Spot on People want to act like fans so they have something to fit in and talk about in the tea room at work on a Monday morning. This is Rugby league and it’s played at full speed with passion and aggression. Take all that away and it’s not Rugby league anymore
If Latrell was a clean player and this incident was a one off then yes I would say it was an accident but however Latrell is a high profile player who brought this on him self ,he has a history of repeated aggression and eventually someone will get hurt.Instead of Latrell apologising to Manu he's true personality showed minuets later by throwing a ball on another player's head Sorry but that says a lot about his behavior
If Mitchell smacked Manu in the chest, it would've been hit of the week. Manu was coming down in off load & got clipped by Mitchell at full pace. Yep it was careless and should got red card. Deliberate, No.

You always tackle to hurt not maim, that has always been the case in RL but there is always a risk of injury and sets it aside from the other kick and giggle forms. Latrell went in hard on that tackle, which means there is a risk to himself. Crusher tackles are tackles with the intent to injure.
Storm in a tea cup. Joey dropped atleast 10 to 20 centimetres in the split seconds leading up to contact. It's careless contact at worst. They probably should move on but the purpose of these type of shows is to draw people into their content on the tv on social media or on RUclips. So by commenting on the video and watching the video you’re actually encouraging them not to move on you’re giving them attention and views.
@REDFOX393 SMITH it was careless at best stop trying to blow it up people like you are why the NRL is ruining the game. Buzz it does happen every week... its just that it doesn't always end in a terrible injury. That's the point- players are always at risk because you can't take these tackles out of the game.
@@imalwaysright yeah they do happen most weeks. We usually see forwards, with their chests and shoulders front on, hitting blokes high who are smaller by accident. In this case, Latrell's shoulder smashed Manu's face. It doesn't always end like this but it definitely happens most weeks. Referees see more when the player is hurt or injured. This is why players are laying down waiting for the bunker to get involved. It doesn't even always end in a penalty but blokes get hit ball, head and all (bear hugged) most weeks.
Phil Gould is an embarrassment to try to defend this. That's a terrible tackle ! Latrell Mitchell basically led with his shoulder, watch him approach the tackle with his shoulder forward not with him arm. Phil Gould is pretty sad trying to defend it. I much prefer League to Union but I watch the NRL and sometimes wonder what does a player need to do to get sent off for the rest of the game !!! It's like referees have been instructed to only send players to the sin-bin to keep the game competitive with 13 players on-field for most of the match and to hell with player safety.
This is really good news for the Rabbits if you are really think about it, Because they got a legitimate excuse now if they don’t win the NRL championship this year, And their excuse is that their superstar fullback(Latrell) ain’t playing in this year’s finals series which is sad but hey Rugby League is changing into a much more safer/softer game now, Some fans like this safer/softer game now but some fans don’t like it because they like the game harder & physical, And also there is fans like me that don’t mind either way, I think this year’s GF is going to be between the Panthers & the Storm same like last year’s GF in my opinion. #GoTheStorm⚡️⛈⚡️⛈
Latrell is a professional player, if he can't put his body in a position to make a legal tackle. Then he is at fault, if accidents happen they happen because players can't control their own actions. Players have a duty of care toward each other and if you run recklessly at another player and strike them in the head then you are 100% responsible. Henry gave away easy penalties before refs became stricter with ruck infringements . He has passable/average natural feel for game unlike Gerard Sutton. Forward passes, dangerous contact is a tough one across the board at the moment.
*TOUCHING THINGS*so what are you saying .Henry likes the warriors your a idiot the warriors fans don't like Henry or the other refs especially and Matt Chechin. Yes Henry let a couple of wrong decisions go our way but we the fans remember the ones he got wrong more causes there were way more of thoses that cost us games.Theres alot of warrior fans that think we should've just brought the team back home causes of the baised reffing against them.some weeks decisions go there way but that goes for every team. But di you think fox or telstra or whoever the main sponsor are of the nrl really want a overseas team who are sponsor by a rival tv and tele communication company to win there comp.even if they were good enough to do so no.Has there been anything in it for the warriors for the past 2 seasons no.We as fans can't even go and watch live games atleast the Aussie fans can and you whinging about a couple of rear decisions that Henry let go our way.

I’m sure all the guys on the panel must’ve watched league in the 80s, stuff like this hit and worse things happened back then and no one batted an eyelid
yep and how many of those players suffer now🙄
And it’s 2021 now - 30-40 years later there’s more understanding of protect the head of players. Many early retirements from concussions. And the TV rights mean a cleaner game overall is required
Ew, battered eyelids...
Never have i agreed with Buzz and Kent so intenly. Shut up Crawl
Correct 💯
Paul is right. Buz and Kent represent people who have no clue but outraged with opinion. kent didn't bother to watch Gus response on channel 9 and still had opinions, that's questionable journalism
The game will never be safe as long a Gus is hanging around
Everyone comments bring back the biff then this poor young fella makes one bad tackle in that game and he gets attacked make up ya mind, you want them to play aggressive or you wanna watch netball? Injuries happen, going full speed at someone and getting the tackle wrong happens, y’all never played the game or?
Sorry Gus
Spot on
People want to act like fans so they have something to fit in and talk about in the tea room at work on a Monday morning.
This is Rugby league and it’s played at full speed with passion and aggression.
Take all that away and it’s not Rugby league anymore

