19:05 This kind of game usually IS difficult at the start, but that's what makes a good game & a good video, is watching you figure out & overcome the challenge 😊
The $10k red 3pt pallet fork under MISC is always overlooked...great for early pallet loading. Once you need to do triple and quad stacking, get a forklift.
You can modify that planter in the workshop to hold fertiliser too, saves buying a spreader and cheaper. Sell the saplings, usually they are a good price.
You may want to focus on longpole pine instead of scotch pine. Longpole is maybe 150% more wood tree per tree (36m longpole vs 39m scotch, yes even with longer scotches). Starting new game on new frontier logging map, 4 36m longpole cut in 5m logs gave me $25k, and 4 39m scotch gave me $10k. However, I could take all 36 scotch logs on a single $19k baby blue log trailer. The same number of longpine logs (much thicker), took 2 trailer loads. Longpole much more worth your time. Watch out though, you can only winch 2.5 longpoles at one time, but if you have two trailers (one with crane, one without), you can tow entire load in one go.
I know a better way to make money from trees. You buy a Manchurian red pine in build mode for 500€ and cut it into 6m pieces and earn ~9000€. I hope they fix it.😂
I enjoy playing like this now and then 0 to 1 million in 14 years without script mods on FS22 map No man's land I started with the converted barrel tanker and the Fergoson FE35 with the small lizard trailer 4400 l + hand heled mower and a tent to sleep in lol. This should be a good rags to riches series.
Another nice episode FSG thx and keep them coming! If people don't like them - well nobody force them to watch! Looking forward to the coming episodes!👍👍👍
The landscaping does become bit of an issue when placing large building or objects. I find I end up with a cliff on one edge that I can neither drive up or down.
I like to bring up the building menu, see how big the structure is that I will be placing, and then paint textures to mark the area that I need to focus on flattening, smoothing, raising. Do the landscaping first; and then place the building. It also helps to flatten an area considerably larger than the building, and set it back from any map features like roads etc if you need to ramp up/down a driveway. For things with pallet spawns, it is beneficial to have a nice wide flat area at the pallet pick up points, or other triggers.
@@wedgetailleather You just gave me the best idea ever.... :D I could maybe make my buildings pack do just that. An option to swap between painting the footprint and the building itself. I'll investigate this.
Hi, as per the tree sell prices at 1:04, if you cut the 6m long log in 2 parts, you get two 3m logs that can be sold for 2'020 $ or do I miss something ?
Just checked the specs in reality you would be struggling with anything more than 3mtr that tractor, so probably a the combination drill would be better. 22:26
Great episode, glad you chose correctly with long grain rice, can you sell the rice saplings? Does not have to be a mistake, especially when you can pull water from a flooded rice field
I have an idea for you FSG. If you do a series where the money/assets from the previous one get transferred to the next, how about applying Rachel Reeves's inheritance tax to it? Anything to highlight what an asinine idea it was. Your family are farmers, so you know.
Hey FSG...I have NOT started playing my FS25 yet (I know I know.. but life has been very challenging the last couple months....) but I LOVE this map and what you are doing with this series.. Thus, I will probably be doing the same thing. I LOVE logging so really enjoy your logging work. I have a question: When you pick up the logs to drag to the sell point why do you connect to the outside log and then the rest, instead of connecting to the center log and then the others?? As I have not played yet maybe you MUST do it this way but I wanted to ask. Is there a reason? Better control? Just has to be? You simply felt like it? :) Thank you as always...i really do look forward to your vids.. I WISH so badly that I could be in one of your LIVE streams but I never know about them until they are posted AFTER. :( And I think, even if I did, I am at work when you do them (Eastern US time here and I work carrying hours..ugh) And lastly.... Are you going to do a vid/review of mods we should have for 25? I know it's very early and they are probably coming out fast and furious so the MUST HAVE's may not shine through until a few months down the road...but I value your opinion highly when it comes to mods to have (or not have) and can't wait for a video about them... Equipment/buildings/Quality of Life, etc... Thanks as always... Greg
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Hi mate! Any issues with Thrustmaster T248 in FS25 for you? I cant keybind my accelerate and clutch pedal. Everything works fine in FS22, not issues at all there
Can you not lease the John Deere tractor you have with the front loader attachment? I don’t have fs25 so I don’t know if you can. Lease it with that or not.
do you think FS25 is a big step up in the graphics update? does it run smoother frame rates but with better image? once enough mods and new maps are out i will upgrade from FS22 to 25. usually i wait until the Steam sale then get it. so it makes a nice overlap of the old game and the new one. i did that with the last 2 or 3 games, wait like 6 months or more then get it in sale.
it's the default sawmill, and I didn't want to mod anything but the map. But I agree. On the other hand; you're free to build your own sawmill, in any location you feel like when you can afford it.
@@TheFarmSimGuy IM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY . i dont think the ai will work in this map. ive tried and tried manualy making outlines for different size fields sometimes the ai will show a field but never not once will it do squat but turn in circles. prove me wrong
Not sure if you realise or not, but you constantly say, er umm, umm er, all the time. I’m loving your videos, but I find this really distracting. I’ll probably get flamed for pointing it out but I do it with the best of intentions. There are techniques for overcoming this and videos explaining these techniques. I sincerely hope you continue to produce more content as your videos are among the best!!
Yes I’m about 10years into overcoming a chronic fear of public speaking, which I’m aware of may sometimes come across in my vids, I’ve done a considerable amount of coaching and training too but it’s a work in progress

😂😂 It was a low point in my FS career

Try to buy Manchurian red pine in build mode. Cut 6m pieces and sell. See the result :)
You can sell rice saplings for a reasonable amount of money to say there free to grow if you get water from a river etc
You can modify that planter in the workshop to hold fertiliser too, saves buying a spreader and cheaper. Sell the saplings, usually they are a good price.
Good series. Yeah that sawmill looks to be a hassle. Looking forward to see this series grow.
Decent progress FSG, great episode!

How would you build something irl? :)
You start with a foundation. I recommend you flatten the terrain first - then build. :)

No that’s the total price for the tree (if all threes were the same length before cutting)

6m being most valuable seems odd when the log trailers come with 2.5/3/4/5m sections.
There’s sometime no logic to Giants decisions 😂
The sell point on this saw mill is in the wrong place it becomes very difficult to drop the load's properly
