inspire a new generation of champions, and it’s noticeable when you see Dragonite intentionally missing his shot for Typhlosion to take the win for all battles he went thru to finally reach that moment.

The shear amount of original sprites that were coloured and used in this animation is astronomic. Take 21:05 for example: The behind and front sprites for both charizard and typhlosion from their respective games. Just beautiful!
One of Lance's under leveled Dragonite: DIE YOU BLOOD RED MORON That Dragonite again: here gold. Take the dead fish Gold: I mean. That was literally over kill but ok
Okay I'm about to make a storyline out of this so here we go. In the beginning Professor Oak wants to know all about pokemon and be a professional scientist of pokemon. Years later he creates the pokedex and gives two copies to his grandson Blue and his rival/best friend Red to see if they can complete the pokedex. Blue eventually reaches the pokemon league and becomes league CHAMP. But right after the fact, Red soon defeats Lance and reaches Blue. Shocked and yet amazed at Blue's accomplishment, he challenges Blue to one last fight. The battle between the two trainers becomes intense as the elite 4 watch from the other room wondering who will win the battle. Eventually Red defeats Blue and becomes the new league CHAMP. Professor Oak comes to congratulate his grandson for his achievement, but soon after discovering that Red defeated Blue, he scolds Blue for not nurturing his pokemon and giving them proper care. However Oak praises Red for becoming league CHAMP leaving Blue emotionally scarred (I'm trying to give Blue as much mercy as possible) Now Red sets his pokemon and himself I'm the Pokémon league hall of fame, still continuing his journey to complete the pokedex. Lance soon meets up with Oak after placing Red's portrait next to his for reaching CHAMP status, thanking him for the marvelous trainers he had sent out. Lance soon goes on a short break from elite 4 status to run errands and pay his respects to his master's Dragonite. Lance soon becomes impressed on how Red stays on top of the league single handedly wipes out any challenger who faces him. After a long day of keeping his title, Red decides to give Lance an egg holding a baby Charmander, after his Charizard and another pokemon (my guess being a dragonite he caught) breed and lays the egg. Lance would soon go on to having a partial retirement with his new baby charmander. About 3 years later after Red's journey a young arrogant trainer named Ethan (liking to be called Gold) start's his journey to be the very best and takes his starter Cyndaquill. Ethan notices a strange boy looking into the lab, so he goes outside to investigate. The boy simply pushes him away not realizing this would soon be his rival. Ethan eventually meets Mr. Pokémon and Professor Oak receiving the mysterious egg. The egg soon hatches to be a Togepi, a rare Pokémon not yet studied. Badge after badge, Ethan takes each badge for his own before reaching Clair's gym. Meanwhile with Lance he raises his baby Charmamder evolving it into a Charizard, and receiving to more dragonites. But his cousin Clair reunites with him and the two spend the day catching up with each other, until Clair's radio picks up a signal saying that team rocket has returned and are on the hunt for former leader Giovanni. Lance soon takes action to this and finds Ethan battling a shiny Gyarados. Soon enough Ethan and Lance join forces to take down team rocket. Ethan and Lance soon stop team rocket's plans and disables the twisted radio frequencies. Lance thanks Ethan giving him Hm 06 saying that they will meet again. But Lance gets a call from indigo plateau saying that Red has gone missing. The elite 4 are soon scared by and start searching for the league CHAMP, especially of the fact that Red left nothing but a note holding mere dots. They ask the gym leaders of Kanto if they had seen Red and to keep a good eye out for him. They ask Oak and Blue if Red returned to Pallet town, but the two Oaks hadn't seen him. Professor Oak soon becomes worried for the missing trainer as blue just turns his head secretly in worry for his friend/rival since babies. Lance soon tells his mother and she falls into a depression worried for her son. Ethan's rival Silver enters the Pokémon league believing that Pokémon are just tools for battle, which causes his downfall after losing to Lance. Ethan soon reaches to the Pokémon league and battles Lance. At the near end of the battle Lance receives flashbacks of receiving his first Pokémon Dratini. Ethan soon feels the same for Typhlosion when he first received him as a cyndaquill. Ethan barely manages to defeat Lance and becomes league CHAMP. Ethan informs Lance that he is going to Kanto, but before leaving, Lance tells Ethan to keep an eye out for Red. Ethan scoffs it off as he heads toward region 1. As Ethan rides a ship to Kanto, Red fly's over head on his Articuno seeing the next gen of pokemon trainers simply smiling. Ethan soon enough reaches kanto collecting gym badges with ease. Blue see's this trainer from Johto and challenges him at his gym in Varidian city. Blue takes a tremendous defeat like the one he took against