HUGE help seeing the wires all connected in the back of the unit! It wasnt clear to me from just the directions alone. Thanks for taking the time to share this!
This really looks great, and works amazing. Just goes to show how simple the screen upgrades can be while still maintaining a better built older truck and engine. The new Toyotas really have been a disappointment.
When I’m connected to carplay and say “hey siri…” the head unit acts as Siri in that moment. I actually don’t want it to be activated, I’d rather my phone but I haven’t looked into changing that in settings.
Did you mic part? My truck already has that feature so feel like don't need. But not sure. Also, the usb, is that do run outside of unit to plug stuff in? Does the USB i have already still work?
The nav that comes through appla car play is going to be as fast and good as your phone. So way better. XM, I’m not sure personally. I’ve never used XM I think once in my whole life. Wish I could be more help with the XM.
Not sure about factory but I have remote start from Start X (doesn’t shut off when you open the door) and it works fine with it. The head unit doesn’t turn until you put your key in the ignition though. I think that’s true of the factory head unit as well.
If they would only make it compatible with a siriusxm tuner, and no the Siriusxm app is a PITA and defeats the purpose of having actual satellite reception.
This radio is garbage...installed in my tundra in Nov 24....worked good for 2 months...then screen started going black! Didi all the stupid troubleshooting and still crap! Returned and got a Kenwood...lesson learned!
Thanks for checking out this video! Links are in the description if you’d like to check out the product. You can get a Dasaita for almost any Toyota!

I have a Dasaita in my 2017 4Runner Limited, absolutely a must have upgrade.
Yeah Toyota didn’t decide to join the 2000s until about 2021 lol

Please in a few months give us a “long term” review I’m really curious
you’ve got me scratching my head now. was set on the 11 inch alpine, but this is so much cheaper. can you add extra cameras to this one?
Yes you can add a front camera , this unit has a real time front & rear camera view
Where did you connect that ground cable to?
I see you didn't hook up the Bluetooth. Mic does the factory mics still work for Bluetooth
Do you recommend this brand or joying?
How did your off-road overhead lights work through your radio?
Bluetooth to my garmin power switch. Works on my phone app which works on my radio.
entune stereos should be a recall item..
Why’s that?
Having issues getting it to turn on, everything is plugged in…not sure what I’m doing wrong? Is yours a 20+?
Did you ever get your to work for the 2020 / 2021 Tundra?
Not sure if you have voice control on your Tundra, but if you do, are you able to activate Siri using a long press?

hey, does this head unit have the output plugs for an aftermarket amp and sub? need to upgrade my head unit in my tundra
Thanks for the video! Do you know if WAZE works on this unit? Is there an HDMI port?
Yes Waze works with CarPlay. There was an HDMI port that you could use but I don’t use it so I didn’t install it.

Thanks for the video. Have you found a way to get youtube to work, or any kind of screen mirroring?
I never figured it out. It’s a CarPlay thing but I still can’t figure out without buying other products.
what about keeping XM radio and nav?
how well does the nav apps work compared to stock nav?

XM not included in the Dasaita. I use it on my phone instead, which is available as a carplay app. minor inconvience
Is it true that installing this unit prevents you from using the remote start? I'll be installing it on a 17 Tundra.
