I have had my Revelot Gentus Silver *same as in this video)for a while now and it gets a lot of wrist time. Easy to read, sporty and dressy and that wrist roll is so sparkley...definitely sparkley! Thanks Jody, your reviews have turned me on to some real gems❤❤
I like how Revelot has managed to do what Tissot won't: not have an extra link that artificially extends the lug to lug much further than it should be!
Thx for the review ! I still don't understand why manufacturers keep on putting transparent casebacks with basic Seiko movements : if they are robust, they are most ugly IMHO. How often it spoilt my move to a purchase !
Dang. I rarely fall for the homage/copage-watches. But this have something! The 40 with white dial is really tempting as a companion to my blue PRX PM80.
Too many to choose from. The guilloche is nice enough and it ticks some of the boxes. Pretty good value, and I'd be happy enough to buy, if i was able to choose.
Very little thought went into this one. One of the best looking dials I own in salmon is my SecondHour Mandala with the MIYOTA 9039. As someone who enjoys changing up the looks from steel to straps, captive lugs are always a deal breaker for me as well. I'm not a fan of the selling format of this brand offering EB allotments of 20.
I'm speechless. It's bad enough when you realize your new Swiss MB is a GG homage but at least a release designed by someone who has contributed to over 1,000 designs for various Swiss makers, but now to see this Revelot as a nearly 1:1 copy of my 2020 DWISS M3 case and bracelet is not a "Lot to Revel" about. Since I bought my first DWISS (RS1-SL) of three after the JOMW review, Jody, you owe it to me to check out the M3, which is only 5 times more than the Gentus. Referencing these dials to a GS is even more abominable.
Jody - if it was between the two; would you go for an Aventurine dial with NH35 (therefore has ghost date), or Blue Skeleton dial with NH70 (therefore no ghost position). Both these options can be Bi-colour. It’s a dial vs movement choice dilemma!
Great review as usual. There’s a reason Revelot sells out all the time. I just wish they had date version in 40 with an automatic. Again, they are not going to need my business to well though. Well done again Revelot.
It's nice. I like the 40mm and Roman numerals. My only thought is that the numerals and indices seem about 20% too large for the watch. At least to my eyes, anyway.
Nice watch and excellent value .... but.....in the wrist roll it looks like the endlinks come down at too severe an angle then the bracelet has to reverse direction slightly to cater for Jody's wrist size. Maybe its more obvious because of the way the bracelet polishing catches the light (great btw). I went back and watched the PRX review and dont see the same effect. My watch OCD and the fact I often spot these things only after buying means I am very critical of my own mistakes - no fault of the watches.
The guilloche dial on the quartz reminds me of the diamond patterned rubber mat that you put in the back of a work vehicle. Has the same rounded edges, doesn’t look properly sharp at all. I’m also surprised that they didn’t use an NH 38 rather than an NH35. Using an NH38 you don’t have a ghost date.
Integrated bracelet watches have never really excited me. The only one that ever jumped out to me is the CW Twelve. I realized that watch is 3x the price and not really compatible. There is just something interesting about it. For this watch I think I like the silicone strap quartz more then the bracelet but I like the Romans on the 40mm automatic. I'm not negative on this watch because it's a homage I have never shied away from homages but I find I am choosing to wear them less and less. I have a Borealis and San Martin Homage that I think I will be letting go. Both are great but get no worst time. Great video as always Jodi!
I’m on the fence about this… I love the look of the white dial on the Revelot but I’m still eyeing the Tissot PRX blue dial (quartz version of course). I’m torn!!!!

Yea but subjective though these things are it is not in my opinion as handsome as any of the above nor the PRX. It is a bit busy and whilst multiple options are normally welcome in my mind it is equally valid to say that the makers don't have a definitive design that convinces even themselves . That sounds harsh when someone has put effort in to design all these variants . Should have just two imo.

At last! A watchmaker that puts the "VI" the right way round. Why do so many watchmakers put the Arabic numeral at 6 o'clock the right way up but when they use a Roman numeral they decide to put it upside-down......

