You can apply wipe-on-poly over clearcoat, or wetsand it gently and apply more clear.

I like it. Using ink art on the pickguard and headstock was a really nice touch.

Loved the technique that you used but let me ask you something. I have a similar machine that u used and can you use it to make that "gap" to put biding on the guitar?

    •  3 года назад

yes, that'll work. You just need the right router bit to do it.

Dude, I love the pickguard. Top & back looks pretty good too.
But what did you do to the back of the neck... 😢😢😭😭
😉honestly, to each their own, looks great though, how does it play?

    •  3 года назад +1

xD well, more often than not, when doing a fancy paint job on a guitar, chances are that it already looked great with the wood being left all natural.
The guitar plays really great, it's one of my favorites. Just the string trees that were needed for the reverse headstock, make the tuning stability a bit worse than on other guitars.

according to me you're neck was beautiful asis...

    •  4 года назад +1

indeed it was. I should have made 2 guitars, leaving one in the natural walnut

Left handed neck on a right handed guitar?

    •  3 года назад

yes, or rather it's a right handed "reverse headstock", otherwise the pre installed nut would be the wrong way around

I admire your work and i really like your Channel but, to be honest, i don't think it turned out all that good this time :/ Also it's a shame cause that wood was gorgeous

if I could do it all over again, there are a few details that I'd do differently. But overall, I'm very happy and I've learned a lot :)
