It gives you a tracking marker that updates to a new location as soon as you kill the echoes that it tracked previously. Once you hit milestones like 5 star echoes becoming available, I did a ton of merging, which is at the bottom of the 4 data bank menu windows. Got tons of either usable echoes or echoes that I still needed for my progress that way, heavily reducing the amount of echoes I had to target farm. Also, kill everything you come across ofc
Another thing you could do to level the data bank faster is fighting red enemies. If I recall, if you don't get any rank 5 (golg) echoes at all, then you would have to get the rank for of just about every single echo. It is highly recommended to find these red enemies, and take them down, as their guaranteed gold echo will help you greatly. It is generally betteer to use ranged dps, to allow you to steer clear of them as most red enemies will one-shot you. (also do all the quests you get, you need union level 30 to collect rank 15)
@@felipekraus6049 There are different ranking of the red/mist enemies, so it may be that. If you fought one that was relatively close to your level and had a brighter, more orange color name, thet might be it. Every mist enemiy I fought was a deep red color, and were either level 85 or 100+
Another banger content! I agree there is no right answer to the question whether or not to save those echoes until you get to data bank 15. It's the same idea as saving all those stamina until you get to a certain level where you can farm max rarity echoes/artifacts, but really? How will you even reach that level ASAP if you don't spend those stamina? Same concept here, glad you brought it up, smack!
REALLY IMPORTANT NOTE: you cannot get the boosts of rank 15 until you're union level 30. I strongly advise people make it to 30 first and then make this decision. It's possible you'll be pretty close already and not need to burn too many rolls early or you might even be able to grind it out in 30 mins or so with some targeted farming. Not saying this is a bad idea but just be careful you don't spend resources to blast data rank up only to get walled by union level and have to grind anyway.
For people who are complaining. Who says speed running to 15 is NOT fun? Getting to the 5* Echo is fun as well. Getting the best of best gear. Now when I go around the Open World. And taking my time. I easily get purple and gold echos. That seems fun to me. Going to do this strategy. 🎉
Another huge tip to players who have gotten their databanks up until you're farming purple echoes consistently: You can instantly recycle the green and blue echoes that you've been collecting all this while (fourth tab on the databank). Doing so can net u random purple echoes which will in turn grant u MORE databank exp.
After finishing story I went from databank 12 to 19 today, all solo. This game is actually crazy fun when u get some combos down. The grind from databank 14 to 15 is the hardest but after that you can fly through them again cuz u can kill whatever and u can use the reroll function. ggs nice vid!

I just hit data bank 15 by doing this. Deffo would recommend as it saves so much time. And you can argue the 5 stars you’d get from reaching level 15 early is more then what you’d get from using the merge at level 15 anyways. Just get to 15 asap and get that cr piece on ur dps

note: when you reach union lvl30 and data bank 15++ better max fram echo mobs cause grinding gold echo is hard cause random stats give so dam anoying.. and elite dropping gold echo is 50/50 then another 50/50 on main stats.. better kill all elites..
The best way I found was just tracking them from the data bank and it seems to be a higher chance when you track them from there when I was just doing it randomly maybe I got an echo 2 out of 10 times but when I tracked them from the bank it dropped almost every time
On day 3 i decided to grind pokedex to 15 from 10 and got it to 17. While you use detect per mob you just run into other mobs along the way + other loot and at 15 you pretty much have to get everything again. So if you focus farm pokedex, it goes fast. Also found shiny turtle around bell turtle area i think, it's just a skin you can use for other turtles. My problem right now is that you need energy in so many places, you don't have enough to lvl up 3 ppl to 60 with their weapons and echoes even if you refresh. Lvl 30 union unlocks new passive (middle one) in skills menu and to activate it you need weekly mats, so there's that too. Also not sure if you can roll all stats on 15 yellow echoes from just world resources, without clearing every golden rift thing. But there are other ways to get them.
Very proud of how I’ve gone about the data bank. I’m just shy of level 19, and once I hit 19 I’ll have a better chance of getting 5 rarity echoes than 4 rarity. Gonna grind my Jiyan’s build HARD once I hit 19. Edit: I hit 19, or rather I have enough exp to hit 19 but I can’t actually level that up until the next world level at union 40. Sigh