I absolutely LOVE these but they only offer their gorgeous "SKY STEEL" and "Flamingo" dials on just selected sizes, and some only with quartz!! I emailed them about this! I would LOVE either of these dials in the Automatic 40mm Two-tone but they are not currently offered...
missed opportunity: numerals and indices should have been much smaller and dials should have sharp points- this is how you suggest precision. Which any time piece should be all about. Make parts rudimentary- suggest time keeping rudimentary and approximate. (I do find Pino Silvestre lume effect quite amusing tho).
I purchased the universal and had a poor buying experience with Revelot. Whilst the watch looks nice it doesn’t feel premium. I know it was inexpensive but one of the problems was that they overcharged me in the first place. They did sort it out eventually but it took a couple of months to sort out. I don’t think I will buy another watch from them.
I wanted to buy one to compare it to the SN076 I bought in the 11.11 sale but in the last step my credit card wouldn’t accept the currency… was weird to say the least. In regards to the dial, technically on the autos, there are Roman numerals applied at 12/3/6/9 and 1…
I think 40mm is the smallest I would wear but this one wearing even smaller than a 40mm prx I think could be a disappointment if I order one, im tempted but the hesitation is hard. 😢
Revelot has convinced me. I've finally found an integrated bracelet watch that I like under $8k. I'm definitely going to grab at least one of these when they restock
The integrated bracelet sport model will always be a persistent category so the challenge for future contenders in the arena will be to create something familiar and purposeful yet distinctive. I like the guilloche look, but no one should be fooled into thinking this is genuine guilloché and not a stamped pattern, which is really the only option at this price, given the amount of time and specialized skill and equipment required to do engine turning on a dial. This looks to be a good way to get the look for less.
I'm not sure why everyone always has to mention this. Not many watches these days are hand carved. A CNC can do a better job and stamping gets similar results but not as sharp.
There is just a lot going on with this watch. I think the oversize Roman numerals are a bit gaudy, but I never liked Romans in the first place. On the see though case backs. I think the issue is that the plain movement looks a little drab, but there is still a need to show that this is equipped with an automatic. Print on the see-though case back was infamously used by Panerai to conceal a bone standard ETA movement when they advertised it as "in house". So not only is the trend ugly, but has dubious origins. Oddly enough, one company that did get this right is Montblanc, a sister company of Panerai. They use a smoke colored case back crystal to great effect. It mutes the ETA 7750 inside the Timewalker Chrono just enough to balance it with the rest of the watch. It is REALLY well done. I think smoked casebacks are the way to go unless the movement is heavily decorated.
Thank you for having Mrs. JOMW try on the watch. My wrist is about the same size as hers. I was nervous about buying it until i saw it on her wrist. I bought the 36mm bracelet version and it fits perfectly on my 6" wrist. There were more links available to remove, so someone with a smaller wrist can wear it.

I’ve secured myself an aventurine dial on launch day. The early bird price was really nice. I hesitated with the silver guilloché dial but went for the sparkly one in the end ha ha And because it’s an actual homage and not a 1:1 copy I can wear it without feeling like I’m wearing a wannabe nautilus
Jody has noticed we are well and truly over the whole integrated bracelet thing but hasn't noticed that the world is so bored of bloody generic Seikos being reviewed every week!
Im surprised you didnt say anything about 50m water resistance, usually you would mention youd rather get 100m especially if your wife is gonna use it places it can get wet

Not so long ago, microbrand prices were in the 200-300 range. And Ali around 75. I think at 250 it's exactly where it should be.

The skeletonized one looks the best by far! To my eye, the roman numerals are inspired by the Chopard Alpine Eagle.

I'm seeing AP Royal Oak, PP Nautilus, with a hint of Hublot Big Bang. Not entirely in-your-face, but definitely not under-the-radar.

Honestly though, I think the steel / white dial variant is more subdued, and blends together much better than the others.
A little bit of B&M Riviera too, with the sapphire dial and Arabic numerals.

The Revelot Hexmariner is a brilliant take on the most cloned watch on earth. These are also very interesting indeed

Skeletons are about the same size. Body fat is what changes wrist size. He probably lost a little weight.