Latrell had plenty of time to pull out. He saw Manu was dropping. Gould should have pulled out earlier as well.
Paul Kent and Phil Rothfield are tools

Buzz and Kent make Rugby League sound like it’s Bold and the beautiful or days of our lives
Happy to discuss with him
It's funny how NRL360 has become a show for people who have never played rugby league to talk about it like they're expert it's so bad that it's funny
Lol it’s rugby league a contact sport. You tackle hard and you run hard. Get over it. UP THE BUNNIES!! ( I don’t even go for the bunnies😂)
If Latrell was a clean player and this incident was a one off then yes I would say it was an accident but however Latrell is a high profile player who brought this on him self ,he has a history of repeated aggression and eventually someone will get hurt.Instead of Latrell apologising to Manu he's true personality showed minuets later by throwing a ball on another player's head
Sorry but that says a lot about his behavior
If Mitchell smacked Manu in the chest, it would've been hit of the week. Manu was coming down in off load & got clipped by Mitchell at full pace. Yep it was careless and should got red card. Deliberate, No.
How does Kent even have a job
He is so out of touch with what Rugby league is. If you are not going into a tackle to intimidate and hurt the opposition, go play touch
A lot of Souths fans in the comments worried that their premiership chances are over 💀💀💀💀
Sucked in. They should be more furious at latrell. It was his fault. No one to blame but that moron.
"The way he threw that football onto the ground. That was terrible"
Are these guys serious? Do they want players to play with absolutely zero emotion.
He threw the ball at a roosters player laying on the ground who did nothing wrong. Grubby
So you're a snowflake too? No judging. Good for you.

Its a contact sport boys. It's not golf or tennis. people will get hurt accidently. U want Latrell to touch him and say you're caught
The Rugby League I know of is not the Rugby League that are played these days...
Players are paid hefty amount of money with all kinds of new rules being introduced etc. Consequently... the aggression, toughness and passion that used to make this sport the number one game of all has been thrown out the back door... this will never be the same again if we continue this path.
People keep saying that if many wasn't injured this wouldn't be a story. Bull. The tackle, void of the injury, was still absolutely terrible.
We've all seen tackles go wrong and it won't be that last...and we've all seen players slam balls down after scoring try's, Latrell won't be last, NFL players do it all time.
me and you have a go aye paul kent?
These guys won’t stop until we’re watching touch footy.
Been saying it for years mate 👍 the game is half way there now !
I'm prepared to give Mitchell the benfit of the doubt over his intent, but there is no doubt that he was reckless, showed poor technique, and it was a very dangerous tackle.
Yvonne starting to be unbearable. Bring Ennis in Fox. Yvonne makes 360 sound like every other show/panel. Bland as fk.
Yvonne only need this big budoo I got here for her to straighten her up 😂
"These things happen" riiiiiight so name another Fullback that has made a tackle like this? Yes I know inglis has but besides his big hit name another Fullback that has done something this bad
@ dayna overend
Inglis was around 105kg and 6foot 5inches. Latrell is around 108kg and 6foot 4inches. They are probably 2 off the biggest fullbacks of the NRL era to ever play. Of course them running fast in to make a tackle is going to have a greater impact than all other fullbacks, that's just physics.
What's your point?
@@ronalddumas335 my point is if other fb don't do it, then so can he. Fb in union are same size if not a lil bit smaller, still don't see them making silly tackles like that. If they want to be serious about protecting the head then don't say these kinda things happen and make excuses for it cos they don't happen, sometimes a freak incident like this happens, but 99% of fb don't make this tackle
@@ronalddumas335 that's my point mate
You quoted the point, you didn't get the point. It's clear: accidents happen, you deal with them. The outrage is childish
@@jedmars2691 that's the point, these things don't happen 😂. Like I said name another fb that has done that besides inglis. Not childish at all mate, what's childish is the death threats to his family yes but the fact that people are mad about the tackle isn't childish. Shouldn't happen, plan and simple
3 years later and the bunker is still broken 😂😂😂
You always tackle to hurt not maim, that has always been the case in RL but there is always a risk of injury and sets it aside from the other kick and giggle forms. Latrell went in hard on that tackle, which means there is a risk to himself. Crusher tackles are tackles with the intent to injure.
This table would be lucky to accumulate an IQ of 80.
Storm in a tea cup. Joey dropped atleast 10 to 20 centimetres in the split seconds leading up to contact. It's careless contact at worst. If joey walks out of this without looking like elephant man we wouldn't be talking about it. Latrell has been suspended, Joey's family had come out and said no bad blood and while I understand they would have nothing to do if they didn't blow things out of proportion, but it's time for the media to move on also.
Manu dropped significantly before contact and was trying to come back on the inside. Without that drop Latrell would have hit him with his chest... accidental no intent to maime. If you don't want to see injuries like that go watch soccer. By the way you can call him Fatrell all you like I'm not actually a fan, in fact dont like him at all but I don't let my emotions cloud my judgement and really it just shows your true form from behind a keyboard 🤣🤣 weak little man!
@@bensantowski467 he's clearly a salty roosters supporter, id be salty too if my teams been embarrassed the last 3 games against their biggest rival
In defense of Perenara doesn't the incident have to be put on report by the on field ref before the video ref can become involved?
To save a big argument just take tackle out of the game completely 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2 of the games best players are now out till next year that is not good for the game, period!! He went in high and made no attempt to change his body position. It was a dog move and he deserves everything that he got and more because no one is talking about the real victim here and that's Joey Manu. He is currently in contract negotiations with clubs and I can only assume that this might have a impact, hopefully not though. So all this garbage about trying to change the game for the future but then to say you will never get rid of it is just absolute BS!! End of the day a dog act has cost 2 players their seasons and 2 teams their shot at a title. Well done Latrell 👏
@REDFOX393 SMITH who you calling dickhead
It's a parts of any contact game, no one can always made no mistakes. It's same in human life everyone made mistakes.
Kent get your head right, this is a contact sport only men play and accidents happen, thats why you call it rugby league the greatest game of all. Its not played by moms or kids at home. Kent your journalism is taking the taste out of this game. Please dont change the game we love.....!!!
Buzz it does happen every week... its just that it doesn't always end in a terrible injury. That's the point- players are always at risk because you can't take these tackles out of the game.
Tackles and hits like that do not happen every week.
Just because Latrell and others use bad technique Phil defends it. What is Latrell supposed to do he says .... tackle with proper technique that's what ! I much prefer League to Union but I watch the NRL and sometimes wonder what does a player need to do to get sent off for the rest of the game !!! It's like referees have been instructed to only send players to the sin-bin to keep the game competitive with 13 players on-field for most of the match and to hell with player safety.
This is really good news for the Rabbits if you are really think about it,
Because they got a legitimate excuse now if they don’t win the NRL championship this year,
And their excuse is that their superstar fullback(Latrell) ain’t playing in this year’s finals series which is sad but hey Rugby League is changing into a much more safer/softer game now,
Some fans like this safer/softer game now but some fans don’t like it because they like the game harder & physical,
And also there is fans like me that don’t mind either way,
I think this year’s GF is going to be between the Panthers & the Storm same like last year’s GF in my opinion.
#GoTheStorm⚡️⛈⚡️⛈
It's both kenty and buzz who Gould was targeting
Latrell is a professional player, if he can't put his body in a position to make a legal tackle. Then he is at fault, if accidents happen they happen because players can't control their own actions. Players have a duty of care toward each other and if you run recklessly at another player and strike them in the head then you are 100% responsible.
Have we not learnt anything from repeated concussive collision to players heads and the impact this has on players??? No excuses Gus Gould, Freddy Fittler, Andrew Johns common channel 9 you blokes are looking like dinosaurs.
Gus clearly stated that he had a friendly one hour conversation with Robinson. These commentators are liars and not worthy of trust!
Everyone jumped on it and gave it crazy titles. But money is money I guess

