The wall was there from 1961-1989. Your Jacket is from on of the Souldiers who stood in front of the wall.

I was a punk/freak/goth when I was a teenager back in the 90s (yeah, I am an old shit) and I would hit up thrift shops all the damn time. I would get flannels from the mens section and alter them, cut holes and attach ribbons and safety pins and shit and make them look different. I was too poor for patches (the only patches I could find in shops were 10 bucks and up) vs I could get a roll of ribbon for a buck or 2 at Walmart. I would also take them to art class and alter them there with paints and shit. Did the same thing to a pair of jeans and paint splattered them. Ya just gotta use your creativity and use what you can get your hands on. I had a friend who was obsessed with coke (the pop not the drug, thought I DID also have some friends who were druggies. Don't do drugs, kids!) and they had red pop tabs for a good long while. She would collect the pop tabs and attach them to everything. She made pants chains and necklaces. All sorts of shit using those damn pop tabs.
