- Sonic '06 is one of the most notorious video games of all time, and for good reason. Sonic '06 is the textbook definition of a rushed game, and everywhere you look there's something to talk about related to this game.
As one of the 5 people on the planet who somewhat actually enjoy Sonic '06, I thought it would be fun to make an Iceberg for it as I also recently played the Silver update in Project '06 too and definitely noticed a bunch of things that I wanted to talk about.

I will always find it so funny that despite the sorry state the game is in, the soundtrack goes so hard. Its like thats where most of the effort went.
This is a silver lining with a lot of the worst Sonic games. Really, a Sonic game is *truly* doomed when there’s not even a decent soundtrack to back it up, like Rise of Lyric or Chronicles.
Platinum Hits thing is slightly different, basically Microsoft gave that to any game that sold really well, which Sonic 06, despite it's quality or lack thereof, did.

Another modern game that could have made super sonic playable but because they rushed it they just leaved him in a fight in space,the counter is now up to 6 or 7 by now(advance series,rush,adventure 2 etc)and sometimes its not even because its rushed its just a bad decision,theres no trophy for completing the game otherthan the final boss with super sonic wich should make so if you beat it you can now be super sonic whenever you want so you actually feel like you got compensated

Sonic 06 was purchasable digitally on 360, Idk why you said it never was, they even brought it back a few years back on the 360 store
Knowing that Microsoft gave this game the “platinum greatest hit” treatment. Is really funny.
I imagine the amount of poor souls that bought the game and endured it’s broken state.
Then some market exec only saw the number of sold copies and decided to slap a “greatest hit” on the cover.
“Greatest hit” indeed but not what the exec imagined.
The entire game is an enigma 💀

I will say tho the story had a lot of potential and a cool premise i would love for Sonic to go back to a dark serious almost cenimatic type story
