Thanks for this video and the other rice vid. Me in my ignorance I did short/normal rice and did not plant in water with the specific planter, I just used a normal planter with rice option, (can't remember which one it was) once fertilized it needed to be flooded to grow, twice, the product was just normal rice and turned out fine.

Great guide on the long grain rice. I do have one question though. In the game's help menu it states that long grain rice has a lower yield than regular rice but in this video you mention that the long grain rice has a higher yield so I just wanted to clarify if that was a misunderstanding or the devs accidentally swapped it.
No question in my two tutorials I got way more rice off the long grain rice (I know the field was much bigger, but proportionally there was defo more) I wonder if it's the wrong way around in the help menu

Hi FSG, I think it would be helpful if you also explain how to raise and lower the level of the rice field as you create it.
My advice would be don't the point at which you start the field is going to be your flatest point, depending on the level of the ground, after that it'll raise and lower the ground accordingly
I noticed you said that, and it’s something I didn’t know, so thanks! I like to sink the fields into the ground so that the banks are level with the surrounding terrain. It looks more realistic to me, especially on the Asian map. Really enjoying the content, as usual! I used your code when I bought the game download from the Giants website.
How about rolling the field? Does that add also some more percentage ? It seems a difference for some other crops.
It doesn't seem to register with Rice, but not sure if it's a bug or not
Thought the help menu said you couldn’t fertilize while it was flooded? Guess they changed their mind but would make more sense.
You can entirely skip the cultivation step by using a direct seeding seeder. I dont have the patience or time to do the extra cultivation step lol.
Even with crop destruction on nothing will happen during phase one of growth with larger tires. I think they did that intentionally because irl when crops are small they're still flexible and wont break. They just bend over and rise back up with growth.
Thank goodness they don't charge you for the water in rice fields like they do for the water from a well. I really don't understand why water costs money from your windmill.
I tested it, in stage 1 of growth large tyres removes the crop if you drive over it
@@TheFarmSimGuy Interesting, I have not had that happen for me. I made sure crop destruction is on too.
@TheFarmSimGuy yeah, im in the same boat as op. If you drive on stage 1, it doesnt destroy the crops. At least, it doesnt for me.
