lol i love how amber just lost her leotard and is declared a new level jkjk
Highest rank: clumsiness

@@b0y.slvt7 ok mommylover.
Amber's role : boy
@@freshdefect i do love my mommy
Not Eva calling out Amber for losing her leo. 😂
😂😂😂
Did someone take her leotard or did she actually lose it herself and she can't find it
A gentle roast
@@aoibheannkatiemulhall4422 she herself lost it for months, she just barely bought a new one a couple months ago HAHAHAH
@@Evanysphotography LMFAO RIPP
She lost her leotard and now she’s one of the boys
Wait stop this is so funny
Not like other girls
🤣🤣🤣
@@irudexap omfg
@@irudexap"I'm not like other girls. I misplace things"
The boys doing flawless turns me who can’t even do one 😂
I can barely do one
Your point?
@@bloodline1158 that they are awesome?
because they’re professional dancers?
well they are professionals and you probably aren't if you're saying this
i was really hoping this video was gonna be dumb like "blue leo, i wanted to wear blue today. green leo, she wanted to wear green today. grey leo, she wanted to match me but she's colorblind-"
The last one was foul💀
Nah i feel called out by the last one cuz that actually happened to me once during gymnastics💀🤚
NOT THE COLORBLIND
Pink leo: learned my lesson to never mix white and red clothes in the washing machine ever again
Here is mine! (im just bored so why not?)
Baby pink 2-5 years
Baby blue: 6-11 years
Navy Blue: 12-15 years
Black or anything they want: 16+
Boys 2-15: White t-shirt or long sleeve, black leggings or shorts, black or white full sole shoes
Men 16+: Anything they want
(Edit: Gah damn 517 likes? -)
Very cool! Mine is:
Pink leotard with skirt: 18mo-6yrs
Solid color leotard: (not black and optional skirt) 6-9yrs
Solid black leotard (no skirts): company track 10+yrs
Boys under 10: Any comfortable dance clothes
Boys 10+: White fitted shirt, black leggings, black shoes
I'm curious, why can't girls (especially the young ones) dance also in basic comfortable stretchy clothes?
Same
@@enni4802 probably because it makes it harder to make corrections
@@enni4802 I mean leotards aren't tight actually, its just depends on the brand and how small it is. Most of them have a soft stretchy fabric now days.
My levels go pink, purple, navy then black. My studio follows the R.A.D levels.
Whereas I think some studios make their own levels up to better suit their more recreational needs
My studio doesn’t do the leotard color level stuff we just all usually wear black Leo’s or any colored leos
Same mine does rad too but the colours are different
you do RAD? that’s rlly cool :) we are similar to RAD (bbo) but not entirely the same.
@@alittlebitofeverything276 yeah I do R.A.D. (royal academy of dance). There are many levels and at one point there's a split where you can follow the grades (more free contemporary ballet style) or the interfoundational and foundation to advanced levels (more technuique focused and classical style)
What about you?
@@anonymous-ju1pr yeah, that’s my grade system. i’m doing inter found this year for the split to go more classical and do pointe for the exam :)
Many videos of this channel make me to notice the similarity between Dance (Classical and all others) and Martial Arts, because both demand high level of focus, discipline and phisical effort, learning specific thecniques, learning variations and doing exhaustive repetion of moves.
And now, knowing about the classification of the dancers through the colors of the leotard made me think about the classification of the fighters through the color of the sash of their kimono.
Absolutely. We have the same hardware and different softwares😉. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Thanks for the clarification. This made me think something funny...
I can imagine a classical dancer using her dancing skills to IMPROVISE a series of karate moves (kata) with grace, beauty and precision, but I can't imagine a karateka achieving the same level of quality of presentation executing a simple combination like: tandue/plie/pas de chat.
How you said: same hardwares, differents softwares.😉
@@ernestoyamashiro1350 Jea till someone comes along and starts to force you to only use JKA standarts.
@@atalante1853
😄 Your point makes sense.
And I think maybe a big star from Bolshoi or ABT would handle JKA standards reasonably well. Who knows... 🙂
@@ernestoyamashiro1350 Probably. I only started recently to use them and... it doesn't go well at the moment. I already miss the long, a little more gracefull movements.🥲
Tiny dancers - baby pink
Pre primary & primary - light blue
Grade 1 and 2 - lilac
Grade 3 to 5 - mauve
Intermediate foundation to Intermediate - dark purple
Advanced foundation, advanced one and advanced two - black
Ooooo I think this is my favorite color variations that I've read so far. ❤
Here’s my studio!
