- Hello everyone,
Today we have Jessie and his awesome Datsun 280z! The first time he saw the body lines of these Old School JDM legend was at a show. He has been supported by his parents to pursue his passion to build his car. I am glad that he took the courage on taking the challenge on building an older car. We understand that older cars can be a bit more expensive and requires more attention. We absolutely love Datsuns and what Jessie has done for it! I appreciate the support for #automotiveanatomy

Back in the 70s if you owned anything Japanese, you were and outsider/trader because of what Japan did to the US in WW2. Killer car !

Great build. Swapping these cars now , with values CLIMBING.
I mean in 2020 with all the up heaval in the World the Datsun Z has leaped in value, leaped... Yes 240's but the 260+280's are still in the style of the 240 and in the small S30 family. All S30 Z cars climb when the 240Z climbs
Enjoy it. I'd take it easy paint the engine compartment to match the exterior don't black it out. Make all interior surfaces color like the outside. Enjoy the car with a mild motor ( so it lasts )
Stock brakes work good enough for racing with good brake pads and shoes. Good enough for the street.you already have the rest enjoy it.
Unfortunately the trans gave out,RB Swap is in full effect now lol

Them 240 never caught my eye back then but now they fire. Shot out to homie anyway. The back stories are always good to me especially the hunt for the car.
Yes im an old cat and wish coulda predict which car was gonna be worth $ cause I've own a few of them. Funny when i tell ppl what I've own cause ppl don't get they only worth money now back then they were 250$ cars lol

The guy the i use to work with had 3 280Z masdas ..n a hindue came fro new your n gat then 3cars ..from NY to HOUSTON .he sold it. 4G's a pice ...the guy left all happy ...they good i droved one ..n yes i did burned rubber ..

That color is amazing. When i spray mine it will be Ametrin Metallic (BMW), which is a little brighter than this.
