When you hit P, all connectors toggle unless you've changed the control panel for that connector to not be used for parking. When you hit P to try to disconnect the Snowstorm, you disconnected the ships in your hangar. It is a lot easier, and safer, to use toolbar actions for controlling connectors.
What I do is to just turn off the parking trigger for all connectors in the terminal that way you can reserve 'P' for landing gears. Pressing 'P' only activates native landing gears so you wont have to worry about other grids falling. And for the love of stars I wish he would set up cruise control on his vehicles...
OML andrewman please be careful with the Factorum they're legitimately endgame and their ships really mean business, they'll ambush you too while you're inside the base so you need to be super careful with them
It actually makes sense for the theme of the next series to be upgrading the Snowstorm to all prototech gear. Not sure if that would fill out an entire year, but I suppose that may depend somewhat on how difficult the prototech is to get hold of.
Some of the encounters are pretty difficult. Not always from a combat perspective. The main issue is making prototech as you have to continuously find some of the components/scrap the blocks to build what you actually want.
This episode brought me to tears, so much work into a final IMMENSE accomplishment. So many things went right, and those that needed attention were minor. Seeing the drone launch work flawlessly and waiting for them to acquire target lock, then seeing them swarm in was chilling! Seeing all the forward, then port flank guns engage, exactly as it should have. One reason why you don't have to worry about ship rotation speed, you have 360 degree coverage and it worked! Same with bow thrusters.. maybe a couple more, but you have a battleship, she is nimble enough, but doesn't stop on a dime. Looking to the future checklist as you've said and other comments: Gravity Generator. Drone follow script (perhaps add a niche somewhere in the belly with a grinder. After an engagement you can fly them into the niche and recover materials). Cameras and screens on the bridge and aux control showing all directions (Port/Starboard/Forward/Aft/Dorsal/Ventral), plus Drone Bay and Internal Hanger. Button 3 at the stockpile console- could you make that a dock/undock toggle for the main cargo conveyer? You need to double hydrogen storage I think. She does not have long "legs". Landing gear on recessed pistons? AND the all important coffee station in the Briefing Room (Don't forget to put the ship blueprint on the scan table). I'm a 20 year Combat Engineer veteran and give you hearty congratulations on this series, and especially the AGS Snowstorm (Andrewman Gaming Ship). She is the pride of your fleet, and gives me pride in my heart. You have embodied the motto of the Combat Engineers : "Essayons" = "Let us try" But you go further: you DO.
that hanger is awesome poor old coffee roaster getting picked on by the snowstorm she finally flys when you go for the signals that will be interesting those drones are awesome and they will defend you and then become decoys
Okay...that script for the hangar doors is very very cool. I have no idea about scripting things. Honestly this has been very educational for me as I haven't played the game since starting a new game a few months ago. Life gets in the way more often than I would like. I really do have to get back to playing this. Your efforts and results are amazing. Honest.
You can do it without a script. Just need a timer block and event controller. Which is likely how I'm going to fix the setup I have. Though my biggest problem is when my oxygen tank Is full and I can't depressurize. You have to override the door. Not a big issue though if you don't have 100mill ice like I do constantly filling your tanks
the main reason many of us hate P is cos it doesn't default to removing disconnecting other grids from connected connectors.... the chances are you hit P and it disconnected those other grids connected.... I'd definitely say best option in any playthrough is get out the habit of pressing P and just assign a lock/unlock connector and gear onto your tool bar can say every time I hear "just press 'P'" it really makes me cringe as I know what's coming lol Awesome job though with the Snowstorm, and the drones performed admirably too thanks for another awesome episode Andrewman, and I look forward to the next episode
17:30 keep in mind that it might not open your doors, if you're in an oxygen environment as it will not experience a depressurized room at some point. But If you have an outside vent on depressurize you can check against it's state and open anyways 😉
Flying big ships like this is much easier if you use the arrow keys. But instead of adding more gryos hopefully you can just get some prototech gyros which would be better and with enough of them let you remove gyros. Someone else mentioned it and you figured it out, but when you were using P to disconnect from the base it disconnected all your ships (just add the main connector to the control seat bar). As for the drones i think a better mark 2 would be to add a mass block to them then when no enemies are detected return to the ship and have them get automatically grinded. (Could probably avoid the mass block if you do a reverse of your welding bay).
Ah yes, reminded the hard way to NEVER USE P ! The random base portraits placed around the AMG Snowstorm look awesome. The defense drones seem to have worked like someone had an unlimited military budget. I'm thinking it could be possible to have the drones return to the Snowstorm and dock at some connectors placed somewhere on the ship. (Snowstorm Beacon or Antenna required) If they could be configured like the mining drones (when no enemy detected), they could return and dock to the ship to stay powered til another enemy spawns nearby. That would take what, a couple AI blocks and ECs to transition between "Fight Mode" and "Return & Wait Mode" ? If the connectors only supply power, you wouldn't have to route conveyors out to them, but the drones could be re-used until they ran out of ammo. If not all that, how difficult would it be to program the drones to Thrust Override and RAM the enemy if they run out of ammo? Placing some armor panels on the sides of the bow would help cover up some of the odd coloring caused by panting the inside (like that wood paneling).
If you're going to the Earth... You should have brought all the resources you could. It would be nice to get a couple of those Unidentified signal things before going to Earth.
Here is something that I use that may be of help in writing scripts, it's called Easy Automation V2. You can find it on the workshop. With it you can open and close doors, change the color of lights, switch depressurization on/off and many other things, including putting information on to LCD screens.
Looks like your ships in the hangar might still have dampeners on! It was cool to see those drones work! I think you should keep the snowstorm intact for next season but maybe leave it in space. Maybe it gets hijacked or something but not destroyed, since we don’t need to watch you rebuild it again (and you wouldn’t want to).
There's a program you can use called Auto LCDs by mm master, it can display the status of certain blocks like projectors for your drone and your hydrogen tanks status all individually, there's a lot I can do but those are the main points that you would be interested in
Omg, we've all waited for this moment, the AMG Snowstorm shall sees the stars once again! on another note, what do you plan on trying out first when SE2 releases? its probably too early to ask... ive been catching up these past 2 months, and it was well worth it!
It probably won't be out for a while, but I have a feeling they'll announce an alpha or beta release on the 19th that'll let us get some play time with the new engine and stuff over the holidays. That's just speculation though.
You should have an in case of emergency button that opens the hangar very fast and just shuts off the atmosphere compressor thingy. I forget what they're called cause my brain has rotted from a solar opposites binge I went on earlier.
What if, for the next series, the Snowstorm not only is lost, but is in pieces, like 3 or 4, so as part of the series, you need to find and reattach the snowstorm back together.
Lol - "Press P" - 15 mins later - Sound of explosions... 😂
He plays for over 2 years, and talks about se2 but still uses p. Need to love him right 😂❤

