- Rodney and Dr. Keller head back to Earth to watch his frenemy fail to save the planet, and match wits with Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye. The kind of description that requires no joke.
I think you point out an important distinction and why McKay is more likable than some egomaniacs, because he does not love himself, he loves what he does and what he can do. I haven't watched the series, but he seems to, in the clips I've seen, mostly brag about abilities and accomplishments, not just acting as if the very act of his existence makes him a superior being.
That's true. If anything, McKay often demonstrates self esteem issues when it comes to anything EXCEPT his scientific feats.
The antagonist is so much of a El0n it's hilarious. Almost precursor.
Is Chuck mentioning his patrons? because I am seriously confused as to who all of his credits refer to on any of his videos.
He used to only name one-off requesters or subscription tiers, like "The Janeway", "The Emperor"or "The Senate" etc.
But Chuck is now naming one-off requesters as well as his Patreons by name when they agree to it.
It's all very confusing to have it "explained" without context, that's for sure. I don't know what any of it means, so it wasn't clarifying at all the be told why it was happening. At any rate, I'm glad to get this review. It was an enjoyable episode. :D
I love Dave Foley, Newsradio is one of my all time favorites.
I forgot how skinny Momoa used to be. I suppose 'lean' is the correct term, but he looks like a string bean compared to how jacked up he'd be when he became a star.
Always a pleasure to see Jewel
04:46 I see Brexit was even more successful in this universe, even took Australia and New Zealand along for the ride. Guess Canada didn't want to be part of the reconstituted Third British Empire...
*IN SPAAAAACE!!*
I always liked this episode.
It's fun to see the impact the stargate project had on the earth
I geeked out when this episode came out. I grew up on Bill Nye
Can't say I ever looked at the names of the patrons or that I even knew one of them was dubbed the Klingon Emperor, but I like this episode so I'm glad the screwup gave us this review.
I figured the motivation to bring a date was so he wouldn’t be tempted to spill the beans and too look successful.
There was a time I thought this would be the low point on Bill Nye's career. Time makes fools of us all.
What do you now think is his low is?
@@smith22041 Pretty much all of his newer Netflix series.
@Swiftbow why?
@@QoS230 Because he stopped being about science and instead started preaching the climate change gospel. Anyone who says "the science is settled" is not practicing science.
He also became a strong advocate of baby murder, which is, well... yeah.
I bet she could rebuild the ship's engine for him.
Thanks Chuck!
At least Nye's and Tyson's cameos have aged a lot better than Elon's in Ironman 2.
Elon would really want to be friends with Iron man if they existed in the same universe. Always trying to make it seem like the two are friends in posts and always replying to his tweets with the cry laugh emoji
Elon Musk is a Goa'uld in the Stargate universe.
Nye's has aged a LOT worse.
@@sargon6000 nah, even a Goa'uld couldn't stand possessing the guy
Neil calling out Rodney for his lack of peer reviewed papers?! Neil hasn't done a 1st author paper since the 90s. He barely did any even when he was in school. U.T. flunked him for good reasons.
So, nope, hasn't aged well for Neil.
I loved this episode when I watched it! It was a hoot!
Its not the worst episode of Atlantis but its really close to the bottom. Even the description of the episode sounds like a bad fanfic
At least it was entertaining to watch.
I think the worst episode of Atlantis was the one with the "Irresistible" guy. Not only for the insufferably annoying character and the implications for the female characters, but also because they used THAT episode to resolve the long running plot with Colya. It was a travesty.
