Is it possible to roll a ring like that, where it has a slight cone shape? Not a lot of degrees, but just slight tilt? I'm learning to do metal hoops for wooden barrels.
Hi CarholicBG, you can roll sheet metal into a cylinder but are limited to a certain diameter. With my slip roller the rollers are 60mm in diameter so the smallest I could probably form a cylinder down to would be around 70mm. Also thickness of the sheet metal is restricted to 1.6mm but with a small piece I could roll 2mm.
I bought my slip roller from this link at Paramount Browns. Its rated to roll 2mm mild steel and I think its a great unit for a small workshop. www.paramountbrowns.com.au/products/slip-roller-1250-x-2-0mm-pedestal/
Found finally good video of this, thank you

Hi, as far as I can see you could form a perfect tube with a slip roller. Is this correct?

Thanks for the video. I'm planning to purchase a roller. What brand is that?