Red in the Pokémon league. Ethan soon hear the rumors of Red possibly being at mt.silver, so Ethan investigates at the mountain. Red is found standing at the top of silver and Ethan challenges him underestimating Red. Red and Ethan are evenly matched and reach their last pokemon. As charizard is thrown to the ground, he looks into his trainers eyes remembering what the two went through, like a father and son relationship. Charizard gains the will to keep fighting Typhlosion. But with the smallest chance, Ethan defeats Red. Red flys over head of Kanto as Brock, Misty, and Blue see him smiling, knowing he has returned. Red returns to Pallet receiving invitations for championships across the world. Red and his mother soon reunite and Red tell her all about his adventures. A year later Red and Ethan have a rematch on top of Mt.silver leaving the fight at a stale mate. Red, Blue, and Ethan go on to continue their journey as pokemon masters. 30 years later, Blue takes place as Pokémon professor, Red soon lives with his now unbeatable legendary, mythical, and unknown pokemon. And Ethan lives a normal life, having a trip down memory lane after discovering an old chest of his belongings as a kid. Then Ethan goes off to live the rest of his life. Well that's my storyline, if I missed anything please tell me in the replies and leave a like while you're at it
Feels amazing revisiting this, both as a compilation of nostalgic passion filled animations that still hold up, and as the foundation for the groundbreaking series you’ve made and continuing to make.
The best part about this anime is that you've given more backstory about the trainers and really filled those plot holes!!! It's much better than the previous one you made before!!👏
I remember first seeing is on Facebook on someone's post or page and fell in love with it. You got to continue it with all the other generational Pokemon involved. Would love to see how all those turned out and how the connection continues with the first two generation of Pokemon
Red had more character progression in this video than Ash in 20+ years Edit: Heard the news that Ash became world champion. Just to be clear despite that my criticism with the anime and Ash's character progression still stand. I mean it took him 25 years while we have Red here who took a W in his first try. It's a game changing moment sure but not enough to save an already ruined anime.
This hit me in the feelings so hard, especially the ending. As someone who has a lot of passion for Pokémon and feels like the franchise has lost its way ever since its jump to the Nintendo Switch, this really makes me emotional. Even though the series that I once loved has become a shell of its former self, the memories will never die. Pokémon will still hold a special place in my heart and I only pray that this series will find its way back to the greatness I know it has the potential of being. Thank you for creating such a beautiful work of art.
While I agree that Sword and Shield were... not soulful, to say the least... We still have our memories, and our love for the series. With fans like Pedro Araujo here, I believe the heart of Pokémon will live on, either in the hands of the creators, or at least in the hearts of the people who love it.~ P.S. In my personal opinion, honestly I feel that Legends: Arceus is a pretty good and comfortable new direction for Pokémon.~
For me is because I relived the story so much that I understand everything that's going on. This man just reimagined in his own way tho similar he adds more depth and slightly different scenarios. It truly brings out the nostalgics.
All the little details you've added do such a good job of fleshing everything out, and they all feel fitting which is even more impressive. Phenomenal videos
Seunghwan An It’s not the same. The original games are something that can never be created as of the nostalgia. The sound when you boot up the game boy color and it says “Game boy color” is something that can’t be lived on a website or fanmade game like pokemon planet.
Ok I thought this was AMAZING I loved this series before when they were posted and seeing them again all together in one vid was AWESOME to see and i dont know about anyone else but the end legit almost made me cry :p
He SAW them all first red caught them all first the catch data is oaks field research or does everyone assume that catching magically fills the dex with info
@@rogernelson5688 I wasn't thinking of that in my entire life. Well, I was thinking "where this data is coming from"? But never got the idea about Oak. Thanks, man
Well in the Pokemon origins series they only knew of 149 Pokemon then after Red caught em all they heard of a powerful Pokemon which was Mewtwo which Red caught then he realized that mew must exist if it has a copy so Oak only discovered 149 Pokemon.
So I was going to bed and this popped up in my recommendations and till I reached the end of this video tears started rolling down. My good old days. Respect to the creator.
Thank you for making such a fantastic video, it gives me so much nostalgia to go back and look at this. I looked at Ethan seeing his past as a child, and I could not help crying. Thank you so much.

