I love my Kindle so much. Its so convenient. I agree about bookstores, but sometimes space is an issue. I live in New York, and apartments can be tiny here. Being able to “carry” hundreds of books on the device is nice.
As a person who doesn't really have a stable home (my book collection is in my childhood home) and travels from country to country, I LOVE having a Kindle. This is one of the reasons I bought it, like sometimes I don't have space in my luggage for books. Don't get me wrong I love a physical book and i love my collection, but it is so convenient. Moreover, I love that at night I can read under my covers, with physical books I need to always leave the light on and with an iPad, well it's just TOo big and I practically blinded myself ( i have myopia already) by reading it,.
As a flight attendant sorry couldn't help but answer 😅. Lights are turned off for the takeoff and landing to help your eyes adjust to the outside lighting in case of an evacuation. Anyways yes have been loving my kindle wish I would've gotten one sooner but so happy to have it now!
New here, I just got into reading a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it, before, I'd read whatever book I had to read back in High School. I found out that I LOVE dystopian novels! I started 1984 in high school, about a decade ago, but never finally it, so I got my own copy a couple of years ago, along with Animal Farm, and Brave New World. And I recently got myself a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, and I'm absolutely loving it! I've been reading Fahrenheit 451, excellent book! Subscriber earned 🎉
@@fern4real733 That’s so great, I hope you have the best time getting into reading! I read 1984 this year and really enjoyed it! Kindles are great for getting into reading and finding new books. Thank you so much! ☺️
i've been thinking of buying a new kindle. my old one is from 2019 that i got with my first paycheck from my first job. i think it's time to upgrade. thanks for the video:)
I'm not sure if you've seen but every month amazon realise a load of 99p kindle books, and there are some free books. As I'm new to reading I haven't found my favourite author's/genres yet so I'm happy to try the 99p purchases and they often sell popular books, like Happy Place . I did want to buy the physical book but I'm short on space so for 99p i was sold on the kindle version. If I do end up loving a book from the kindle I'll probably convince myself still to by an actual copy 😂. I do have a question as I couldn't find the answer on Google, but do you know how many kindle screensavers there are not that it really matters lol. It's just I saw a couple on your kindle that I have yet to see on mine as I usually have the book cover on the display. Great video btw!.
@@staceymichelle5576 oh yes I have seen that, it’s very useful especially as I don’t have much space either! I’m not sure actually, I’d probably say about 5/6 but I might be completely wrong😂! Thank you for watching 🫶🏻x
I just bought the new kindle paperwhite signature edition and the battery was draining fast, I was only getting a day and a half out of the battery so amazon replaced it for me and it’s the same with the new one. I saw on Reddit some people were saying it can take a week or two for the battery to stabilise due to indexing and updates happening behind the scenes. Does anyone know if this is true?
If it’s a book that I know I will want to keep I will by the physical book. However I have been able to read so many booms on my kindle that I would not have otherwise thought I would be interested in reading because I figured it was free so no money lost if I didn’t like it.
I disagree with you on your first con with respect. I find that if you have a really good book, it's easy to get immersed in the story. I live in a single room, which is very small. So, as much as I love physical books, due to my disability, I can't hold physical books anymore. A kindle makes it easier to read, and doesn't take up space like a physical book does.
@@ursulaoelofse4731 Of course! If I love the book, it really won’t make a difference how I read it. Sometimes I find it harder starting one on a Kindle but that’s so amazing how Kindles are such a great development in reading for people with a disability!

My signature paper white stays charged. I only charge every month or so. Not sure why yours isn’t. Is it charging all the way?
Did you know that you can add custom fonts to a kindle? I read in a font called Mithella
