Damn I've been fighting with the strut tower ground with my booster for 2 days now and it won't go. I'll try the engine ground tonight and see if it pops the trunk. I've a RHD so the positive hooks up a little differently UNDER the cowel as opposed to your connection which is in the engine bay. Lets hope that works.
I'll leave my solution here for others. My battery had run really down and it wasn't a ground issue. In my case, engine ground didn't work either. So I left the Ctek hooked for 3 hours using the strut tower as ground as cables weren't long enough to find a different ground. It actually charged the battery from here, enough to get power to the trunk to pop it open. People recommended all sorts of things like using a plunger to suck the rear tail light out and access battery that way, emergency boot release behind right rear seat (didnt work for me). But this method sounded least risky to me and it worked. Thank the good lord!
@@paulochiang3658 last time all I did was hook to the auxiliary and it started. I had no idea there were two batteries until I did this one. I'm learning. The next one will be flawless.
Nah bro thats not how you do it .... hook the nuetral up to the main battery left side looking from the rear ... hook up the Positive to the smaller starter battery done... to pop the trunk there is a handle in the back on mine 2005 push down and your in without all the under bonnet faffing around simple but im in the UK 🤔

I was wondering which battery to jump.. The answer is BOTH. Interesting. I'll buy a second jumpstarter.
you can jump it with just hooking the main with your jumpstarter
I thought so. No need to hook to the auxiliary battery at all right?
@@roadsideguy5902 yes, it is a 12V system, only hook up the main it starts
