I used to buy laptops with the Intel x86 CPU that got so hot the laptop would turn off by itself in the middle of my work. It got so bad that I used to put ice cubes wrapped in a towel underneath the laptop.
Currently using an ARM64 Snapdragon PC. AMAZED at how well it works. AMAZED at the software which runs on it. Almost everything runs perfectly on it. The emulation is incredibly good and software converted to native is several times better than the x64 equivalent. Processing power is better and the battery life is insane! Also, running games which are compatible (Diablo IV) run very good. (I do not do much gaming on the laptop). I see no reason for Intel to succeed in the future. Lunar Lake is a HUGE dissapointment.
"I see no reason for Intel to succeed in the future" is a bad take. The more competition there is between AMD, Intel, Apple, and Qualcomm, the more we benefit. I mean, just look at what happened to the GPU space with Nvidia.
@@zojirushi-rice-cooker You mean how nVidia now basically owns 90% of the entire market? Competition really does not exist in a single platform generation. Now, nothing wrong with a generational switch ever now and then. However, if you look at Apple, from Motorola, to PowerPC, to Intel to ARM, there is almost 0% compatibility with older software forcing users to upgrade hardware and abandon software on a regular basis - i.e. the primary reason I will NEVER own an Apple product!

That’s wild!

I am currently a fence sitter. I still have x64 computer, but most of my activities are in RK3588.
ARM sounds good until you need some work to be done.
not really as I said in the video I use it daily as my main work laptop and it's fantastic, but it really depends of your user case scenario
