WOWZER! You solved my problem! For several months the vent on the drivers right side has intermittently blown hot air when the AC was on. A local shop diagnosed it as the blend attenuator and told me it would take $600 to fix it because the dash had to be removed. As per your video, I removed the HVAC fuse for 15 seconds, turned on the engine, and everything worked fine. The air had not blown as cold as it should have for months. Now he system works like new. HUGE thanks! Note to others, the HVAC fuse location in my 2014 Silverado is on the left side of the dash. The panel has to be removed in order to access. Until I looked in the owner’s manual I didn’t realize there were fuses in that location. The fuse box under the hood does contain an AC fuse but not the HVAC fuse.
Great job bud. 1st video I've seen that actually helps my year make model. You need a camera man! Seriously, thanks for the video gonna tackle this in the morning when it's only 88°f 🤞
I've got something similar going on with my 14 Sierra, but mine I believe is tied into the one on the top of HVAC since when I have both side turned to cold, the drivers side vents blow semi-cold. I have the part just got to pull out more stuff to be able to get at the top screws.
Thanks for the tech tips now when I see somebody with that body style truck and they are experiencing that particular problem I can blurt out an idea and seems smarter than I am hahaha
My 2014 GMC Yukon is stuck on blowing cold through the front only but no heat and it will not move to floor or defrost also the rear hvac is stuck on blowing cold through the floor vent and will not move to the overhead I don’t think all the actuators would fail all a once in the same position so there must be another problem Do you think the control in the dashboard could be causing the problem I see all the videos about actuators and swing door but nobody changes the control

Bro I just wanna say thank you so much I have this problem right now on my truck and I couldn’t find a video anywhere on how to fix it until now!
Mines in the shop now. Several hours later I'm still waiting to hear back. Scary movie.

Did you already try unhooking the battery ground and letting the computer recalibrate the actuator door

pretty sure the arrow on that filter goes down
You just swapped out the mode actuator not the blend actuator. The blend actuator is the first one you came to buried in the dash.
There are 2 one for each side.
So that actuator you replaced, did it fix the issue? That actuator you replaced above the pedals, controls the lever arm below the radio?
Yes that's correct, it was sticking and works smoothly now!
Well done. Thanks👍
Thanks
Changed the actuator for hot/cold on dual air took me an hour alot of cussing and scratched up like you wouldn't believe 🤨👍
Did you have to do a reset after you put in the new part
There wasnt anything to reset as far as I know.
Is the temperature control actuator near this one?
That is in behind the glovebox

Do you have a link for the part? I wanna make sure I order the right one

I would assume there is a problem with your module or sensor but it might be hard to figure out without tearing it all part and testing each unit.
Does anybody know where the air control mode is located on a 2015 GMC Sierra?
Sorry I haven't looked into that one.
Trash audio 👏👏
Sorry mate