I did that a lot lol
Ur ship in the hanger is thrusts r still on

9:00 Your ability to sing is really cool!
OML andrewman please be careful with the Factorum they're legitimately endgame and their ships really mean business, they'll ambush you too while you're inside the base so you need to be super careful with them
This!!! I highly recommend using some remote piloted cruise missiles to soften their defenses before getting inside railgun range!
NOOOOOOOOO COFFEE ROASTER AGAIN!!
It actually makes sense for the theme of the next series to be upgrading the Snowstorm to all prototech gear.

I’d put an action relay in your ships to be able to open and close hanger doors from your small ships

If you crash it again for next season i hope the S & N fall off to then make it the OW STORM
i’m dying 😂😂😂
I do love your random singing XD
Those staggered drone launches are really cool, btw. Nice job getting them to run correctly on their first test run!
Just want to say a massive thank you for the series i watch this religiously, incredible content creator keep up the good work 👏

You should definitely bring some sort of grinder ship to recycle the drones once you launch them.
Damn girl. Your sining is really good 😮
Would be funny to see you build your base as a ship and basically move everything with you. That should be the challenge.
17:30 keep in mind that it might not open your doors, if you're in an oxygen environment as it will not experience a depressurized room at some point. But If you have an outside vent on depressurize you can check against it's state and open anyways 😉
super good point!
We rise... Rise from the Icey plains, Rise from the frigid expanse, Rise above our frozen rock...
We rise above.
11:00 The Snowstorm can't decide if its a battleship or a party barge! [HOP HOP HOP!]

W episode Andrew, keep up the good work 😁
Have many drones ready for the next episode. Can't wait

would be so cool to stand in that observation area at the front when those autocannons start blazing
18:00 the eye is watching me
12:01 You could've used any song from NCS, lol. They have a lot of good music, all copyright free
17:53...be aware, you are being watched by the "vent eye" XD
12:36 just like I remember in high school
maybe a little late but a camera in the drone bay to see when they are done I think would be a cool touch
Thanks Andrew.
Idee foor 2025 fight dr valtorom en up grade de snowstorm met valtorum blocks
There's a program you can use called Auto LCDs by mm master, it can display the status of certain blocks like projectors for your drone and your hydrogen tanks status all individually, there's a lot I can do but those are the main points that you would be interested in
This is the first song you've sung that Icouldn't recognize, I think. Still really fun though!

7:00 At this point in the video, there are a couple of incomplete thrusters yet to be welded up.
🛡Spoiler Shield 🛡
Next series you should land or crash on Alien planet or Titan,i never saw you do a series on those planets
You should have an in case of emergency button that opens the hangar very fast and just shuts off the atmosphere compressor thingy. I forget what they're called cause my brain has rotted from a solar opposites binge I went on earlier.
pro you should make music :)
What if, for the next series, the Snowstorm not only is lost, but is in pieces, like 3 or 4, so as part of the series, you need to find and reattach the snowstorm back together.
Lets gooooo🎉
kind of good you can't use a jump drive using a button. it sounds like a good way to loose your ship
You make me cry every time you hit P for parking. Quit it.
for next season i think it would be cool if you re spawned on another planet in the same world but set your current stuff to hostile
Did u find out where u will put the proto stuff and if u do the special thing on ur storage box it will pull into ur ship
Yooo Andrew! Whats the tour date? I got my tickets ready!
this is peak
Does the AI defense block increase weapon range on ships you contol without AI control? Also did you increase the max range on new weapons?
hi have you setup that phone script from main base on the ship?
W
Bro I need your creativity and brains. Cus when I do survival on se it always goes wrong 😅
Next series you should should make it 2 or 3 year long. I feel like 1 year is too long.
Did anyone see this random red dude at 28:03?
you so shud of placed a sine sayinf rip coffee roter ternd in to the coffee press lol
Calculations made with a brazilian meme breaks me..
Upload the script please
STOP USING "P" TO UN-PARK.....it unlocks all connectors
Obly the connectors marked as used for parking.
Ugliest ship ever.
But still I like the series. Andrew's skills in designing ships are just not enough tbh.
