Great video series. Do to a very "sluggish" electrical department i've started doing the electrical design for skids i design/build and this series has been very helpful. Thanks ControlFreak

Man that is awesome! I am glad my videos helped you out. That is my goal, to share what knowledge I have. There used to be not alot of IDEC stuff on youtube. I struggled at first, trying to learn IDEC. So, I figured I might help some others with what I learned. I like hearing good stuff like that. Keep watching.

Very helpful explanation - thanks. The IDEC tutorial shows an analog input icon, but that doesn't seem to exist in WindLDR v8. This works great.

So your way was much easier, really appreciate it. Appreciate the shout out as well! Using the PID control alarm contacts works but was a pain and if you dont have an analog output you have to kind disregard some of the PID instructions, plus calculate the hysteresis of the alarm contacts, etc. By the way I may have just landed a job with a SCADA team and I really have you and your videos to thank for helping me. If you're ever in Michigan lunch is on me!

Your videos have been very helpful, Is there a compare function in WindLDR instruction to check or compare a voltage to turn on a switch. I want to change the state of a switch on the PLC when it reads more than 5VDC

Been a while since I have been able to dig into a plc. But, I am pretty sure there is an =>, =

Do you have a video showing using an analog input and output? For example, read in the analog input, apply a scaling factor to it then drive the analog output.

Yes, I have a video that shows setting up a Yaskawa drive on 4-20ma. I think that is what your looking for. Or, are you talking about a PID? I am working on getting the stuff together for a PID video.

Could you help with turning on and off say input below 2 turn on and above 6 turn off . Using either a 4-20 or modbus.

4-20 is the easiest way. Need to set your range 1-10. Then use les than or equal to, and greater than or equal to. Let me get to my computer this evening, ill try and crank out a video.
