Today at the Songkran festival we are exploring CentralwOrld and Siam Square with thousands of Bangkok locals. This is day two of our Songkran experience and to be honest.. Songkran in Bangkok has changed our lives.
Songkran is the absolute ultimate event and the Thai New Year events will literally blow you away.

For 3 days, the streets of Bangkok and every part of Thailand has been transformed into a water war battleground. People of all races, genders, religions, ages, join this war with smiles and laughs. @@DPP- In various temple areas throughout Thailand, people continue to make merit as usual. As far as I can see, only Japanese RUclipsrs know how to make merit by bathing Buddha images according to traditional Thai traditions.

I love this spot, Siam Square is always my Songkran Festival spot, not too much people, beautiful scenery, easy to access with BTS train and convenient for food and restroom

Songkran is a festival where people from all over the world come together in Thailand. Pattaya is like one giant Songkran party. The festivities end on Wan Lai, which means ‘Flowing Day’. on April 18th-19th. If you’ve had enough of being drenched, head over to Bang Saen beach on April 16th-17th where they craft amazing sand castles and sculptures. Did you know that omelet with rice is the most popular food during Songkran, next is fried pork with sticky rice. Try it once after getting wet and you'll understand that it's more delicious than usual. Songkran in Thailand will still be there until next week. (Only in some provinces)

Fun fact : Farang is what people during Ayuthaya period actually called France.
French people is one of the very first westerner contacted Ayutthaya. However, “France” when pronounced by actual French sounded very much like “Farang” which is guava in Thai. Since then,Siamese people recognize and refer all westerner as Farang.