All pink: petites and moderato (3-7)
Black leotard: cadet (ballet levels 1-5)
Male cadets wear white shirts and black bottoms.
Pointe dancers and company dancers get to wear whatever they want!! Same with dancers focusing on other forms besides ballet, though for recitals and shows we always have either costumes or set outfits for each individual class.
Amber slaying tho even though she lost her leotard
Amber is so amazing. You can’t take your eyes off of her. I was a ballet dancer when I was younger for 14 years. These girls have such training in technique, amazing teachers, well done!
So hard to believe these amazing dancers are pre pro!🎉🎉🎉❤
Early!! I love the leotard colors!! I am a dancer and we also have a variety of colors for leos but I don’t think boys NEED to have all black. I mean, I know that’s just the way but their faces are rocks just like their outfits-
Aw man i hope the dude's leotard gonna get a color update
It’s not that serious
for real, it's stupid that the girls have to fucking wear their rank while the guys don't. weird.
@@heehoopeanut420 damn chill
My dance company has pink, purple, blue, navy blue, and burgundy.
Pink: Tiny tots (3 years old)
Purple: Twinkle toes (3-4 years)
Blue: Intermediate (5-7 years)
Black: Ballet 1 & 2 (7-9 years or depending on skill)
Navy Blue: Ballet 3 (10-14 or depending on skills)
Burgundy: Ballet 3 & higher (15 or older and depending on skill)
I wondered this. All pretty colors
Amber losing her leotard is one of the most relatable things I've seen in a while. lol
Bro not me being 16 and only starting to do pirouettes en pointe this year
Haha, same
That’s not bad! It’s better that they allowed your bones to fully develop before putting you on pointe. Anytime you doubt yourself, remember misty Copeland. She didn’t start dancing until much later compared to most professional ballerinas. Just have fun with it! You got this! - from a fellow dancer and former dance teacher 💛
@@stellarae8257i just saw this comment! Thank you so much! I passed my Adv Found exam in August and this year I get to do our show en pointe now I'm Adv 1! Super excited
Misty Copeland is a huge inspiration to me for multiple reasons
I didn't start doing pointé work till 17 and didn't start dancing en pointé till I was 18. I started at 11 and don't have a dancers body. so it took me a while. but as long as me and you keep working hard we'll make it💕
Okay but that light blue is a gorgeous color. I want to be that color lmao
we just wear whatever we want in my studio lol
you'll see all tyoes of wrap skirts, leotards and shoes, and ppl would even wear sports bras (the teachers doesn't mind as long as you have ballet shoes on)
We're in R.A.D program btw
Whats RAD program?
RAD stands for the royal academy of dance and they have a ballet syllabus which goes from grades 1-8 (also primary/pre primary) and another syllabus with pointe work done when you are older. The teacher usually chooses the uniform for the class to wear but some only wear uniform for actual exams.@dancingdyspraxicfairy
So we visibly grade women and men get to chill. Checks out.
Could be there's just not enough guys to bother with that. Or frankly girls are kind of more important than guys in ballet
chill brah it's probably just that there's way more girls so they need a way to categorize rhem
It’s like wearing a team shirt, definitely not a bad thing in most cases. As for why the men don’t wear them it’s simply because they don’t wear leotards and it would be a pain to find shirts that match for every team when there aren’t that many men. Also men usually are leveled differently because the skills required are very different for them and their bodies work a little differently (women generally have a lower center of gravity and gain less muscle mass then men) Its actually really interesting if you’re able to find reasearch without misogynistic undertones. (Sorry this comments so long)
@@andynonymous6769but they said ALL GRADES which means they're probably is
@@andynonymous6769Girls are NOT more important in ballet.
I always think it’s so neat when different levels have different colors.
at my studio we have 9 different levels of pre pro
1-2 wear pink
3-4 wear blue
5-6 wear maroon some days, and mauve other days
7-9 wear black.
then on fridays we get to wear whatever colour leo we want to. its a lot of different leos lol
Girls: We are all the colors of the rainbow!
Boys: I’m Batman!
In general most pre-professional ballet schools have a dress code for girls that includes the lightest colors for the youngest dance students. The darker the colors the more advanced the students.
The boy looked like straight out of Greek mythology. He is so gorgeous 😍
I had light blue with 10
They can control their positioning❤
Why they all so pretty 😭😭
It's interesting to learn how different dance studios do different leveling and how it is sorted and identified.