Dude thank you so much for making this, i'm legitimately crying right now. The way you captured the essence of the Gen I games was so touching, you really kept true to the way they were and are, it's the first time i see such a beautifully made animation that captures Gen I as close as how i feel about it, many say it's a bad game just because of it's flaws but it's actually the good things and the flaws of Generation I that make it such an unforgettable generation, that and the fact that it was the beginning of everything and the Pokémon game that many of us first played and grew up with. Thank you truly
@@billy-the-butcher Absolutely agreed. I have read the Gen 1 and 2 manga and it's amazing. Red and Gold were awesome, and so was Yellow. The rivals and female protagonists were also great.
I feel bad for blue and i know why everyone not talking about blue crying after lose by red because is ego you know if You play pokemon red or firered blue characteristic was like ego and that why everyone does not like Him (almost)

So glad I grew up with this. Scenes like these were the ones i imagined in my head while playing on the gameboy to make it even more fun. Can you imagine being a kid and your first pokemon game is sword and shield?🤦🏻♂️😢
I know they actually cant expirience the things we did... BUT ALSO TBH IMAGINE BEING A BROKE ASS LIKE ME WHO NEVER HAD THE MONEY TO GET A POKEMON GAME SO IDECIDED TO PLAY FAN GAMES AND THAT WAS TBH THE BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE
I didn't grew up with the static 2d games but as someone who grew up with gen 5 which was a pretty soft reboot to gen 1, I know the feeling of being spoiled. Though as a game I still appreciate how most of the Pokemon games hold up really well.
Love that you call him Ethan! And at 13:02, I love that you promote the Pokémon Timeline! And Ethan with Ho-oh is hype. Ho-oh is so underrated. Nice to see some love for it!
@@jayanrayshanruben3263 They are equals. Arceus is the god of all pokémon and created the universe, while Missingno can reset the universe by crashing your game.
This is how the show should be! The Pokémon actually have emotion! The stories add up! The fights are actual fights, (without being too graphic, so it would still pass 😂.) Even with no dialogue, the story is easy to follow and well put together. If this had dialog and longer episodes, it would be the new official Pokemon series in my opinion.
Technically we don't know as Lance purposefully lost but they are going by the games so Gold beat Lance and Red bc Red had to max revive his charizard to leave
I admit, the first one with Oak building the Pokedex over his life of research was both heartwarming and inspiring. Prof. Oak is amazing.

The shear amount of original sprites that were coloured and used in this animation is astronomic.
Take 21:05 for example: The behind and front sprites for both charizard and typhlosion from their respective games. Just beautiful!
=)
14:48 I got Goosebumps, this shows beyond the games rather than just fighting, becoming champion this have a lot of personality,No words to appreciate
10:54 Lol, that was hilarious.
It was like
"Here's your Gyarados, Ethan. He's dead though, but take him anyway."
Dragonite: DIE!
1 sec later: Here take his corpse
Gold: Uhh... A bit Overkill but ok
One of Lance's under leveled Dragonite: DIE YOU BLOOD RED MORON
That Dragonite again: here gold. Take the dead fish
Gold: I mean.
Well that's my storyline, if I missed anything please tell me in the replies and leave a like while you're at it
This is awesome! Only correction I'd make is that Lance and Clair are cousins.
This is underrated as frick

Feels amazing revisiting this, both as a compilation of nostalgic passion filled animations that still hold up, and as the foundation for the groundbreaking series you’ve made and continuing to make.
The best part about this anime is that you've given more backstory about the trainers and really filled those plot holes!!! It's much better than the previous one you made before!!👏

Red had more character progression in this video than Ash in 20+ years
Edit: Heard the news that Ash became world champion.

With fans like Pedro Araujo here, I believe the heart of Pokémon will live on, either in the hands of the creators, or at least in the hearts of the people who love it.~
