Sinner and alcaraz are great, but man these two in their prime (plus Roger) were really something else.
Bro tennis reached pinnacle at goat era
It won't be the same. Now just mortals play
Sinner and Alcaraz aren't in their prime yet. And they're both better than the big 3 were at their age, saying that as a tennis fan not a big 3 fan, though I love the big 3 also.
@@shahedulislam94true,nostalgia is hell of a drug
@@shahedulislam94No sabes lo que dices.
@@shahedulislam94Nole and Rafa were better than them during this age
If the big three played today, Sinner and Alcaraz would remain only talented players. Behind the big three are unreal records, they all have their own records and they played together in one era. How much effort was needed to win something just among them. Just to remind you, 10 years in a row, no one but Andy Murray won the GS once (1), the rest are all the big three. that will never happen again. It is a great honor for me to have had the privilege to be a part of that golden era, which I repeat NEVER to repeat. Even in 100 years they will be talking about these guys (Djokovic, Nadal, Federer). Thank you for everything. After you, tennis will never be the same again.
As a Djokovic fan, with Alcaraz it would have been the big 4
@@stefanapostolovski5481 Very possible, but against these three and several other top players who played, it would be difficult to win anything. The very fact that for 10 years in a row every GS was won by tennis players from the big three except for one won by Andy Murray says it all. And the very fact that he won at the age of 21, he won the GS and the final of the Olympic Games, says that he has no competition. I really don't know how he would fare against the big three. And the fact that Novak beats him at the age of 37 says it all. If he had appeared when the big three were in top form, I don't think he would have had anything to look for in tournaments. That's my opinion. And Novak entered the fight with Nadal and Federer as a super talented player, so he waited a long time for his first GS. When Novak won the first GS, Nadal had 7 and Federer 16, but Novak learned from every defeat, trained a lot, gave up everything to win and of course his recognizable mentality. And started towards the path of victory and conquest of the torofej, which was not at all easy, and now he is where he is. Alcaraz doesn't have that. I'm not saying they won't win more trophies, but this era can't be compared to that era.
Nah, alcaraz absolutely would have been up there. He's at a higher level now than all of then were at his age.
¡Simplemente Grande Rafa! 😍😍😍💯💯💯💯💯💯👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love how respectfull tennis fan base is, i never see much hate comments, respect guys keep it like that
Prime Djokovic is crazy tennis tv. 2009 was one of his worst seasons on tour. 😂
Don’t mess with Rafa.
Jeu sur terre , incroyable
The master of clay .
Once again Djoc been schooled by a true Great
Hois back hand is so good
Ese es el mejor tenista del mundo 💪🏽
This is not prime Djokovic, but it is prime Nadal
I remember back on 2011 , Rafa really had a hard time beating Novak . Imagine losing 5 consecutive finals.
MAN NADAL PRIME IS WHEN HE JUMP NET HIGH WITH WITH PUMPING 💪 AFTER WINNING AN UNBELIEVABLE POINT FROM THE BRINK 😅
Hola jugadores de la tierra batida.Nuestro Nadal ainda es el grande!Jugas mucho!
Yeah he was gutted. Losing the point after playing all that rally is painful lol.
not prime djokovic
2011 was prime Djokovic
Djokovic at his absolute best
neither of them in their prime, yet incredible rally
That’s not even remotely close to prime Djokovic
Obviously you confuse prime with peak. It doesn't make any difference though, peak or no peak Djokovic, Nadal always destroyed him on clay when healthy.
@@alexpopa5436XD sure always when Nadal lost, it was because he was not fit

We can Know from this strong era who is the real GOAT = Rafael Nadal 👑💪🔥
Bravo Joker
it is like they are playing in slow-mo compared to how fast today's games are
This is not prime Djokovic ,but its still great point !
Novak seemed to be the only player who wasn't phased by Rafa's fh on clay. His timing was faultless and he played it almost like a normal shot. The rest of the sport simply couldn't handle it.
unreal.😮
Nadal was unkilleable I swear. In my eyes the best tennis player I have seen, but I am not an expert or regular follower.
Gods of Tennis. 💐🙏💐
it was before the DropShot Meta :D
Some say this rally still continues today.
❤Carlos sooooooo would have gotten THAT!!!!! ❤😮
Why is he moaning like that
Playing Nadal on clay was bad enough, but Nadal injury-free and in his prime? You’d need a superhuman effort to beat him.
And even that wouldn't do it...
You need prime federer
@@Chrismay-qp4xj Prime Federer got bageled in 08 RG final...