All the girls be so good
Me:trying to show off 2 seconds later I break me leg 😂 😂
Interesting! I never knew there are different colours and that they mean different things. I usually only see the little kids in pink. I guess the older dancers change out of the leotards before walking around in public.
My academy of ballet: 2-20 years
Light Pink:2-5 years 1 level
Light blue:6-8 years 2 level
Light lilak:9-13 years 3 level by audition
White:14-17 years 4 level by audition
Dark purple:18-20 years 5 level by audition
Name of academy:Auditions live🎀🎀
In the audittions the friday always wear green for variations the pointes shoes starts at eleven years old. the boys wear black and wear socks instead of half pointe shoes the pointe shors and half pointe shoes it is mandatory that they be light golden🩰🩰🩰
My studio is new so its pretty lax😅 Most of the class doesn't even wear leotards
They are all so skilled and talented.
Many thanks for this interesting explanation. So I understood that there were different blues, then leopard and black for girls. That for men, it was always black regardless of their age. Hum! I do not speak English. Also, please forgive me if I'm wrong. Respectfully. Best wishes to all these young dancers from Switzerland : ))
Keep it up :) it's honestly such a good idea to practice language in RUclips comments, you're doing great
@@nefertitimontoya I thank you for your encouragement. It's very uplifting and kind of you. Have a nice week. Sincerely, Joe
heres mine!
pre ballet- light pink
ballet I- light blue
ballet II- navy blue
ballet III (beginner)- burgundy
ballet III (advanced)- forest green
ballet IV- black
ballet V- any color you want
I' love the light blue
How are these Ballerinas SO TALENTED? The very first time I can remember doing ballet was when I was maybe 4 with my little sister on her birthday! I ended up stopping ballet bc of Covid but when I rejoined my dance studio in 2021 most girls my age were in higher levels. I ended up quitting bc my teacher was quite frankly rude.
get it together Amber!
Wow the strength in ambers leg to do that 😳 I’d get a Charlie horse immediately
Now LilaRose and Taylor gets to wear the dark blue leotard🥺🥺🥺 the others as well,,, y'all are awesome❤
I thought they were the same age as Melanie and Tessa and all of those
Mine was lilac for grade 1
But now my dance teachers made their own brand and its dark blue so ye😅
I love,how amber just lost the leotard😂
My studio has black for the color for everyone but the skirt’s color changes depending on the class
I love it ❤❤
Your a good dancer
Here’s whar we have here
Intro to Dance to Fundamentals 1(3-8ish): pink!
Fundamentals 2+ : black! Yay.
If you are in the movement ballet, you can wear red to rehearsal. Lucky.
Oh, and every May we have colored leotard month which nobody ever does unless you are little (Fundamentals 2 below), in TMB, or an “older dancer” (Advanced 2+). I am currenly in Intermediate.
The BOYS get to wear a white shirt and black tights, unless your the teacher’s son.
For me
Pink 5 and under
Light blue 7 and under
White 9 and under pre pre pro level
Purple 11 and under pre pro level
Royal blue 12-15 and under pro
Black- absolute pro thr class the teachers take
Amber just always rehearsing, how dedicated
Taylor is that good at ballet at 13?? Dayumm
God I miss this!! 😢😢😢😢😢
Decorou os conceitos de honra objetiva e subjetiva e farmou indenização.
Thank you for explaining this. I was so confused
I loved that we had to switch leotards at some point ❤️ it was something to look for, like a Christmas present or something like that :D
started with rosa/pink, white and then navy blue, got almost Burgundy red but quit :'D after 10 years, but I'm still dancing private ❤️
Jewelry box dancers…they keep turning and turning! 🎊 🎉😂
I actually had no idea this was a thing, so I appreciate the information!