Ashley Klein has been saved so many times LMAO, Its crack up as that the dude in the BUNKER gets the chop rather then the on-field official that was ACTUALLY THERE LMAFO !!!!!!! So you chop the man whose no where near the field, In a digital room somewhere overlooking the Camera's to officiate a game, Rather then the actual on-field official who actually suppose to control the game, who is near the players and should be able to see everything ?, Just makes no sense at all, But then again it's NRL they just make no sense in general.
We don't need super stars in the NRL , if they behave like Mitchell.
Go figure an injury should happen in the NRL and the NFL lol
NOT TRUE. IT CAN BE GOTTEN RID OF WITH RESPONSIBILITY AND THE ELIMINATION OF RECKLESSNESS AND UNWARRANTED UNPROFESSIONAL AGGRESSION.
Too far?? In the old days,Lettrell will be carted off next time we would play him… Take him head on see how he feels to have half ur face dismantled..
Gus is defending Mitchell because he’s a blue, end of. You can only make excuses for a player once or twice. But when he’s got a big rap sheet at such a young age you gotta start questioning his character.
...Rugby League has become to soft for the great hits like Latrell put on Manu, to shut-down that play. ....Don't forget everyone, those kind of big hits are what made the game soo good to watch .....but soon it will probably end up being played like tag football .........!!!
@nrl360 Latrell broke AJ brimson jaw and nothing was said. What’s so special about this?
At 4.50 in this idiot Crawley says to Kent " no one is disputing that it was a reckless tackle" WTF only Gus Gould who is calling everyone a child for suggesting such!!!!! Or THE NRL for charging him with it, this Crawley is wasted space and shouldn't be allowed participate in an intelligent discussion. Suggesting that players can run in at maximum speed ( as Mitchell did ) get the tackle slightly high using the shoulder only, because we all know players with the ball can drop, dummie, swerve, duck and weave in an instant and say ( after all we been through with the announcement by V'LANDYS that those types of tackles will not be accepted anymore ) that those types of collisions are going to occur is absolutely RIDICULOUS.
