I think 2 star weapons are sometimes underrated. I got a very powerful 2 star Tesla rifle (2 shot, 50% more crit damage) from someone's vendor the other day and it melts through a lot of enemies. If you're rolling the same item over and over, sometimes the third star isn't worth the modules or cores you're burning through.

Bethesda needs to make weapons ACCOUNT bound instead of character bound. Like they do with ESO. Something useless on one character should be transferrable to another character as long as it’s still the same account…

Level 28 or so on a new character on PC (I play on PS5 usually for the last year) well, got a Handmade and decided to roll my first stars ever on PC and add some legendary stats, ended up with a nearly (or minor?) godroll... Vampire's, Explosive, +15 VATS Crit Charge Handmade. Too bad I rolled that on a level 25 weapon, but at level 42 now it is still quite useful, probably will be for a while.

I didn't realize 2 shot reduced the damage of each bullet so much. That's barely any extra damage just an accuracy debuff. I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw the numbers side by side.

It's 25% extra damage, as stated by the effect. So you take the base effect, multiply it by 1.25, then divide that figure by 2. That's how 2 shot works. And there's no accuracy or recoil penalty in vats. And it's a good effect for the gauss pistol. I'd love a 2 shot crit damage crit charge gauss pistol. 2 shot is pretty much the best effect you can get on the gauss minigun. Maybe bloodied would be better on low health, idk, i don't play low health. But 2 shot applies to the projectile and the explosion, so it's like a double buff. That's why 2 shot is generall only considered good on explosive weapons or normal weapons that have explosive as the second star

@@beastabuelos6421 I have a two shot gauss pistol actually. The number of times only one bullet hits is a lot more then you'd think

@@beastabuelos6421 not all the time. Usually I like to go for headshots w/out so it's not really good for my play style. Id rather not have to rely on vats for it to be usable. Probably be much better off with an aristocrats or something

@@heliotarra yea 2 shot is definitely a vats effect for a single shot weapon. I'd recommend you try it to see though. Otherwise yea, aristocrats, anti armor, bloodied would be better

I tried to make a decent gauss pistol a few days ago. I just can't deal with the amount of time it misses in VATS.

It's better to craft one and reroll it. I recommend testing the 2 shot you got. You may be pleasantly surprised

Not really. You can scrip the ones you don't want. Materials are a non factor.