Dont forget that you need to do the adventure guide, it gives databank xp and is required to hit lvl 15. Edit: don't try to type a comment right after a set at the gym :p
I've never been this lucky at the start of a gacha, only 5 star I'm missing is the loin boy, got jiyan in 12 pulls, got my vering from beginner in 2 multies, and my target Calcharo within 40 I think
As someone who just farmed all the echoes to 4 star quality and reached level 15, Unfortunately you cannot unlock the level unless you're solaris-3 rank 4, which means you have to level up to UL30 first and do the ascension quest for you to be able to unlock Data bank lv 15 and start getting gold quality echoes.
The fish bastards can be annoying, because if you kill them in the water the echo disappears. This is the only reason I had to hunt them and didn't have copies by the time I was doing the final grind. Recommend using Yangyang to pull them on to land to avoid this.
im at data bank lvl 18 with enough exp to get to lvl 19(5star echo drop rate 80%) but it doesnt leveled up and says that i need world level 5 which need union level 40, so currently the highest data bank level you can get is 18 with 5* echo drop rate at 50%
Everyone complained about the substat ranges in the beta but they left them anyway, its kinda concerning because idk if they're gonna listen to the players when it comes to stuff like that They could easily just make you increase the values by using dupes or something so at least there is a guarantee of the highest rolls without being super easy

I was wondering where they put that function until it suddenly lighted itself up when i hit lvl 8 or so. One downside the system has is that u can't use Echoes in it that u have leveled, so don't level greens or blues if u can help it. That said i've had a blast with the Echo system so far, its down to earth and easy to understand.
A question for those that play on their phones; are you having bugs or connection issues like I’ve seen people complaining about? And have ever played genshin on your phones? I started playing on a ASUS ROG but I tried it on my iPhone today and I have zero issues except the color palette. I had more connections issues trying to play genshin on my phone and combat was not fun because of the button format but her I had none of those issues. Maybe others have a different experience
I stopped trying to fight the bosses and went to tacit marks. I wish i never fought any bosses at all. After 3 it seems that they are a guaranteed echo on the first kill, so it's a good idea to do the bosses *after* leveling the data bank.
Pro tip, you wont reach lv15 just doing that. Im at 14 REALLY close to 15 and all my echoes are already purple and you wont get any more exp like that. Just do it until you have the echoes at the limit of what you can have(blue if you can only have blue or purples if you can only have purple). To move on youll need to complete the guidebook and get more exp from that. At least thats the only way to keep getting exp at where i am right now.
The merge strategy is weird, like yes I can get stuff faster but we won’t be getting 2-3 star echoes anymore and it feels a lot more efficient to convert a bunch of 2/3 star into 5 stars at 15 - but at the same time getting to 15 faster means we can farm 5 stars in the overworld quicker… it’s a trade off ig

its not good to do the data merge if you are not close to or equal to union level 30 because the data bank level 15 is locked til you reach union level 30.

another method to quickly rise data bank is to beat Red Mist Echoes since they guarentee to drop Gold or Purple i don't know if they respawn? since its been 2 days for me and they didn't respawn
"grinding" lol. it takes 5 hours to go from mob to mob from 5 to 15, and then 2-3 more hours for orange level 18, then you are gated again by level 40. And it's one time thing for a long future.

I'm at data bank 14. I'm at 135/200 exp to 15. I'm missing one Calamity Class. I think its locked behind the story, not sure though

it takes 5 hours to go from mob to mob from 5 to 15, and then 2-3 more hours for orange level 18, then you are gated again by level 40. And it's one time thing for a long future.
im at databank 19 almost 20 but i need to get to union 40. i can confirm this how i leveled up.