My ballet company is called Ballet Hawaii and our leotard colors are like this:
Pre ballet: white with a green orange and pink tule skirt
Ballet 1: baby pink
Ballet 2: lavender
Ballet 3: light blue
Ballet 4 (me): hot pink
Ballet 5: royal blue
Ballet 6+: navy blue
Not me thinking about find me in paris 😭
And the dance studio that I go to since I’m in elementary 3 the boys have to wear a white shirt with black pants plus I love dance I tried a lot of sports and then I did dance and I love it and you made me love it so thank you Eva ❤
When I was in ballet 5yrs - 16yrs old in England we wore light pink leotards with a leo cardi and skirt from pre- primary though to grade 1 then wore light blue till grade 3, then navy without a skirt and cardi till grade 6/finishing grade and at rehearsals we wore black or if we couldn’t then we’d come in our grade colours. The boys always wore white leotards with black leggings and black flat ballet slippers. Girls wore light pink ballet slippers up until learning en pointe and then the colour varied depending on our feet and what we needed. I love learning about the differences in ballet and even the lesson changes of different countries. Russian ballet is one of my favourites to learn about but I love seeing performances even now when I go to London in the royal opera house with my Uncle, it’s magical. I really miss ballet, I need to pick it back up again
Those leg extensions and pirouettesssss
At my ballet school light blue means level 1 and black means level 6
Are we not gonna talk about how fine✨✨✨ the guys look
We have a pre pro as well! We only have 6 levels but I’m in level 6 and we wear black. I have other classes as well and I can wear whatever I want. Our pre pro classes for level 6 are on Mondays and Saturdays and they are just 2 hour ballet classes that include Barre, Center, Across the floor, and pointe. 😊❤
Ooo I remember when I was doing a half year of ballet when I was 7 and I wanted to be like no one else and I didn’t like pink (still don’t rlly do, beautiful color, I dress alt..) so I always wore black in ballet when everyone else was in pink (:
How gorgeous is Maya in the beginning of this short?! 🌟
I loved my baby blue even as I got older I’d wear it anytime given the chance 😂
great to know-thanks
I wish my daughter’s studio had different colors. That would be neat. Pink is when they are little (or any color) I think until 5. And then they wear black leotards with pink leggings and shoes. The boys wear a white tshirt and black leggings or shorts.
uhm thats my exact setup
It varies from different dance studios… I’m pretty sure my dance studio is based of blue so the younger ones wear lighter blue while the older ones wear darker at rehearsals we wear uniform/dance wear/sweats we have three different levels light blue dark blue and even darker blue and guess what the last one is even darker blue i am currently the dark blue but it’s cool to see different uniforms I LOVE YOUR SKIRTS our studio has bland blue skirts but IM IN LOVE WITH YOUR ONES 😂❤
Here’s my studio:
Age 3, 4, 5: Pink
Age 6-8: Black
Level I: light blue
Level II: Lavender
Level III: Royal blue (navy)
Level IV and V: Black
Level VI-Advanced: Any leotard
I’m in level V (FYI It’s Roman numerals)
I’m an artistic rollerskater not a ballet dancer but my club has uniforms so here it is
(L = Leotard, C = skate cover, P = pants)
3-5 = Blue L, pink C and pink P
5-10 = Grey L, Beige C and black P
(At this point we switch to levels)
Intermediate = pastel pink L, black C and white P
Intermediate Advanced = Blue L, Black C and white P
Advanced 1 = black L, beige C, black P
Advanced 2 = dark purple L, white C, Black P
Advanced 3 = Dark green L, black C and Black P
Advanced senior = literally random ass work out clothes
Advanced senior comp team = literally leggings and the club T shirt 💀💀
That's actually so cool that you do that tho /gen
I love ballet it’s probably my dreams and probably be my destiny
I wish I could have continued ballet but couldn’t
Thank you so much
I finally got a nice reference and info
Agh -- the robo voice!

No one can have that good teacher you very kind to your student ☺️
I love how I’m on pointe yet because of my ankles I can’t turn because I can’t get over on the box enough
I do color guard and use a bit of ballet dance technique. I wish I could look thus elegant 😭🤣
Ahh I love the light blue
I got dark blue!💙💙💙💙💙💙
Love how Lila wears dark blue now
Wait... I thought in an interview some of these dancers were 20+. Is there an additional thing I'm missing? Probably!
It says dark blue is 17 and up so they could be 20+
They’re all pre-professional, which pretty much means they’ll “age-out” by 19 or 20 (usually 18) by getting a job in a company.
Dark blue it’s my favorite color
Fun fact: The "dark" blue is the same than the Alex Lorenz' s epic shorts (from Calisthenicmovement) aka, *Caliblue* It seems to confer balance, strength and flexi superpowers ☄️💙☄️ 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Here's my school.
Baby blue (3-5)
White (4-6)
Pink ( 7-9)
Blue (10-14)
Beginner Pointe ( 11- up)
Black ( Whatever age when you are actually good. There are twelve year olds and 20 yr olds.)
The Flowers in the Attic books taught me a thing or two about ballet.
I remember when I moved to light blue - where I do ballet, it was when you started creative
That’s so cool
The secondnone about losing a leotard was funny.
I wore a black leotard when I was in contemporary dance class
