My son turns 18 soon and will be taking his first professional MMA fight, he wanted to go to Thailand and train first, thanks for this video, It made our choice easy..
Hey, Brad! Am loving every minute of your tour and experience here at Phuket Top Team on Fitness Street. And the healthy food alternatives as well! Appreciate your valuable tips and recommendations. Hope to go there soon!
thanks Brian! Let me know if and when you decide to come out here to fitness paradise :-)
The bjj class is great here!
Although the Muay thai class is absolutely stuffed with people.. it was chaotic, I didn't know what was happening half the time, and they used whistles to guide us around. I felt like a confused dog learning new tricks.
Oh you mean the group classes are overcrowded? I've never done the group classes there (just the private). I remember my first few Muay Thai classes in Bangkok years ago and how lost I felt. I was completely clueless!!!
Yeah way to many people in the group classes in my opinion, if I ever come back I will opt for the private lessons too I think.
I was a beginner in muay thai too so I guess that didn't help :)
what a nice bloke, thanks for the video mate, your great infront of the cam
No problems!
Beautiful gym.
It is brother... I cannot wait to go back there for a few more sessions!
Thanks for the tour. I'll probably train there when I visit Thailand.
You'll love it... they have accommodation onsite too
I’m thinking of doing the gap year at Phuket top team they’re offering one year of training with accommodations for a really good price wonder what anyones thoughts are!
Do it... but I'd also keep an open mind to what other gyms are offering on Fitness street. Also check out Singha, Dragon and Rattachai
@@BradNewton thanks for the info I really want to do 6-12 months im not in the greatest shape right now what do you think I should start to work on from now to get ready for it I’m thinking mostly skipping and running? I’m absolutely terrible at skipping but running I know I could start slowly and work my way up
@M Frank S honestly, it's not essential to prep before going unless you are a professional fighter that's about to start fight camp. If you wanted to, jogging, skip rope and perhaps some F45 style training. At top team, you'll usually start with doing a 5km jog before class starts.
@@BradNewton I understand what your saying but i also want to leave Thailand having taken advantage of every opportunity possible and not miss anything just because I didn’t take a few months to get into better shape before I leave for vacation. I know going there for half to a full year won’t turn me into rodtang but I’d like to comeback a different person. I have trouble putting it into words.
@M Frank S then do some prep. With or without prep, 6 to 12 months is enough to see a dramatic transformation in technique, conditioning, speed, agility etc.
Dear, how much does it cost for a full month training PTT
it's about 11,000 Thai Baht a month. Check their website. I only did privates at PTT.
@@BradNewton does that include housing food water utility and rides?
@@arturocastillejos73 no only training
Highly recommended gym. The instructors are very professionals and the atmosphere is really good.
If you are looking to book for condos or villas to stay near this gym , you can visit my Phuket holiday rental page at airbnb.com/h/savvy-holidays-2 or airbnb.com/h/saturdays.
thanks for that Andy.