@@Sad_cule doesn’t matter what u think, it’s facts . No one could beat him on clay in his prime
That's right, only Tom Cruise could beat him
@@mrnicewatch8877
Not even soderling
Djokovic did everything perfect in this point and it still wasn't enough...played to his backhand, whenever he switched to nadal's forehand he played an uncomfortable shot so nadal couldn't hit a winner, came forward superbly and at the right moment...nadal is just superhuman on clay. Just wow
Not really perfect. The BH after he got a short ball after several good FH wasn't deep enough, still had a chance to fix it with the volley and the volley as decent as it was it wasn't enough against the speed demon that Nadal was at the time.
But it does show one thing - Djokovic's absolute lack of fear to engage in rallies ON CLAY, with Nadal. No other player was ever comfortable doing that, as you pretty much get dragged to death if you play by his rules.
And that ability surely resulted in a lot of success on clay, more than any other player can claim against Nadal. Nadal ended up with a 20-8 lead on clay, which is actually a smidgen LESS dominant that Djokovic vs Nadal on HC, where the H2H is 20-7.
Your point about Nadal on clay still stands, easily the most dominant player on any surface, by far. He was a monster. I mean just the RG record, 14 titles, a win-loss record of 112-4 (like wtf?). Insane numbers.
Yeah but now Novak is the greatest ever not in tennis best athlete ever
@Mikri90 yeah agreed, i mean sure the balls can always be a lil bit better but he's done superbly well in that point and nadal still won...also i like your argument very well articulated 👍👍
@@mohdshoyab9563 Michael Jordan 😂😂😂😂
Beautiful discerption
Nadal on clay is THE greatest challenge of all time
It's near impossible to win against him. I still can't believe Nadal made this point.
Nadal is the greatest clay court player ever and it isn't particularly close.
Of course not, who else comes close?
@@patrickswamps It's not exactly close but Borg did win the French Open 6 times. On the men's side that's as close as it gets.
@@thevinisoDjoker could easily have more than 6 if Nadal didn’t exist lol he’s the only one who could even be competitive with him
@@benyoung9189 In such a world Roger would also have at least 5 titles, which would make things even blurrier.

That demonic Foot speed.....the deal with the devil seems to now be over.😢
What you mean? You talking about nadal?
@@juliusthomas86 yeah Nadal isnt as fast as before... Speed used to be one of his greatest weapons, which covered his shortage of play style on hard court.

Prime Novak vs Prime Nadal would be 2012 RG or 2013 RG. Both coming off best years of their lives. After 2014 Nadal was out of his prime.
But he still won a plethora of Grand slams even with all his injuries that Novak has been very fortunate to avoid.
@@Mntguy-nr9vl I would rather say Novak took very good care of his body rather than to avoid
@kejriarvind8449 I doubt the assertion that Nadal somehow abused his body is true. But I agree that avoidance is not the right verbage.
Nadal seemed to be in his prime a lot earlier than others considering how good he was. 2008 was a big year for him.
@@donquixote...I mean his play style was known to be a big cause of his injuries
Thanks for those 2 legends playin for our eyes
I just keep remembering Medvedev, "the ball just keeps coming back, it's like you're stuck in a Nightmare trying to wake up".
I'm really missing these matches in tennis. We may never see this level of greatness in our lifetime.
No worry... there will be more greatness... alcaraz and sinner already show the glimpse of that
This was pre-prime Djokovic. His prime began in 2011.
There's a difference between prime and peak. Peak nadal was in 2008 and 2010 not in 09
Turn the sound off to get rid of the grunting. Then all you have left is tennis so dull it defies sense to watch it.
Sure. We'll believe you over Tennis TV
@@richardjones2006, except for that last get from Rafa?
That court coverage from furthest corner to the drop shot is absolutely unbelievable.
We all know how good Noles drop shots are.
Rafa was able to reach that itself is miracle let alone winning that point. Rafa on clay in prime without injury is the best thing happened in sports history.
Prime Djokovic? Good joke...Djokovic prime period started in 2011...In 2009 he was far from his prime..

But in this match he played godly tennis
You need to learn the difference between prime and peak .

His prime started in 2008 deal with it
My love Rafa ❤
This Novax would have wiped the floor with young Carlos at Wimbledon '23 and '24
No he wouldn't because he doesn't have the variety, and all-court attacking game that Alcaraz has.
I don't think any at the moment would even have a chance against those two in those years. Relentless power, precision, stamina and passion 😤💪
Djokovic in 09 wasn't really that great.
Djokovic was the only challenge( some times )to the king of clay
And federer some times
39 shot rally including serve.
What a rally!
NADAL IS A beast that's hard to beat
On clay nobody can touch prime Nadal.

You could debate forever which one of the three was the best player… But most sympathetic? No contest. ✌️
Nadal - the king of clay👑♥️
Djokovic - o Rei do Tennis!
this was 2009. Djokovic started his prime 2011
The myth of djokovic prime in 2011 is absolute joke. Bro look at his achievements from 2007 to 2010. It is Hall of fame worth already. In 2011 became equal to fedal that is the only difference 😂😂😂😂
On clay there’s no prime against Rafa. He only lost on clay when he was injured. The numbers speak for themselves. Just to give you perspective, he NEVER played a fifth set in all 14 titles at the French Open. Simply untouchable.
@@manumalia what do you think of my 2011 prime djokovic myth comment
@@precociousdeathdealer202 Nahhh, he didn't become equal. He surpassed them and dominated. Can you tell me how 7/7 finals went to Djokovic with them being "equal"?
@eminakaratas11 no man you misunderstood my entire point. Novak's 2007 to 2010 big titles win alone makes him worthy of hall of fame but deluded djokovic fans say he was a baby and only became great from 2011 onwards which is false narrative. Regarding the word equal,I meant that in context of time in 2011 to 2019. Of course, by current perspective he has surpass FEDAL

What's noticeable about this rally is how few risk-taking shots were played particularly by Djokovic, who ended up paying for not taking any risk.
