    Really simple and to the point. I think the graphics were great and harder than a video with someone demonstrating the laser.

      Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you found the graphics helpful. While a demonstration video can be effective, I aimed to make the process clearer with detailed graphics.

    How you do this in tenths, running 2% on a 6in pave, 4in etc I get confused with the metric system

    • @Engineersupply
      @Engineersupply  7 месяцев назад +1

      Sure thing! Converting between tenths and percentages can be tricky, especially when dealing with different units like inches and metric. To run a 2% slope on a 6-inch pavement, you'd need to calculate the rise over run. Since 2% is equal to 0.02, you'd multiply the length of the pavement (6 inches) by 0.02 to find the rise. For a 6-inch pavement, the rise would be 0.12 inches. Similarly, for a 4-inch pavement, the rise would be 0.08 inches. This calculation helps ensure your pavement has the correct slope for drainage and stability. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

    Unlike the comment from Jerry Brown, I think this is an awesome video. Jerry, it seems, doesn't need any graphics to go with the text. Too bad. I think this is awesome and appreciate the fast paced content that was easy to follow and explained with clear, short sentences. Don't let jerks ruin your efforts to share your knowledge. I bet good ol' Jerry has never posted a helpful video like this one.

    Thanks for the easy to follow video.
    What about when there is no ditch there to find the grade?
    What about the percentage?
    Can you upload more videos please

      Percent grade is the rise divided by the run times 100. So if you go out 100 feet and get a drop of 7, that’s a 7% grade. ( 7 / 100 ) x 100

      In short, to figure out the percent grade, you’ll have to pre set, or determine how far the grade stick is from the level

    it is good or old level surveying

    • @Engineersupply

      Thanks for watching! Traditional surveying is good, but modern laser levels make things easier and more accurate. They've improved how we measure and work. If you have questions, just ask!

    Hey, turn the microphone on and speak. People are not watching videos, so that they can read might as well take away the stupid music too if you’re not gonna add any voice. I can read the book, I want to watch the video and be instructed. Just a little FYI.
